Would be really cool if our choices from this game carried over to the next game.

    Posted: 25 Jun 2020 03:56 AM PDT

Since basically every side mission in the game has multiple endings depending on what you do, it would be much more fun if we all could carry on with those relationships, instead of us all just getting the same generic versions where people that might have hated our guts in kcd now likes us in the new game. They would of course also have to add a generic version for all the people who didn't play the first one or is playing on another console, etc. This also seems much more logical than creating a generic version that all of us start from since our choices in the first game feels kind of wasted if they don't matter anymore later on

    The game's honestly brilliant.

There's this quest for Charlatan where I have to spook Felix from the charcoal burner's grave and for that I need a dog that howls in a creepy way, except I killed that dog earlier without knowing anything cause its howl legit creeped me out and I didn't want to hear it again. Somehow that was the most meta moment that I experienced in this game so far. This also caused a bug where I couldn't use the howl that I learned even though I was holding the button and was on the camp territory, but I solved it already.

    KCD playthrough spice ups

    Posted: 25 Jun 2020 09:30 AM PDT

Came up with a few ways to spice up your next playthrough feel free to add some more.

Sin free-Do not commit any crime unless main quest essential. If you are looking for a extra challenge add poaching as a crime.

Battlefield gambler-At every combat situation you must randomly pick a type of weapon using spinner or such.

Savage- Food cannot be brought instead you must either hunt or loot food. You cannot use soup pots either

Scavenger-Unless quest essential nothing can be brought and everything must be looted. This also includes weapons.

Stubborn blacksmith- All weapons, clothes and armor must be repaired by Henry and not a trader.

Random learner- Perks points must be chosen at random.

Feel free to comment your own

    Where to go from here...

It would be cool if we start the sequel in the same area, meeting and catching up with the same characters, but then also get to travel to Kuttenberg, or Kolin, or even Prague with all those smelly arseholes. It would fulfill my nostalgia needs, allow for further fleshing out of existing characters, and give the opportunity to introduce lots of new faces and places.

Lockpicking : Too hard or Too easy, no middle ground ?

    Posted: 25 Jun 2020 08:38 AM PDT

I'm playing on PS4 with a controller. The original lockpicking using both controller seems quite odd. The right joystick doesn't seem to be turning the lock wheel correctly. I beleive it's maybe something with how the input are sent to the game... to my experience it's almost impossible to simply turn gently the lock. At some point the wheel will just return to its original state as if the input was simply lost.

On the other hand, the Simplified version using R1 to rotate the lock seems way to easy. I've never broken a lockpick. When I see all theses perks to help with broken lockpicks, and how easy it now is, I feel like I'm cheating the game.

What do you choose and what are your thoughts on bot lockpicking modes with a controller ?

How to complete In the Cloister?

    Posted: 25 Jun 2020 02:34 AM PDT

My current objective is "Get to know other novices" but what exactly am I supposed to do? Is this quest even completable since the objectives loop the monk's schedule? I don't want to accidentally fail it by escaping the monastery during the main quest.

Should I use a reshade and mods?

    Posted: 24 Jun 2020 07:15 PM PDT

I played king don come back in 2018 a tiny bit but got caught up in other things and I'm looking to come back to it. After playing lots of rdr2 and modded Skyrim I was wondering since it's been so long: does KCD have really good lighting and natural colors or should I get lighting mod or something and a reshade?
