So after 130 hours of playing I just found out a few nights at an Inn meant you own the room

    Posted: 19 Jan 2021 10:09 PM PST

Damn would've been so useful. Always end up going back to the Rattay Mill to save my loot. Especially the Cuman gear for the Masquerade quest.

Anyone else discovered something really deep in your playthrough

I bet that is what Dan thought while making this game

    Ah yes the two options

Is it possible to overcome the dueling tourney with skill alone?

    Posted: 20 Jan 2021 03:32 AM PST

Trying to win the tournament., and the second opponent does all kinds of stuff like parry-and-riposte, pommel strikes etc. Sometimes his attacks are unblockable. I have 2 combos unlocked of my own but have never managed to activate them because I can barely do 3 slashes before I need to block myself.

The only thing I do Is slash at him from different angles and block his attack when I can. But some of his attacks are unblockable, and he has a lot oh HP so after a long fight he always whittles me down

Maybe I just need to be higher level.

edit: I defeat the first opponent with ease. The second in stark contrast, leave almost no openings, and counters many of my strikes.

Is this quest a stat-check or do can it be done at any level? I had hoped I could master the fundementals of combat, and win by that alone.

Should I restart on hardcore mode?

    Posted: 20 Jan 2021 07:02 AM PST

I'm 26 hours into the game and I'm at the point in the main story where you have to find the German knight in Sasau and I keep thinking to myself I could be doing this all in hardcore right now. I started on normal because I saw threads where people said starting on hardcore would be too difficult because you're not used to the mechanics but now I'm familiar with the game should I just restart? Or will I finish this playthrough first then do another one on hardcore?

    Trial and Error Guide

    Posted: 20 Jan 2021 10:03 AM PST

Its been several months since I posted last, and since I was playing Kingdom Come. While I believe I checked these recipes, I may not have been as thorough as my first guide. My interest has waned, but I decided I would post this, at least. While I'm sure I'll return to KC:D, I figure something is better than nothing in the meantime. Keeping in mind, this is for those that are looking to get the most out of Trial and Error without auto-brewing. For many, auto-crafting is just going to be the better option considering the saved time it provides.

In any case, this is what I put together last time I was investing time into KC:D. Hope its of use to some folks out there. To make these recipes, as a basic guideline, you could simply remove all heating steps from my first guide. This is simply to have a separate page of recipes that are easy to reference. Like last time, if anyone finds a problem with a recipe, let me know and I'll update it (eventually).

    Trial and Error Guide

This is an optimization guide for Trial and Error. Trial and Error, while a convenience for making mistakes for a beginner, actually makes it so recipes are heatless. Intentionally writing a recipe where the only mistake is never heating the brew, leaves you with these x3 efficiency recipes.

The Nighthawk potion is sometimes a pretty nice filter for screenshots.

Do the minor objectives in Siege do anything or is it just pointless filler?

    Posted: 20 Jan 2021 05:20 AM PST

Like the gather 60 cockerel potions, get meat and ale for the soldiers etc. Do they affect the outcome of the quest or anything?

Visually, what's your favorite suit of armor / armor pieces?

    Posted: 20 Jan 2021 08:10 AM PST

Ignoring any stats, what suit or armor or armor pieces is your favorite? If you can, include a screen shot of the armor.

No more sweet cakes at the Millers!

    Posted: 20 Jan 2021 02:57 AM PST

I just got past the point where you encounter runt for the first time, and after ending up at the Millers I distinctly remember there being a stack of sweet cakes on the nightstand next to the bed, but now it's just bread rolls....am I crazy, or did there used to be sweet cakes?

    Epilogue first or dlc?

    Posted: 19 Jan 2021 09:29 PM PST

I read on this sub a while ago that it is recommended to do the dlc prior to the Epilogue quest. Is there a reason for this? Also, which of the dlc should I do first?

Perfect ad placement on r/kingdomcome - if only Henry had Huel he wouldn't be so 'ungry

    Posted: 20 Jan 2021 04:54 AM PST

I'm downloading this game at the moment, got some questions!

    Posted: 19 Jan 2021 11:50 AM PST

How good is it compared to... let's say Skyrim / Fallout / The Witcher games? How long is it? Should I expect to beat it in a few hours? Is it linear or are there interesting side quests? Are there decisions to make? Kinda like Witcher 3?

What about the modding community? Are there any essential mods? I just bought the Royal Edition, are the dlc's good?

    Thanks and sorry! :)

Anyone else feels like they're holding the entire country together?

    Posted: 19 Jan 2021 11:40 AM PST

Henry's like a glorified errand boy. Destroy that camp, help that person, buy all the supplies, pay for an entire town with your own pocket, etc. Like damn, how did they function without Henry beforehand?

Is the parry reaction not all that solid...?

    Posted: 19 Jan 2021 07:46 PM PST

Training with Bernard right now for the first time, so my stats are pretty low. But I've noticed that my parry response doesn't always seem to register despite me definitely hitting the button when the reticule flashes green. It only seems to work every time when I wait for the actual character wind up and ignore the reticule indicator. Is this possibly a controller error or something (on PS4)? Or am I just trash? Or is this something that becomes more accurate as I raise my skill?
