    Henry, where is mutt?

My personal request for KCDII: I would love a game set during winter. Dangerous blizzards, surviving in cold + hypothermia mechanics where you keep track of Henry’s warmth, frostbite, needing a campfire at night to stay alive, etc.

True Hardcore Permadeath mode, anyone in?

    Posted: 22 Jan 2021 06:07 AM PST

Hardcore permadeath is too easy, you can just train for some hours at Bernard, then poach in Rattay woods until you have the best horse and plate armor, then you're basically invincible. I suggest a new mode called True Hardcore Permadeath mode with extra limitations:

    1. No equipping metal armor
    2. Can't carry dagger, can only poison pots with moonshine, no weapon poison
    3. No training at Bernard except for master strikes and quests
    4. No horse archery, sprinting archery limited to 3 shots per engagement
    5. No illegal activities unless needed for non-Millers quest
    6. Must take all negative perks except brittle bones
    7. Obviously delete save file if you die, and save scumming is forbidden

This will make every engagement a life or death situation. Want to risk your life killing 5 bandits for 300 coins? Maybe you have to do it to buy food due to the tape worm perk? This is how Kingdom Come Deliverance is meant to be played. Anyone in? I will start a play through now.

What should I know before trying KCD? (PC)

    Posted: 22 Jan 2021 08:32 AM PST

Is it playable on a gtx 970? (Cpu: 5600x, 32gb ram)

Are there mods? What mods are must have? I heard about the saving nonsense. I'd prefer being able to save anytime, wherever.

Kingdom Come Deliverance is one of the best games I’ve played that I can’t recommend.

    Posted: 21 Jan 2021 05:22 PM PST

(This is my review of KCD, looking to have discussion with you guys on my comments)

I'm playing the game on PS4 and I'm close to completion. Purchased the Royal Edition on sale and I have been quite satisfied with my purchase including all the DLC.

This game requires a lot of patience. It's a game set in realism. Things that would take a few seconds in another RPG take much more time. And I Mean Time in Real Life.

Not to mention that the game is very poorly optimised for the PlayStation 4, with loading screens being extremely invasive. Loading from the Main Menu takes about 4min, 10 sec load screen to enter dialogue with characters, 10 sec load screen to open map etc.

This poor optimisation has made the game more tedious to say the least. Lock-picking is a nightmare on controller too. With a lot of practice it eventually clicks. But since this is their first game and this is quite clearly a game made for PC I'll give Warhorse a pass.

Now getting to the game, to put it in laymen's terms it's a Bethesda RPG with Extra Steps and more meaningful player choice. The story takes a while to get going but when the pace picks up it's very engaging. The story is taken seriously but you will have fun with the game as the tone is quite light hearted. Henry is an interesting character and it's interesting to see his growth. The cast that surround him aren't don't slouch either.

This is definitely one of the most believable game worlds you can play in. The world is harsh and brutal. Combat is a touchy one. In my humble opinion this is probably one of the worst combat systems in an 3D Open World RPG. While they make a noble effort to capture realism. Instead the jankiness and video game cheese are put in the forefront.

When fighting multiple opponents the combat system completely fall apart. You can't keep track of your targets and can be finished in seconds. While the 1v1 combat is better either you opponent is a parry god that you can never hit. Or a country bumpkin with no armour that goes down in 4 shots. Unfortunately the combat in Kingdom Come fails to be fun.

Despite all of this I'm having a lot of fun with the game. There is a huge amount of content here, I've been playing for about 100 hours and I still have a lot of content to finish. I'm having a good time with the game but I cannot easily recommend this title to anyone. The requires a huge amount of patience from the player to learn the world and to properly interact with its systems.

If you do ever pick up Kingdom Come ensure that you have played a few RPG games before. Even as an RPG veteran this game took a lot out of me. This game takes the RPG experience to the next level. You have to think when playing this game. If you are someone who's tired of playing games that hold your hand throughout the entire experience this is the game for you.

    8/10

    Is the combat glitched?

    Posted: 22 Jan 2021 12:41 AM PST

Bro I can't hit captain Bernard at all. He wants me to practice to prove I'm ready for master strikes but he blocks everything... I can't touch him with anything. He counter attacked everything before when I fought him.every enemy does. If they don't stumble and give free kills the they parry and counter attack everything... No in between at all... No way to even touch someone slightly if I can't otherwise kill them effortlessly... Literally it's either that they immedietly fall over after after a block and let me kill them or they are invincible and counter attack everything, causing me to simply hurt myself essentially with each attack I swing.... EVEN VS BERNARD EARLY IN THE GAME. I DIDNT EVEN FIND REEKY YET IN THE STORY.

What’s the best way to train mace?

    Posted: 21 Jan 2021 07:32 PM PST

    First playthrough.

When I started, I trained sword up to 8 before finding out that the mace js a much better option for an op build. But Bernard is beating the absolute shit out of me even with practice weapons because mace is, well, op. And Bernard is OP. My mace skill is currently at 2 and it's super difficult to raise it because Bernard keeps busting my skull open lol.

Should I just start progressing in the story?

Murdered everyone in the monastery and a lot in Sasau

    Posted: 21 Jan 2021 09:08 PM PST

What the title says, now I'm wanted in Sasau, and can't complete my mission. I've already gone to jail, in both Sasau and Rattay, but they are still after me, even after I was released. What can I do, to get this to go away? I assumed after I went to jail, it would be over.

    Hi guys.
I have a 3060ti and a R5 3600 and my fps is pretty bad at some points dropping as low as 40.
Are there any tips on getting a stable 60 fps? Or is this to be expected with this setup?

How do I save Antoniams husband? I can’t KO him, it give an option but I can’t activate the action.

    Posted: 21 Jan 2021 11:46 PM PST

My alchemy is level 10 if that's relevant.

UPDATE:: FIGURED IT OUT. So basically a day after you've hired them into their new spot specifically Antonia, you will have a new dialogue option to ask her how she's doing, she'll tell you that her husband isn't improving. This is when you're given an option to say that you "know a thing or 2 hour medicine", after this you can also give Antonia the Bucksblood. If your first aid is high enough you can go to the her husband, who is located just next to the staircase at the lower entrance of Rattay-where the refugees sleep, and diagnose him. After that, it gives you an option to give him Lazarus.

I RECOMMEND YOU HAVE READILY ON YOU:: Lazarus//Bucksblood//Bijov Rage

I don't recommend you steal them, that vagabond wanted me to steal for him & he ended up on the block. I didn't want to give Antonia a stolen item & possibly have her end in the same fate.

Where can I buy the best stuff?

    Posted: 21 Jan 2021 11:46 AM PST

Recently discovered merchant chests and long story short i have a ton of money now. What towns have the best shops for buying really nice stuff? Bonus if the gear is black or a dark color for the stealth factor. Have tried Rattay and Sasau already.

Jesus Christ be praised I have two questions Is there mod adding favorite items or outfits changer? And there's mod removing helmet disappearing when off combat and vice-versa when on combat?
