Any Fellow Catholics Pleased With the Game's Portrayal of the Church?

    Posted: 13 Aug 2020 10:56 PM PDT

I am a practicing Catholic. I have played this game 2 times, and I must say the game takes a no nonsense historically accurate approach to The Church which plays a major role in the game. They didn't over exaggerated or underplay the corruption. This game shows the church in one of the most shaky and corrupt periods in its history and takes an honest approach to portraying it, also showing that there were some genuinely good and pious (no pun intended) people in the Church. They do all this without insulting the Catholic faith. At least that's how I perceived it, a job well done.

    HARDCORE HENRY PLAYTHROUGH

    Posted: 14 Aug 2020 09:50 AM PDT

    Hey,

I'm close to finishing KCD on normal difficulty and I just can't get enough of it, it's eaten my life outside of work for the past 3 weeks. I've been planning on making a new playthrough on hardcore mode and maybe with some additional mods (I only have two, as of the moment, optimized graphics and dynamic hoods)

Any tips or stories you guys have during your hardcore playthrough?

"Is something happening around here?" option in taverns

Does it do anything? He always tell me "Thank god nothing much" or something like that but that option is still there. What is the purpose of that?

Failed a Rock in a Hard place

    Posted: 14 Aug 2020 09:26 AM PDT

I didn't realize there was a time limit and failed the quest, as I was doing a womans lot. Is there anyway I can reattempt it or do I have to go to a previous save?

Is there a good quest walkthrough that includes important things not to miss like the first lockpicks in skallitz? and who to avoid killing?

    Posted: 14 Aug 2020 09:19 AM PDT

I can't help but optimize games as I tend to play MMO rather than RPG and instead of checking every house and corpse in a burnt out village I'm looking for a sanity checklist of "there's nothing useful apart from a chest to lockpick in house x" or "bring a bow to shoot a birds nest" otherwise i'm going to be like 1000 hours! :-) anyone know of such a guide?

    From the Ashes - Failed?

    Posted: 14 Aug 2020 07:13 AM PDT

I love this game. Played it on gamespass and then decided to buy it + all the DLC. I started From the Ashes but didn't have enough disposable cash to pump into the town. I carried on with the main quest line, only to get a 'Mission Failed' notification. I had no idea this would be a timed quest and now I have DLC I paid for but I can't even play?

My last save before this issue was also around 30 hours back. I thought I'd just chat to Divish and he'd let me have another go, but nope. Mission failed.

The items and money you collect during the "womens lot" is meaningless, doesnt store anywhere

    Posted: 14 Aug 2020 07:11 AM PDT

I spent a good amount of time colecting items and money while playing as teresa and escaping the cumans, i collected over 2k groshen and a lot of high value items while killing cumans. I expected the items to be transfered to henry or at least be deposited in theresa's chest at the rattay mill when i can steal them from, but nope, looks like the items are gone.

also i managed to get main level 5 one theresa and when i got back to harry i was back at lvl 3. while this is realistic, i expected the levels to mach, sort of like in nier automata

I started playing a week ago. I'm hooked and I don't understand how this game flew under my radar for so long!

    Posted: 13 Aug 2020 10:25 AM PDT

HOW HAVE I NEVER HEARD OF THIS GAME BEFORE?!?!

Man... I bought the Xbox game pass on PC a few months ago, and downloaded this cause I was tryna see different games on Ultra Settings with my new rig... Figured I'd do the tutorial to explore the open world, and I still feel in tutorial land. Not in a bad way, more like I'm constantly learning new things and new skills and new ways to do things.

I am no medieval nerd. I'm a CS:Go and Call of duty player. I'm a first person, competitive shooter player. I do play adventure games, hyper casually when I don't feel like facing the SBMM in CoD or the Toxicity of csgo.

Bros what the fuck is this gem?! Like, I drank the entire night with a priest, fucked up the guards trying to throw us out of the tavern, had sex with two girls from the tavern and gave an anti-church speech hungover in a church. Bros, I'm amazed! Villagers have actual jobs, they sleep at night and work during the day. The entire world is interactive and interesting, each town has its own character, the world is believable, I actually feel remorseful when I kill people, like a piece of shit if I loot dead bodies.

Man, I'm thrilled to see more of what this game has to offer! I'm still having a rough time with combat, I can handle 1v1s but 2v1s even against low level opponent is brutal. I never make it out alive.

Would it be worth getting "rise from the ashes" & "Treasures of the past" DLC's?

    Posted: 14 Aug 2020 04:27 AM PDT

I can get one for £3.20 & the other for £5

Would that be worth the money?

A combo for the next game

    Posted: 13 Aug 2020 03:43 PM PDT

    Tips on the combat.

    Posted: 14 Aug 2020 02:51 AM PDT

Only like 20 hours into the game and i have few questions. How do you prevent getting locked down by 1 person while their mate just destroys me. How do you block if you get hit by a combo. Sometimes the NPC would just get one hit and keep hitting me and theres nothing i can do about it.

The game is being removed August 14 which for me is tomorrow, just wanted to give everyone a heads up if they didn't hear about it.

Why aren’t Matthew and fritz going to pribyslavitz?

    Posted: 13 Aug 2020 02:34 PM PDT

I tried following them there but they scope out the talmberg quarry instead. I stole the money before they transported it and I asked them to come to pribyslavitz and they just scope out the quarry.
