Is this game worth it in 2021?

    Posted: 07 Jan 2021 11:30 PM PST

Hey everyone! I just got my refund for cyberpunk from the psn store and I bought a year of ps plus and I still have money to spend on one game. I've been looking to buy this game for a while now as the idea of a medieval sim is super interesting to me, but most of the reviews say that the combat is super clunky and uninspired or that the game is too tedious. Can someone give me an unbiased opinion of the game and tell me if it's worth the money?

    Thanks in advance!

Why can I open some locks but not the other locks that have the same difficulty level?

    Posted: 08 Jan 2021 05:39 AM PST

As title, I can open a hard lock door in the mission where you fetch some wine for Capon(turns out the locked door lead to the armorsmith). But when I want to open a "hard" locked treasure chest, it say it is too difficult to open.

I remember when I played the game two years ago ( stop playing at some point and decided to start a new game recently), the game tells me the same thing but I could still attempt to open any locks at any difficulties at level 1 ( despite breaking many lock picks for harder locks).

I look up the internet but the sources are conflicted with my experience, people say I need 6+ lockpicking level to open hard locks but I can open the door to the armorsmith at level 4. Do I need different lockpick levels for different locks with same difficulty?

    Bandits at Skalitz

    Posted: 08 Jan 2021 02:40 AM PST

When I arrived at skalitz, there were guards fighting two heavily armed bandits who were subsequently killed. Is this supposed to happen or are they supposed to die for the player to get easy loots?

Why am I weak AS F*CK even at high levels? Or the game just don't want Henry to be OP?

    Posted: 08 Jan 2021 08:17 AM PST

This is the BEST open world RPG game since Skyrim, hands down. As Hungarian, I appreciates this epic creation even more, than usual fans.. so actually I understand crystal clearly the voice acting of Cumans, but I still don't understand why the creators don't translated this game to Hungarian language. Maybe they are still mad at us because of Sigismund? :(

    SPOILERS* maybe?

Anyway, I'm near at the endgame, I'm lvl 19, Strength somewhere about 15, vita 20, mace 8, sword 10, warfare above 13, full plate armor, I accidentally found St. George's sword (i was looking for the bandit camp when we need to find Reeky) so basically I'm considered to be a terminator now. Well, that's NOT how it is.

I can almost one-hit everyone, IF the fight wont starts, and i just swing one with my hammer or sword. But as the fight starts, I'm totally lost sometimes, even with these stats. The animation shows i clearly hit the enemy, still, he defends it somehow, then counter attacks me what i can't defend. From 10 strikes i can hit about 2 if I'm lucky. EVERY SINGLE STRIKE i made, it will be blocked by the enemy, and no matter my stats, they easily counter-attack me every single time. I'm a calm person, but at this point i yelled with my monitor, because why the hell I'm grinded 20+ hours if someone STILL can hit me?

I don't understand this, and I'm seeking for the secret constantly. I would like to win the tournament, but Black Peter gets me every time. I reached to him - at the tournament - only one time from four...

Do you guys have any clues? Do i have to grind more hours with Bernard? I tried to kill EVERYONE in my playthrough (who doesn't matter), because every hit means experience points. I traveled up and down prorogating bandit attacks when fast traveling to gain even more xp. Henry is still WEAK LIKE A CHICKEN. I want to win EVERY fight with easy, because i worked hard, i grinded hard for it.

What is the key, gentlemen? What is the secret? Lvl cap from every fight skill? Or what?

An Interesting Yet Infuriating Reading Glitch

    Posted: 08 Jan 2021 12:47 AM PST

So I seem to have run into a rare and frustrating glitch. I decided to start a new game after being away from the game for awhile. I ended up just starting a new game on one of my old used playthrough files on PS4. Now this usually wouldn't be an problem until I decided to learn how to read 20ish hours into the game. I decided to sit down and kind of grind out my reading, the issue is the game considers that I've ALREADY READ EVER BOOK. What the heck?!

I don't understand how this has exactly happened and it seems to be rather rare of a glitch since I've only ever found 4 other people mention this glitch. So now I'm stuck in a 20ish hour long playthrough with zero books to read for experience. I have no idea what to do or if I should ignore it an continue, although I was really looking forward to the reading map perk.

Edit: Just to make clear, I'm on the latest patch on PS4 1.19.

Figured out why combat may seem wonky

    Posted: 08 Jan 2021 01:05 AM PST

Hey there. In most games I've played, PS4 and X Box controllers, when you use the bumper or trigger, you press them quickly and your character will hit or shoot or punch. With KCD you press and hold, then move into position, aim your blow then release.

I just fought Milan to verify and I did a good job of "crushing his balls", to quote Lord Hans. I also realized I'd been doing that for awhile.

    Best lockboxes?

    Posted: 07 Jan 2021 06:24 PM PST

Other than the treasures in the wild, what about normal lockboxes in people's houses or businesses, do we have a list of worthy boxes to lockpick? I feel alot of the time I endanger myself lockpicking and the box opens with barely anything of worth.

I opened one box in the Tanner's home in Sasau that had 1k Groschen armor.

P.s. I'm still level 4 lockpicking so I limit myself to very easy or easy boxes only.
