Kingdom Come Arriving back to the Skalitz

    Arriving back to the Skalitz

Why was this game either A: shat on or B: ignored by most of the gaming community?

    Posted: 23 Jun 2020 04:22 PM PDT

Seriously does this game have flaws? Fuck yeah, but at the same time this might be legit the most realistic and interesting RPG I have ever played. If you're looking for more dialogue option and player choice play Fallout: New Vegas but if you want a calm (except when Cumans are bashing your fucking skull in with maces), relaxing but still very realistic RPG then play this. I don't understand the hate for this game when Red Dead Redemption 2 gets 10 out of 10s by every game critic despite not being perfect either.

I see a lot people criticizing the combat for people ''impossible'' and yeah I'll agree with the lockpicking being terrible on PS4 but the melee combat in this game is fucking phenomenal. Like most games like GTA V have awful melee which makes it completely useless, especially when you can turn your enemies into swiss cheese with LMGs and miniguns but this game's combat is amazing and very realistic, at least from what I've heard about medieval history and generally just makes me want to fight, at least when I'm not running away from ten bandits (haha bad memories).

Now I'll admit this game does have its fair share of bugs and pop-ins (looking at you Rattay) but it's not like even the biggest companies like Bugthesda or Rockstar make games with no glitches. GTA V which is considered one of the best games ever by critics and audiences alike has a shit ton of bugs, and that's a major studio. Here we have Kingdom Come: Deliverance, a game made by a small studio with its fair share of bugs, but everything else is nearly perfect and yet the reviews are overwhelmingly negative.

Anyone notice that Henry's mom and Theresa look strikingly similar?

    Can't Block AI Riposte?

    Posted: 24 Jun 2020 07:40 AM PDT

I've noticed that when an enemy attacks just after a perfect block, despite having about an hours worth of time before he hits me and, despite being able to press the Q button about 100 times, alot of these attacks slip past the shield and hit me.

When I riposte, 9/10 times it just leads me into a perfect block or a master strike.

Has anyone else noticed this or am I just crazy?

I wanted to make a video that captures my experience with the game. I think it turned out well.

    New player lockpicking query

    Posted: 24 Jun 2020 04:43 AM PDT

So Im playing the game on console for the first time and I have just entered Rattay. Having encountered the lockpicking system a couple times already (and already trying multiple tutorials) i am wondering , is it possible to progress through the game without picking locks ?

    Henry too Stronk?

    Posted: 23 Jun 2020 10:08 PM PDT

I was trying to complete baptism of fire for the first time and got my health really low before fighting Runt so I decided to load another save and decided to beef up Henry first and earn some more money. I trained with Captain Bernard and decided to say fuck it to being a good boy and had Henry brutally murder a lot of people and take their goods and decided to do the Ruins activity. Anyway I got to the point where Henry could beat Captain Bernard three times in a row and win the tournament with no loses though he still had a bit of trouble with the last guy. And so I decided to take on the Quest and ate an Embrocation potion before fighting Runt.

And it was BRUTAL it was like what he did to Henry at Skalitz but reversed. Riposted his first attack and stabbed him then he died in less than 5 seconds...

Anyway on to the main question will Henry run in to much stronger enemies later down the story or has Henry already become a master swordsman?

Any way to kill Captain Bernard? I've tried leading him off a cliff. Maybe poisoning where he eats?

Who would you like to play as in kcd 2?

    Posted: 23 Jun 2020 07:12 PM PDT

I have some ideas for KCD2 - how do I reach their team? I'll post some here.

    Posted: 24 Jun 2020 06:02 AM PDT

I know, as a developer myself (not game developer, by the way), these things aren't easy to be implemented, but here are my ideas:

    About locks and doors

#1 More than one kind of lock in doors and containers

Not all locks are the same. The locking mechanisms are different. Also visually they can be a bit different. But I don't if that was the case of a 15th or 16th century Bohemia.

    #2 Force break-in some doors

The most fragile doors could have this alternative, but it wouldn't be a stealth approach.

#3 Gradually open doors if I want to

For example, if I press F and then hold E, the door can be opened gently and silently.

    About hiding

    #4 Hiding inside things

The possibility of entering some bushes or wagons to better hide.

    #5 Hiding behind objects

That would make you harder to be detected according to how much of your body is hidden.

    About combat, weapons and armor

    #6 Visual cuts

See the cuts you make on other people's bodies and faces.

    #7 Rocks

Using rocks and other objects as weapon (or to attract attention, depending on the approach), grabbing them and throwing.

    #8 Cleaning and polishing

The possibility of yourself polishing your armor and weapons, as well as cleaning the blood. Manually.

    About houses

#9 Buy or build stuff for your home

Like fences, bushes, trees, containers, etc.

#10 Your home is really a house

Why only beds inside inns? Our guy Henry is ambitious!

    About other stuff

#11 Using material to upgrade or make new weapons and armor

Specially if the character is still Henry or if it's also a blacksmith.

    #12 Gathering material yourself

The woodcutter's axe would really cut wood. And you could also get rocks with the pickaxe. Both manually!

#13 Cut wood or picked rocks would stay like that until the end

What you destroyed would be kept like that forever...

    #14 Planting new trees

...Until you or someone plant more trees.

    What are your thoughts? Share!

    Difficulty installing/running mods

    Posted: 23 Jun 2020 11:15 PM PDT

Hey peeps, I've been looking all over the internet on how to install mods correctly on KCD, but I've had absolutely 0 luck in getting any of them to run in any way. Is there an up to date guide, or anything someone can point out that I'm doing wrong?

    So far I've

    1. Installed Vortex and added the mods that way, which didn't work.
    2. Created a Mods folder in the main KCD folder for Steam and manually added the Mod-
      * As the Zip it was downloaded as
      * As the Folder inside the Zip files, and finally,
      * Directly to the KCD/Data folder with the .pak files from the Zips

I also searched for where to place the .manifest files, but I've been unable to locate where to put them other than "In the mod's 'root' folder", which would mean the KCD/Mods/(Mod's Name) Folder if i'm correct, which, would mean that this isn't working as well.

If anyone has any ideas, or would like to dm me correctly on discord, my disc is Cortaeali#7347 and I'd really appreciate the help!

    I just finished the game

    Posted: 23 Jun 2020 05:10 PM PDT

I feel like I rushed through, done all the main quests, and any dice stuff I done was because it was in some way related to the main stuff. Completed it in 5 days, 57 hours. And I feel soooooooo hollow now, is this the type of game you go back and play but do something different this time? Like be a gambler, or a thief ETC

    Posted: 23 Jun 2020 04:27 PM PDT

I have about 22 days logged into KCD on console, and there is only one small change I would make.

    Posted: 24 Jun 2020 04:29 AM PDT

An option for third person. Combat especially would be fantastic.

    Posted: 24 Jun 2020 03:30 AM PDT

I am quite new to this game, and need help with how to deal with the guard inside of the silvermine. Because that guard always gets me when I am leaving the mine with the silver.
