    This woodland garden North of Merhojrd has 837 Mint, 188 Comfrey, and 64 Belladonna all within a few feet of each other, just need to deal with 3 bandits nearby.

    I'm pretty much still in the beginning of the story. Somewhere during the quest "My friend Timmy" a bug occurred that I've had several times before: I cannot talk to any npc except merchants. I'll only have the pickpocket option. And no, it's not like it's supposed to be like this.

    I've read about 10 threads here and on the official forum about this without a fix or solution.

    It doesn't seem to be linked to this quest as I've encountered it before. I suppose it has something to do with fights not being properly finished in the game mechanic because the first time this happened I attacked someone and then ran away. Nothing happened. No guards no fine. Next time it happened I had a mugger on the road while fast travelling. The crossed swords and fighting symbol appeared but no one attacked. After a couple of minutes of running the symbol disappeared.

    I "fixed" this by reloading an earlier save.

    Right now I can't say why this happened. And the really strange thing is this bug seems to have corrupted other saves as well. I mean usually one can guess how a bug will work. Now, this really worries me because I love this game that I just started.

    What did I try so far?

    • Reinstall

    • Start new game

    • sleep for 12 hours

    • wait a day

    • anything that causes a loading screen

    • getting arrested and doing my time / paying the fine

    • getting killed

    • move on with a quest

    Needles to say nothing worked. What really worries me is that my new game had the same bug. Fortunately the bug doesn't affect quest givers so far (however I haven't progressed in the game during my little free time because I reinstalled/ tried fixing it...). However, in an immersive game like KCD I really want to talk to folk occasionally as there are some unique / interesting dialogue options.

    I've reached out to customer service but the automated message says it's gonna take a while.

    Of course the game has the latest patch. I'm playing from my PS4 disc royal edition if this matters.

    This evening when I have some time to play I'm gonna load my last uncorrupted save and try to progress with as little bs as possible. Maybe it is linked to my quest current quest line (serpents nest). Unfortunately when scouting for this bandit hideout I took down about 10 cumans and bandits and got some excellent loot.

    Advise on DIY painting shields

    I'm currently thinking of buying a wooden round shield, and plan to paint it like one of the shields in the game. Does anyone know if there is anything out there that you can print out, so you have an easier job painting the shield? Thanks in advance.

    So basically I want to play kcd with some rules. But I don't know what rules. So I hoped someone here could help me make a guide or rulebook for a rp character. I don't really know what to call it since I have never done this before.

    I can't find any data on how stats formulas regarding clothing (charisma, ...)

    I can't quite get to understand how charisma (and other stats) work.

    I understand the following:

    Your total charisma is the average of the charisma points all your clothes has.

    There are some key body parts that have to be covered and if not they give you 0 points, thus lowering your average.

    Any help? I can't find info online.

    Raising Rattay Citizen Rep?

    Anyone know if there's a good way to raise ratty citizen rep? I'm at 18 currently (a lot of failed pickpockets), which is more annoying than anything, but I'd like to raise it. I've already done all the Ruin quests, will going back to the bandit camps and killing them again do anything?

    (I found another thread on this from three years ago, but I was wondering if anyone had figured out anything in the meantime)

    This game keeps fucking me in the ass.

    I was playing the game, spent around 20 minutes knocking out way too many guards while taking their loot. I Left the castle and headed to the tavern so I could save (I was out of savoir schnapps), I ended up getting confused on where it was so I checked my map, the game crashed and I got set 20 minutes back and this isn't even the first time something like this happened. This damn game keeps wasting my time and patience as it keeps crashing. I'm currently playing on a new PS4 and this shit keeps happening and tbh I wouldn't mind if the goddamn save system wasn't so "rough n' tough".

    Who in their right mind thought that this type of save system was good with a game that keeps crashing while fucking you up hard, and while I'm ranting about the fucking save system, who thought the goddamn lock picking system was good? Its not console friendly (It feels really shitty on controller) and the "simple" system doesn't really help at' fucking all. This games been out for so long and instead of actually polishing some major features in the game just a bit fucking more, THEY ADD DLC, are ya shitting me?

    I know the games not getting updates anymore but here's some stuff that I wish was fixed or changed just so I won't have to experience hard anal when playing this game that I lowkey love so far.

    (1) The way stealth kills work (Why does everyone wake up when I stealth kill one guy) (2) the camera in combat (This shit explains itself) (3) lock picking (It's fucking shit and not console friendly) (4) maybe a option to just change the save system (like pls)
