New to Kingdom Come. Is it a slower than average pace story wise?

    Posted: 16 Feb 2020 07:08 AM PST

I've been reading these official reviews but I'd like to get some seasoned Kingdom Come player opinions. I'd love a new RPG to get into..

    Thoughts on the next KCD

    Posted: 16 Feb 2020 03:53 AM PST

So I am a massive fan of KCD, I grew up playing the eldar scrolls and Skyrim so this was appealing and I will never go back to eldar scrolls now. KCD has steam rolled it. There are a few changes and additions I'd like to see in the new one though.

No named character. I loved starting out as a weak underdog and being out classes by pretty much everyone in everything and developing to an established fighter. That said, I want to make my own character in the next game. I want to be able to create the appearance, perhaps customise the genetics so I can tailor him as a fighter or archer or their ect.

I would also like to see a less linear quest line, perhaps lots of smaller quest lines like being able to join bandits siege small villages ect. Give us options to be something other than the knight in shining armour.

Settlement building and management. I know we get that dlc but it's a little linear again. Perhaps there is a quest where you help a lord battle a bandit issue which results in you being rewarded with a small farm. You'll have peasants come and work for you as you slowly expand. You can buy stables and breed horses and raise a small militia to defend against bandit raids all while having to pay taxes to said lord. I think this would add so much replayability to the game, even if you can place the buildings and fences ect like we saw in fallout 4.

    What do you guys think?

I can not loot dead bodies, what am I missing?

    Posted: 16 Feb 2020 10:12 AM PST

Hello I recently started with the game and in the beginning, where you go back to your village, there are corpses on the ground and a bandit attacked me. I killed him but when I get the promt „e" to loot, absolutely nothing happens. I can pick up the body though. What is going on, can anybody help?

    Thank you

    Object vegetation distance sliders?

    Posted: 16 Feb 2020 09:53 AM PST

Whats the difference between the sliders and vegetation and object detail because it says for example vegetation detail determines the distance but what does the slider do then? It makes no sense

    Making money?

    Posted: 16 Feb 2020 09:43 AM PST

So I have the from the ashes DLC and I really want to build the town but I have trouble making money. I'm not looking for a get rich quick fix. I'm just trying to find a legitimate way to make money on the game to build it up

Any way to unlock full Ansel functionality?

    Posted: 16 Feb 2020 09:26 AM PST

So I noticed that since I reinstalled the game, Ansel received some significant limitations. You can only move to a certain distance from Henry, you can no longer activate it during dialogues and cutscenes, etc.

Now, The Witcher 3 also received these limitations in a previous patch, but there is an executable floating around that bypasses these restrictions, and allow unlimited use of Ansel.

IIRC there was some kind of a workaround for this in Hitman 2 as well.

Is there anything similar for KCD?

    Monastery election, and also Custodian.

    Posted: 16 Feb 2020 07:53 AM PST

When questioned, all novices say that Antonious is mixed up in the election - which is clearly a plot hook, but all Antonius ever says is "Don't get mixed up in it". Is there something I'm missing?
Also, having done Woman's Lot, I have suddenly found out - during the trial - that Johanka and the Custodian had an affair. Apparently, there was a way to know it beforehand. I knew that Custodian was creeping on her, but that's all. How do you find out about it?

    A Needle in a Haystack

I've just finished this quest for the first time and really enjoyed it. I'd be interested to hear other people's thoughts on it because it's sure to be an opinion divider - so are you a lover or a hater?

    Need some advise for fighting

    Posted: 16 Feb 2020 02:57 AM PST

    Hi,

I mainly play longsword and I have 16-17 streangth now (mid-story: just found the counterfeiters).

I think I don't understand the combatsystem. All I do is pressing [Q] to parry when the enemy attacks me.

When I try to attack the enemy without the parry he either blocks all my attacks untill I run out of stamina or he parrys me.

Is this how the combat is supposed to work or am I doing something wrong?
