    FUCK Black Pete

    Posted: 06 Oct 2020 09:17 AM PDT

Alright so I complete the the quest A bird in the hand, minding my own business fast travelling back to rattay to turn it in. Where i get stopped by a foe, I'm thinking oh it's probably just some pesky bandits with clubs nothing I can't handle. BUT, this sore loser black peter pulls up bitching about 'how dare you take my prize' or something along those lines. After a 5 minute duel I come out the victor taken a few injuries nothing too serious. Then i realise that i've been poisoned. Thought I was gonna be fine since my health was well above 75%. Kept slowly going down, drank a marigold potion, didn't do anything. Like literally nothing, my health was still going down. Drank a Lazarus potion and suprise suprise, that didnt do anything either. So i resorted to drinking fine wine. Helped a little but at this point i was stuffed, couldn't drink anymore of it. Quickly ran to the bath house near the mill, but it was night time. Still tried to talk to the bath maid but all they wanted to fucking talk about was rattay. So I just sat on the bench and awaited my fate. Probably one of the dumbest ways i've died in this game.

    First Outnumbered Victory!

    Posted: 06 Oct 2020 05:42 AM PDT

Yesterday was my first outnumbered victory, four bandits, and a dog. I saw the roadblock and decided to have a go (immediate savior schnapps) instead of just avoiding it. I tried numerous times coming at them (stealth at first) with my bow and then longsword. I died at least five times and then decided to go around and try from the other side of the roadway, approaching from a different direction. I used the same strategy but this time I had a clearer shot with my bow and killed one bandit immediately. The dog got to me first and I managed to take it down. Then I just worked very hard at keeping the other three in front of me while blocking and damaging. It was SO rewarding to be the last one standing!!! I actually was not too badly damaged either. This game can be so awesome at times!

Hello im starting a game on friday on hardcore any tips?

    Posted: 06 Oct 2020 09:29 AM PDT

Does anyone else feel like it's too easy to make gold/grochen in this game or is it just me?

    Posted: 06 Oct 2020 03:56 AM PDT

I don't know if it's just the ancient map dlc where you find loot all across the map or the fact that some bandits/cumans drop ridiculous loot. So the ancient maps give some pretty good armor if you go looking for the them near the start of the game, plus the gold that are in the loot. Also, when i killed a cuman the other night, he dropped 1.6k better hunting arrows and that was from 1 person. Sold it for about 1k grochen. I'd like to ask does hardcore mode solve this problem? Thinking of doing a playthrough of hardcore mode.

Really wish there were weekly routines

    Posted: 06 Oct 2020 02:52 AM PDT

And many other things, the more you stop and smell the roses in this game which I do, the more you notice the small but important things missing like how no one is ever in church. And there is no day of the week and watching people play dice doesn't actually work it's just an animation. Small things but I really hope KCD 2 improves these things.

But I do love this game it has been improved exponentially compared to release.

Do they take less durability from repair kits?

From blacksmiths son to the greatest swordsman Bohemia has ever seen. Hal the Invincible they called him..

    Posted: 05 Oct 2020 03:28 PM PDT

I'm not sure how far I am in the main story. The last main quest I did was the undercover monastery asasination. Now I'm currently at level 16 and after completing the band of bastards quest, I'm certain my Hal is invincible at this point and the greatest swordsman these lands have will ever see.

Because not only was Sir Hagen Zoul meant to be a great fighter that Radzig was certain he'd lose to in single combat. But he couldn't even lay a glove on me. And after I executed him on his knees for the massacre, rape and pillaging he ordered. I then took on seven (7!) of his heavily armoured men and cut them down systematically. Without losing a single bit of health..

Obviously the main reason for this is Master Strikes. Which once I learned the timing, trivialised any opponent or engagement regardless of numbers. They probably should have made this ability have a cool down down or something.

Is the game now just gonna be like this till the end?

Will there even be any serious challenges left (without spoilers)?

Is the other difficulty that's recommended for people experienced at this game a big enough step up?

Also does anyone in this game ever comment or recognise just how utterly superior a fighter Hal has become compared to every other Tom, Dick & Harry in this land?

    PS4 Lockpicking - Yeah, I know...

    Posted: 05 Oct 2020 03:05 PM PDT

I've read plenty a post but they are all from 2018; nothing really recent. I began playing about a week ago, just to give you an approximate timeline without going into mission spoilers, (Miller). I currently cannot pick the easiest locks. What I am taking from these past posts is practice on easy chests whenever possible. Continue to fail while your skill rises despite the fails. Eventually, you unlock skills that will allow you to unlock chests even if you previously could not open one. Does this sound about right? Of course, I might be finishing the game by the time I get the required skills...lol. Loving the game and PS had it on sale for about $18.00 so I am already a happy camper.
