There's no defense against this technique if it's executed well.

You can spoil yourself of the camp location before finding it

Spoiler: When looking for Timmy at the Mill, if you lure off the bandits except one and steal something from him, it will say "stolen in: pribyslavitz". I guess it's carved onto that bow with a "made in" tag. If Henry could read he wouldn't have to go searching in the woods...

    KCD performance question.

    Posted: 13 Dec 2019 02:00 AM PST

Hi everybody. I recently acquired the title through pc xbox pass and was deeply hooked on the game. The problem is that I have pretty old rig, which however was getting job done for me this far. Specs are i72600k@4.5, 16gb ram, 1080 gtx, ssd evo 860. I play in fhd, probably this is the reason i was able to play most of the games on ultra settings until now. With KCD though, i get very unstable fps even on high, i have drops to 10-12 fps during the game, mostly in cities. Outside it is better, but still have drops to 25-30 fps from time to time. Can it be that steam version preforms better than this one? I ask because I was looking through internet and saw people get better fps on better settings with same rigs. All of the results are for steam version though, this is why i ask if someone had a chance to compare performance between two versions.

How far into main story am I?

    Posted: 12 Dec 2019 11:00 PM PST

I've got 50 hours on my first playthrough which is hardcore. So far I've mostly focused on exploring and doing side quests. I'm about to attack Runt's camp, how far am I into the main story?

Edit: Less than halfway? Wow, there truly is so much worth doing in this game. I love it.

    Need some ideas

    Posted: 12 Dec 2019 06:45 PM PST

So I love this game and want to go through a second play through, so i was curious as to how other people had played through the game. E.g an archer, a stealth build etc. What should I play through next? Cheers

A quick question for experienced players

    Posted: 12 Dec 2019 05:33 PM PST

I got the game on Friday, I haven't done many main quests but after messing around a lot now I'm lvl12.

The last 3 bandit encounters I've had were against 2-3 bandits and each were clad in some plate armor. Is this normal, and do the enemies "level up" with the player in this game?

prior to this I had never encountered plate armor before, only once I encountered brigantine/mail.

    thanks for the answers!

    Martin's Sword is Trash

    Posted: 12 Dec 2019 01:05 PM PST

I never understood why they did this. They clearly gave you a longsword in the beginning so that you wouldn't struggle with combat too much in the prologue, but why does it have such trash durability? Why is it so heavy (yet no strength requirement)? Did anyone else notice that it's only worth like 120? Why not just have it do 55/55/3 damage, have 75 durability, and 3 weight? It wouldn't make it OP in the beginning, and it would make Martin look like a master swordsmith, which everyone says he is. For God's sake, Saving Grace, the longsword for nobles "fallen on hard times" has better stats and is actually valued higher. Imagine if you were Radzig, ordered a custom sword from your master swordsmith, and he made you something worse than what poor nobles buy as a last resort.
