Biggest thing I want to see in a sequel is recruitable companions/followers. Posted: 21 Jan 2021 10:34 AM PST The main reason why is because of the nature of Kingdom Come combat. It's a pretty well developed system in terms of 1v1 dueling but goes right out the window when you have to take on multiple opponents. Unless you play it stealthily to even the scales it quickly devolves into a chaotic abuse of wonky mechanics to hopefully bull your way through a brawl. Adding recruitable companions would make for some way more dynamic and engaging skirmishes. Plus most if not all good RPGs have the option. People that particularly enjoy going lone wolf always have that option remaining by simply not taking on a companion. [link] [comments]

Posted: 21 Jan 2021 02:36 AM PST Though this is just a theory, and it assumes that the next KCD2 begins pretty much set the second that the first one ends, and you play as Henry. In my opinion the game probably begins around April-May of 1403 during the treaty between Jobst and Sigismund and initially begins in North Bohemia, with them continuing from the Epilogue and meeting Otto Von Bergrow where Henry and Capon try to give him the letter and try and convince him to support Wencelaus IV, if judging by history, this fails. There could also be a mission to free Wencelaus IV by helping John of Liechtenstein free him. The game at this point could vary depending on the situation, but I feel like part of the game would probably be going from castle to castle across North Bohemia trying to get Lords to join with Wencelaus and build up an army, along with hunting down Istvan Toth, there would probably be some kind of confrontation with him, and he duels Henry with Radzigs sword, perhaps either escaping and taking the sword, escaping and dropping the sword or gets killed and Henry takes the sword. During this time there would probably be some skirmishes between Henry and Sigismunds soldiers and near the end of the game there would be a battle between your army and Sigismunds, probably cumulating in you killing Markvart Von Auliz with the sword. The battle ends, and you give the sword to Radzig who knights you and essentially ending the game. (Could be a final epilogue battle/hunting down against some Lieutenants of Sigismund). Comment below on what you think of the theory or if you have any theories yourself. [link] [comments]

From the Ashes: Did I screw myself by getting the most expensive grain? Posted: 21 Jan 2021 10:48 AM PST I saw online that Ushitz was the cheapest grain option. I also saw online that payment for the supplies is a one-time payment. I later learned that Ushitz actually has the most expensive grain, but I was already there, so, thinking it was a one-time payment I figured I'd just eat the extra cost. I then realize that it is actually that amount EVERY DAY, meaning I'm paying twice as much as I need to for grain every day. I am also several hours past that point now. So is there a way I can lower the cost or redo the choice, or am I locked into paying that much every day for the rest of the game? And if that is the case, is it still possible to reach that 2000 coins a day goal? [link] [comments]

Posted: 21 Jan 2021 10:10 AM PST So, there I was; I'd done various capers of crime, paid enough fines to fund Rattay's tourney till 2021, killed multiple guards (the reason is coming up), cleared all of Rattay of shop guards, was a general nuisance to the populace (for example, I killed the apothecarys' guard, planted him in the store downstairs, knocked out the apothecary and carried him outside round back, then sat in the dark at the alchemy bench and watched with glee as he gets up, goes home and comes running back out screaming about the dead guy) and I even ended up grabbing items from the armourer and galloping like the wind to Peshek's mill when his chest stopped storing items. I was HATED. Guards shook me down constantly; one even started a random fight with me for literally no reason. I head cracked him real good, I did!! And let's just say, nobody patrolled side alleys solo anymore, or else they never returned...So...I was done for now and wanted to get my rep to be more...reputable. And replenish the many dead folks for future stealth xp farming. Obviously, I butchered the 'bread, fresh bread' woman with a rusty mace in plain view of the bailiff, surrendered and served my time like a model mass-murdering, kleptomaniacal madman. When one gets out of a 10 day stretch, one inevitably seeks the...company...of bath wenches. So, off I go. I hire the wench, and just as it goes black, Henry says 'I could do with a bite to eat'. I thought that was funny, him with the woman only thinking about his stomach. THEN...we 'finish', and good ol' Henry ain't hungry no more ;) ;) I love this game. [link] [comments]

Alchemy Guide Expanded: Trial and Error Perk Posted: 20 Jan 2021 02:59 PM PST Its been several months since I posted last and since I was playing Kingdom Come. While I believe I checked these recipes, I may not have been as thorough as my first guide. My interest has waned, but I decided I would post this, at least. While I'm sure I'll return to KC:D, I figure something is better than nothing in the meantime. Keeping in mind, this is for those that are looking to get the most out of Trial and Error without auto-brewing. For many, auto-crafting is just going to be the better option considering the saved time it provides. In any case, this is what I put together last time I was investing time into KC:D. Hope its of use to some folks out there. To make these recipes, as a basic guideline, you could simply remove all heating steps from my first guide. This is simply to have a separate page of recipes that are easy to reference. Like last time, if anyone finds a problem with a recipe, let me know and I'll update it (eventually). Trial and Error Guide This is an optimization guide for Trial and Error. Trial and Error, while a convenience for making mistakes for a beginner, actually makes it so recipes are heatless. Intentionally writing a recipe where the only mistake is never heating the brew, leaves you with these x3 efficiency recipes. Weapon stop on its own mid swing, possible bug? Posted: 21 Jan 2021 01:14 AM PST I am fighting in open ground with some guards. I master strike one of the enemy and immediately follow up with a overhead swing , but the swing never happened as halfway through the swing animation, Henry stop and draw his sword back. It never happens in 1v1, only in group fights, what is the issue? Is it a bug? I do overhead strike only so that I don't accidently hit the guards and aggro them. [link] [comments]

How to use the half sword combo? Posted: 20 Jan 2021 11:38 PM PST So, this is my third playthrough. I don't remember the half-sword combo being this hard, but whenever I hit all the right buttons nothing happens 99% of the time. Does this combo have some sort of different rhythm or am I missing something else? [link] [comments]
Capon's Champion quest question Posted: 20 Jan 2021 06:51 PM PST I got the Capon's Champion quest today, where I am asked to compete in the Rattay tournament on Sir Hans' behalf. My Henry isn't super-skilled, with most levels in around the 5 range. I competed in the tournament, won the first match, but lost the second. I'm trying to basically figure out whether I need to reload to beat the second match. I looked at the wiki and it doesn't seem to make a big difference or that I'll miss any content, future quests, or rewards by losing in the tournament. Sir Hans wasn't too bothered by my loss, he gave me 100 groschen and told me I should compete again in the future. Am I cool just progressing and just competing in the tournament again in the future?
