Game kinda overuses the "Objective Failed" notification Posted: 06 Jan 2021 06:53 AM PST I doubt I'm alone in the feeling that being informed "Objective Failed" gives the appearance that I've done something wrong. I posted a couple days ago that I received that notice when passing on the Rattay tourney for the first time, and I was correctly assured that everything would be fine, and the quest would simply respawn again in a few days (no worries on that, it did). So yesterday I was doing the Tricks of the Trade quest. I visited the blacksmith, talked to his wife, got a new objective to tell the quest-giver about the rhyme, talked to the blacksmith, passed a speech check to learn about how he was doing his work, and got a big fat red X objective failed notice. Now, given the total context, I was pretty sure that that simply meant I was taking an alternate path through the quest, but it's very unsettling. I didn't know whether the game was telling me that I was "supposed" to return to the quest-giver prior to doing the speech check with the blacksmith, whether I'd get a better reward that way, or what. I looked it up on the Wiki as a result. While I'm on the topic, I wish in general that there was one more layer added in terms of ways to approach different quests. The Tricks of the Trade quest, for example, there shouldn't be different full paths to the quest, rather I should be able to return to the quest-giver with ALL the information. But more important than that, I've been offered at least two quests at this point where someone tells me that something was stolen from him and they'd like me to steal it back (vagabond in Rattay, prostitute outside an inn). For each of those offers, I'd like an option to investigate the matter. I'm simply not gonna steal something from someone because someone else tells me that I'd be stealing back stolen property. In real life, if someone pleaded with me that my neighbor stole something, so will I please steal it back, I would "accept the quest," and then investigate the matter. I unfortunately don't ever receive that option in KCD., [link] [comments]

Posted: 06 Jan 2021 09:58 AM PST I initially played kcd before any of the dlc were released. Playing through the game again with Mutt by my side is so much fun. Facing an enemy that master strikes you if you fart in their general direction? Sic Mutt on him and stick your sword up their arse. Need to hunt game for Sir Divish but cant hit the side of a barn door with a bow and arrow? Thats alright, Mutt can hunt down fucking stags 3 times his size. And all he wants in return is rotting meat left over from poaching quests and some praise. God I love Mutt. [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Jan 2021 06:36 AM PST I grabbed this game when it came out and gave up due to the bugs. Is it playable now? [link] [comments]

Combat system is really weird for me after 20 hours play. Posted: 06 Jan 2021 08:04 AM PST The game was great, I understand how almost everything works in the game now, but there's one thing I am quite not get a good grip on, the combat system. I play on PC, a gaming laptop to be precise. So blocking is Q, easy to understand, but there's block and hit, which combines Q and left mouse, not really works. And when I sprint, I can't unsheathe my sword. And the combo rarely works. I understand that nothing would come easy like in many beat-em-up games, but I has practice a lot with Sir Bernard and through combat, nothing has really improved but blocking. So can anyone help? I thought that it may cause by the membranes keyboard, so I purchased a mechanic keyboard yesterday, it may change we I used the new keyboard but I want to ask the veterant first then actually do something else. These picture may help: https://imgur.com/a/6vRTvJN [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Jan 2021 09:55 AM PST You go to someone to ask for training and then they ask that you pay and, when you do, nothing happens. Does paying make it so my stats improve? So if I pay Bernard does my DPS with a sword improve? It seems I am able to kill camp leaders or anyone pretty much one on one but Bernard kicks my ass. I still can't get combos right. And to learn special moves i have to beat Bernard, seems impossible. I did beat Sword Saint Isshin Ashina in a sword fight but Bernard seems harder lol [link] [comments]
I just beat the biggest pain in my ass with one hit Posted: 05 Jan 2021 07:02 PM PST So I was in the fight with runt and I keep dying cause I couldn't heal and I had to of tried like 100 times and Eventually I gave up and say it's my last time trying and I hit him once over the head and he gets knocked out from the head cracker ability but dam screw that bastard that is runt [link] [comments]
Starting a new game and I haven't played in a year and a half. Any tips? Posted: 06 Jan 2021 09:31 AM PST Or should I just enjoy this first time experience kind of feeling? My memory is pretty bad. I didn't get very btw my first time around, up to the castle where you learn how to fight and get access to the full training options. Maybe 30 hours in and that was just me killing people and hiding their bodies...✋😅 [link] [comments]
Does anyone know the name of the background music? Posted: 06 Jan 2021 06:02 AM PST

Posted: 06 Jan 2021 01:47 AM PST Just wondering if the haircuts and beards show up in Cinematics? I understand it's a small company and they already put a LOT of work into the game, and I love it! I'm just slightly hoping they had they had the opportunity to be able to add it to the Cinematics. God Bless! [link] [comments]
How come Henry always has his visor down? Posted: 05 Jan 2021 07:01 PM PST When ever you see him in a cutscene like just haggling with a merchant if you have a helmet on he always has the visor down. [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Jan 2021 12:09 AM PST I have horse troubles, but not in the normal way. Pebbles doesn't throw me off ever. (Idk why I keep seeing people talk about how pebbles throws them off. Never has pebbles ever thrown me off. Even when I stuck an arrow in the back of his head). I usually ride Pebbles right into my bandit and cuman hunts, no problem. Shoot them all down from his back. Which horse do I take? I mean I have a crippling attachment to Pebbles and I promised myself... Second playthrough... We get a different horse... But I still can't make myself. And if I do eventually get myself to change horses, I'm looking for a good looking horse, preferably a black or dark coloured one for aesthetic's sake. But it seems all the best are the brightest white in the universe while the other tier 5s are not what I'm looking for. I'm looking for speed and carry capacity but that would mean Warhorse Jenda if I'm not wrong and I'm not sure if there are drawbacks for them too because they have WAY too good stats to not have any drawbacks right? (PS4) Game crashes during the opening cutscene of "A Woman's Lot" Posted: 06 Jan 2021 12:03 AM PST I can't get past the opening cutscene of the DLC without it crashing when Theresa comes out of the house in said cutscene. Is there a workaround? [link] [comments]
Should I use a controller or keyboard to play? Posted: 05 Jan 2021 05:13 PM PST Hi, I got the game awhile ago and I have a pretty good feel on keyboard (im on pc) and I was wondering if the controller is better. I have an XBOX ONE controller. Some people say its better. I want to know your opinion. Thanks. [link] [comments]
