Where does the style of the map come from? Posted: 08 Jan 2021 06:46 PM PST I really like how there's just people on the side, or just some wild shit going on in the margins. Is there a period of time where people did maps like this, or where can I look to find more examples of maps like this? Edit: Okay, so I found out about a thing called Illustrated manuscript which may not have been on maps a lot based on light research, but was in a lot of books and they made some wild shit in the margins of old texts. Is there a way to skip the woman’s lot DLC? Posted: 09 Jan 2021 10:18 AM PST I was playing through the woman's lot dlc but I got a little bored so I decided to load back a save and continue on with Henry. I really don't feel like going back again so is there a way to skip it? If not can I choose to just not do the dlc or does it have some importance to the story? Thanks [link] [comments]
Discussion kinda spoilers i guess fritz and matthew Posted: 09 Jan 2021 10:06 AM PST So my save file got corrupted and i lost like 50 hours of gameplay so i started a new game and i ran into matthew and fritz outside the pub in sasau i was just wondering if i help them get a job at the mill will i not be able to recruit them to pribyslavits and will i not be able to do the cuman rob quest thing [link] [comments]
Should i Buy the Game? (Royal Edition) Posted: 09 Jan 2021 01:50 AM PST I watched a few videos but all u found was probably Cutscene. I'm afraid this is cutscene simulator. I Love Mount and Blade: Warband, played it a lot on ps4 and still waiting for Bannerlord. I also love witcher 3, Dragon age Inquisition and Fallout 4. Is KCD anything like these games? Can i take a castle and make my own army then lead it to battle? Are there huge battles like in Mount and Blade? The Royal Edition is currently 12$ on PS4 but i wish to know if it's worth my time. Thanks in advance and stay safe everyone. [link] [comments]
Posted: 09 Jan 2021 09:12 AM PST Hello, this is my first time on this sub as I just bought the game last week. I've sunk quite a few hours into this game, I have St. George's sword and near the best armor but every time a group of six fucking peasants come out of a bush I'm fucked. I understand how to fight groups, I'm talking about how your cursor half locks on one person and you must really turn to disengage. I get struck 5-7 times in the back while being physically unable to turn because of game mechanics. I understand that you shouldn't let yourself be surrounded but when pebbles kicks you off at a road stop and they're already around you, it's infuriating to try and fight not because they're good but the mechanics literally do not operate in a fashion where you can effectively turn around quickly in combat. Not being able to turn around is not realistic so don't give me that. [link] [comments]
Posted: 08 Jan 2021 10:36 PM PST I just started this game, and even though it is 100% never going to happen, VR would be a blessing. I honestly can't think of a mechanic that wouldn't work well, if not better in VR. If Skyrim can be adapted for virtual reality, I truly can't see any reasons this can't too, other than obvious differences between bethesda and warhorse. This is easily one of the most immersive games I've ever played, but when you really get down to it, the core mechanics are really simple. Walking, talking, eating, fighting, shopping, all of that would instantly become so much more intriguing in VR, not to say that it isn't already. Wow, I'm just blabbering, but I'm imagining a world where this is a thing, and I want it. [link] [comments]
I'm glad I'm giving this game another chance Posted: 09 Jan 2021 08:19 AM PST Back when this game was announced, I was quite hyped until I realized it would be first-person only. I sort of wrote it off at the time because I was busy with other games etc. I ended up buying the game for PS4 but abandoned it after 2 hours because it felt a bit slow and overly grounded, and again, the first-person camera also put me off a little bit. Now, almost two years after it was released, I'm hooked! The game looks absolutely stunning. Nothing about it feels fantastical, romanticized or dramatized. Forests are thick and dense (not just a collection of trees sparsely plunked together as most games tend to have) and the sound of birds is wonderful. Buildings seem historically accurate. The medieval illustrations and decorations on the walls are just so intricate. It truly feels like a game that is beautiful because it's so grounded. It probably has some rough edges, but it oozes passion. It's absolutely obvious how much time and effort was put into this game. Walking around and just taking in 'Early 15th century Bohemian life' is such a joy. It actually distracts me from the plot. The world feels so uniquely designed. Whenever I discover that a quest destination is in an undiscovered part of the map, it actually excites me because I'm curious what kind of things I'll discover along the way. I'm also not an overpowered warlord that destroys everything in its path, which further fuels the feeling that I'm really just playing an ordinary young man in this world. For years I've heard RPG fans talk about the concept of "immersion" and I have to admit I never really knew what it truly meant. I never found that Skyrim did a particularly good job of "immersing" me, and people often laud that game as being immersive. I think I finally realize what it means after playing this gem, because this time around I, as a regular person, am actually playing another regular person! I'm only 15 hours in and am yet to decide what I want to 'become' or 'do' (apart from quests) and am largely totally clueless, but that's fine. I plan to savour this one. [link] [comments]
Do clothes in drawers respawn? Posted: 09 Jan 2021 03:49 AM PST I've played the game for about 40 hours at this point and i have a question. When npc's go to sleep they store their clothes in a drawer or some box and i was just wondering if they respawn. To say if i were to take them would the clothes respawn or would the npc's just not have any clothes anymore? [link] [comments]
Posted: 09 Jan 2021 07:22 AM PST I'm well into the main part of the story, I think. I'm currently in "If you can't beat 'em" main quest. I realize I've missed out on riposte and masterstrike training, I didn't think it would matter but I can't execute them at all. Am I just slow or did I have to actually get taught by Bernard? He doesn't offer training anymore [link] [comments]
Why is Captain Bernard just leaving? Posted: 09 Jan 2021 03:33 AM PST Why is he just walking away? I'm trying to grind my mace levels and using Captain Bernard as an unholy bop it. I've had it happen a few times with the real sword and mace. It's pretty annoying. I just want to grind my mace levels without disruption. At first I thought I hit my surrender button but it kept happening. What's happening? I'm very close to maxing my sword but I want to learn all the weapons and max them. What's a good way to max mace because I managed to grind tonnes of levels training with Bernard with the sword but the mace is kinda annoying. Also I'm dying, headcracker keeps activating.
