Posted: 09 Jan 2021 03:55 PM PST I won't make this too long, I bought this game a few day ago when I saw it was on sale, and at first I thought I probably wouldn't get much into it, since I'm used to easy shallow games (assassin's creed GTA ect). For the first 10 or so hours I was having a hard time with the mechanics more than anything, the combat I actually found enjoyable immediately and it's only gotten better, but over the last couple of days getting into the rhythm of the game I've been shocked at how incredibly immersive and fun it is. I've become mates with a spoiled Nobel, killed a decent amount of bandits, went journeying all over, got it on with Theresa and won the tourney on my first try. But the incredible part is I've never felt so immersed in a story/world in my life (except maybe some books) I actually yelled out when I won the tourney, and I'm catching myself irl smiling/laughing/cursing during dialogue or combat. I'm afraid Ive got a feeling that a couple hundred hours of my life are about to be spent on this, but I'm fine with that. Edit: I've also played Skyrim and all the Witchers and none of them even come close to this in my opinion. [link] [comments]
Posted: 10 Jan 2021 02:55 AM PST I thought hardcore was the perfect way to add more realism to the game turns out hitting an unarmed man without armour 20 times with a sword is not enough to hurt him und you just get knocked out. Hows that possible i get it im a blacksmith and shit but i stabbed him in the face 10 times and he doesnt care and then proceededs to beat the shit out of me keep in mind i have fought armed and armoured oponnents in that safe before and most fold like paper after 2 or 3 stabs to the face not him tho no shield nothing im spamming buttons at this point hitting him from all directions 7 8 times in a row and he still beats me (fully armoured) also keep in mind i break every bone in my body when i get hit and my staminas low (sounds like me bitching about hardcore being to hard but that pisses me off its an rpg not a slasher game like skyrim where u take the weapon with the most damage and just start hitting people) [link] [comments]

If I can't I'll just have to eat ass and buy the $20 DLC thing [link] [comments]

What would Kingdom Come 2 even look like? Posted: 09 Jan 2021 09:39 PM PST I love the game, but its hard to imagine what Kingdom Come 2 would play like simply because the life of a peasant differs greatly from the life of a nobleman. In terms of gameplay, Henry should theoretically be wealthy enough to buy whatever he needs, and have a retinue traveling with him and following him into battle as well. Would any of the gameplay elements from KCD be appropriate if Henry were a nobleman? Regarding the setting, I imagine a sequel would have to focus heavily on religion, since all of the events in KCD lead up to the Hussite wars. While religion plays a role in KCD, it was never overbearing since at no point was it ever the main focus of the game. However, I don't think this can still be the case for the sequel, since the backdrop would literally be a religious war between the first Protestants(?) and Catholics in Bohemia. I honestly can't imagine a sequel to KCD that doesn't completely change the formula of the game we've all played and loved. Any thoughts? [link] [comments]

Posted: 09 Jan 2021 09:28 PM PST It won't let me even try to open them? Just says this box is too hard. I tried getting drunk first. I'm level 7 at lockpicking, do I need to be higher? [link] [comments]
In what ways do you think the sequel could improve on the character progression of the first? Posted: 09 Jan 2021 03:12 PM PST Just saying I'm no historian or even any kind of history nerd with regard to this period. I don't know how far the game goes in accurately representing the setting and I don't know how my recommendations really fit with that. But I was thinking for one thing to either dramatically increase the cost for higher quality items or put them behind a reputation progression wall. I've read that swords or plate armor could sometimes cost the same as whole estates back then... the economy is definitely off when a day of hunting is enough to afford the best gear money can buy. You might say that this would hurt the game economy by making equipment even more easy to farm, but just don't let enemies use the egregiously expensive stuff. It's not like Cuman mercenaries should be able to afford the same equipment as land-owning generals and nobles. And similarly I think it would make sense if in a town you had to get in with the nobles or rise through the ranks of society before you could purchase their better gear. After all why would a weaponsmith want to sell his best stuff to some stranger who only ever visits to slaughter nearby bandits and gamble? [link] [comments]
Posted: 09 Jan 2021 04:18 PM PST Hey! How is everyone today? So I booted up KCD on my pc (intel i7, 2070 rtx) and tried running max settings and the fps was abysmal. I lowered the settings assumimg that was the issue but even on normal I was barley getting over 20. I also noticed cutscenes were stuck at like 5 fps. Any tips would be appreciated, thank you! :) [link] [comments]
