FYI: Theresa's actions count towards Henry's stats (A Woman's Lot)

    Posted: 07 May 2020 06:03 AM PDT

I was trying to find an answer if corpses looted by Thersa would count in Henry's stat page with Google/Reddit seearches but came up empty.

I just finished the DLC and just want to put the info out incase anyone else wonders in the future.

I always told myself that I wouldn't be that guy who lost all his progress because he forgot to save...

    Posted: 07 May 2020 06:59 AM PDT

I amassed 4.8k gold, found two treasures, killed some cumans, ended a group of bandits, bought Al-Buraq - then fast traveled and immediately was ambushed and killed by a group. 2.5 hours gone.

Time to share our worst "lost save" stories...GO!

Dirt poor bandits wasting Henry's time.

    Posted: 07 May 2020 06:12 AM PDT

What are some cool/realistic details you've noticed in the game?

    Posted: 07 May 2020 01:39 AM PDT

One thing I just noticed is that if you drop stuff, guards or people will come pick them up. I dropped a bunch of heavy loot I stole and noticed a guard cleaning up and talking about it which was pretty cool.

There is cooking pot on every lodging

    Posted: 07 May 2020 07:42 AM PDT

So I googled a while back about where is the cooking pot in Uzhitz and cannot find any information. Then I realise that in everyplace that you can pay to sleep, there is cooking pot inside the building.

    Hopefully that helps someone

Any noticeable difference between 1080p and 1440p?

    Posted: 07 May 2020 06:55 AM PDT

Hello all, about a year ago using a different account (magicchriswins), I told you all how amazing this game was and how it helped distract me from life's problems. It was a gift card from my parents and I bought this for ps4. Now, my life has drastically improved, even amidst this crazy pandemic. I'm actually working more and I'm very grateful for it. I was able to save up and get myself a decent rig, running an rtx 2060, i7-9700f, 1tb NVMe ssd. I'm proud of it. My question is, have you seen a noticeable difference between 1080p and 1440p? I can run it at very high most times and still hit 50 - 70 fps at 1440 (not rattay, lol), and dropping it to 1080 greatly improves performance, but barely see a difference in graphics quality. Is it the same for you? Any other advice on how to get better fps in the towns? Thank you for reading this and I hope you all stay safe!

Well, after two years I've come back, started on HC first off, and its such a blast, but I must say... I think the AI is evolving now to have lookouts inside houses.

Bandits in From the Ashes DLC

    Posted: 07 May 2020 10:23 AM PDT

I got the DLC Quest from Sir Diwish and headed over to Prybislawitz where the bandits are i need to fight. But i just cant fight 5 bandits alone and they won't take my money because i did not have enough when i first met them. Now they will always attack me and i cant even talk to them.

Is there any solution where i dont need to fight 5 people alone? It just seems impossible.

Musings on a sequel narrative [maybe spoilers]

    Posted: 07 May 2020 01:01 AM PDT

I just wanted to share thoughts about how the narrative might unfold in a sequel.

Personally, I can't envision it being a 'direct' sequel with the player controlling Henry as he goes off on another adventure. You're already OP by the end of the KCD, so unless they get ambushed, everything stolen, Henry bonked on the head and forgot all his progression from last game, I don't see a way to make a fun RPG with a progressing character. That's my favorite aspect, the grind with Henry from beginning to end.

I see it more feasible to have a completely new character, also coming from peasant origins/ability, to be inserted into the overall Sigismund/Cumin storyline. Think of it like KOTOR and its sequel. You come across characters from the prior RPG and are involved in their questlines sometimes, but you as the new character must progress the same way the prior POV character did. It'd also give a new perspective and angle on the situation. Maybe Henry's drive for revenge puts your new character in conflict with him. Maybe the Sigismund/Wenceslas dynamic is not so black and white. It could even be indirect and the choices you make could heighten or lower the tension with it culminating in a dilemma choice. Or to help him and his crew like how Henry was helping Radzig n Co. Whatever is done would open up a lot of grey area to explore.

Additionally, the aspect of the connection between the POV character and the tiny sliver of Bohemia they inhabit was an element that made Henry's story so endearing. This was his backyard, his home, his world. To now be a POV Henry entering somebody else's sliver of Bohemia, would just feel 'wrong'. It's almost like appropriation or something. I'd rather have a new POV character connected to the new slice of map in the same way Henry was.

This could lead to more flexibility with the time angle, too. Then it could be in a slightly later period with more interesting events going on. Where later on Radzig is an old man like Divish, Henry and Capon are established nobles who've had their adventure but it's left things unresolved still with Sigismund and co, and now a new young buck is ready for his own adventure. Heck, maybe the new character befriends the heir to Talmberg who's out on his own noble wanderings (Henry's bastard son?).

As far as the end of KCD fitting in and answering the question of what Henry and Capon did after they rode off. Perhaps some gameplay could be added where player can control an OP Henry or Capon, similar to how DLC let you play a shorter storyline of another character. This could work regardless of the time element. If it's occurring right after KCD and happening alongside a new POV's quest it could be like the Capon DLC. If it's on a later timeline it could be where Henry/Capon is 'telling' his past to the new POV as a flashback like Theresa's Skalitz story.

I'd love to hear the sub's thoughts on this. I was just sparked by the video here with speculation about possible sequels.

Sir Divish not appearing at the Talmberg Horce Race

    Posted: 07 May 2020 08:58 AM PDT

Hi everyone! I'm having an issue with Sir Divish not appearing to start the Talmberg Horce Race. Just a quick walkthrough on how I got there. (I play on PC with the latest Steam version)

    • Talk to Zora and get the quest around 4 pm
    • Immediately mount the grey dapple and ride to Talmberg (no fast travel)
    • Deliver the horse to the Talmberg stables
    • Talk to Sir Divish who is standing in the main room on the first floor next to the chamberlain's room
    • Talk to the stableboy to start the horse race
    • Take Zora's horse and wait until 11 am the next day at the checkpoint (all riders present, 2 soldiers present)
    • Wait a bit longer until right before 12 pm (all riders present, 4 soldiers present)
    • NO SIR DIVISH

At this point Sir Divish should have arrived but I found him just chilling in the main room where I talked to him the day before. Even teleporting him to the race starting point doesn't activate his dialogue to start his race. Even if continue just waiting at the starting point past 12 pm he doesn't appear. When I go talk to him after 1 pm he even has the audacity to say that I didn't show up.

    So, what's going on?!

    Captain Bernard Vs Sir Robard

    Posted: 07 May 2020 08:29 AM PDT

    Do appearances matter?

    Posted: 07 May 2020 07:45 AM PDT

Started playing last week, and absolutely loving it! The detail and immersion is excellent.

My little issue is that, after spending quite some time scouting a particular camp, and leading one of their guards away to "borrow" his attire, they don't care one bit that I'm completely dressed in their uniform. I walked into camp thinking I'd be able to do some real espionage, but got attacked on sight.

Likewise, after solving this problem a different way, I kept the Cuman armor in its entirety and wore it back to Talmberg and Rattay, and nobody cares.

Am I missing something? Shouldn't their armor at least get me into the gate at the camp?

What's the best way to increase my strength?

    Posted: 06 May 2020 11:36 PM PDT

Can I just fight with Bernard every day? I wanted to practice on bandits but the ones in armor are still a bit hard for me and i have no idea how to use the mace. 🙁

What were the Cuman Armor from Matthew and Fritz quest for?

    Posted: 07 May 2020 06:30 AM PDT

For the quarry robbery mission? Because I stole the money from Talmberg without a fight maybe it never came into use?
