Finished my first RPG: my thoughts on Kindome Come Posted: 26 Jan 2021 02:15 AM PST As the title says: This was my first RPG that I finished. Here are my thoughts: It's an interesting game with lots of trade offs. I've sunk more hours into this game finishing it than into any other. The last large game I played was AC origins with 100% around 100 hours in. It was rough at first, getting the hang of the RPG side of things. For example it took me a long time to notice the charisma system. The best perk for me was Revenant. After that I didn't have to worry about my health. The hardest part of the game are all the parts. It's not a game that gives dopamine hits. The first person perspective makes it really that. I'm surrounded, pressing 1 to equip my weapon, hit, I'm still fighting with my fists, press 1 again, fighting, dealing a few good hits, but no one goes down, set Mutt on them, one down, get hit, stamina drops, hit them, one down, two down, phew, I survived. Now I need repair and heal before I can continue my travels. It also feels like a stressful grind. For example, started Pribyslavitz without having enough money to get it profitable. Took me a couple of real hours to get the money by going to Skalitz, looting, returning and selling their gear. I had so much money after I had Pibyslavitz up and running that I stopped looting. The monastery mission wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. I had already entered it a couple of times before. I also experimented with doing bad things while there and reloading. Got lockpicks and weapons from my horse while fetching the wine. Managed to level up my alchemy skills. Also, what was up with transcribing the pages? The librarian was always negative about it. I do feel bad for Karl though, since he was not spend his whole live in the monastery. Loved just walking around, found Pribyslavitz and Vranik early in the game. Was a bit disappointed in finding Vranik empty up till the point you kill Pious. Matthew and Fritz are jerks, didn't want to help them again. Would've loved to have training battles, a bit like the tournament, but many on many. Did side missions to get most main stats up to 20, it made the latter parts of the game much easier. fighting multiple enemies still stressful but a breeze seeing my health was still high. At the end of the game I was stealing less and less. I did unlock chests and doors to level myself up. But it felt unfair to the NPC to let them walk around in the undergarments. I see this as a good thing as it made me feel connected to the world. Another cool thing was that I slayed every bandit without hesitation. However the ones that had actual lines asked to be released and often times I did just that. Also what's up with bandits surrendering during a fight and then start fighting again, bastards. Next play-through I would choose to level up speech twice in the beginning. It's the one that is the hardest to level up. [link] [comments]

How to kill every guard in rattay? Posted: 26 Jan 2021 08:39 AM PST For security reasons, I would like to kill the annoying guards in rattay, but I am not able to 20v1 them, and stealth isnt working good for me anymore (they all pile up in the market). Any suggestions? Jesus Christ be praised. [link] [comments]

Posted: 26 Jan 2021 06:52 AM PST I'm playing kcd for the third time and I still find combos confusing (I can do them quite easily but they're just confusing). For example the false blade combo says that it can be executed with a longsword only but somehow I can do it with a shortsword, so now i don't even know if I should trust the combo descriptions :| [link] [comments]
Posted: 25 Jan 2021 10:52 PM PST Did anyone else get absolutely flustered in the early game when dogs accompanied bandits? I got unreasonably angry at them, that even in the late game whenever I killed a dog I would skin it and put it away in my chest. [link] [comments]
Bugs Right Now! Wall of text incoming Posted: 26 Jan 2021 08:43 AM PST I've noticed that there are some pretty annoying bugs. The first time I got the game it was definitely buggy with some of the game not working correctly but some time later it got a whole lot better. Recently though I've noticed that there are some new bugs. These are seriously agitating considering how well the game was working before now. There's one big where my character would just be a black outline when I'm opening a trade and that means that I can't select anything so I'd have to leave then enter until it fixed itself. Another bugs is that I'd just be stuck standing still as the enemies batter me, like seriously!! Two other bugs (or what I assume are bugs) happened during Theresa's story when my dog bit the enemy and I'd swing but the gut wouldnt be "close enough" to count as a hit. Same thing when I do a parry (or riposte) and the guy wouldnt be close enough or he'd just receive 0 damage from a perfect and clean hit to the face. That's like my signature move because of how deadly it is. Is anyone else experiencing this and does anyone know if this will be fixed in the near future? [link] [comments]

Posted: 25 Jan 2021 06:41 PM PST The bandit who stole the sword in the beginning. Because he didn't wear a fucking helmet. Seriously, blocked his sword and he dropped his guard for a second and bop goes the weasel. Remember to wear a helmet, children, it could save your life one day. [link] [comments]
Charlatans house in ledetchko? Posted: 25 Jan 2021 09:36 PM PST I can't find it and I got tired of the charlatan so I stealthy stabbed him in the neck... where is his house if anyone can tell me real quick? I got his key and would like too now raid his house. [link] [comments]

Can someone please help me confirm if my game is bugged? Posted: 26 Jan 2021 03:06 AM PST I'm on PC, version 1.9.6-404-50411 on Steam. Started the game last week. Really enjoying the game! The game seems very immersive! I arrived in Ledetchko and only certain NPCs seem to have the option to 'Talk' (Innkeeper, Ledetchko dice player, Tailor) but a lot of other NPCs such as Villagers and Guards only have the 'Pickpocket' option. See example picture: Approached a regular Villager in Ledetchko, not stealthed. I just got to Ledetchko, and I don't have a quest to meet Miller Oliver but discovered him just by exploring, and he has no 'Talk' option either. Miller Oliver I could have sworn that everyone has something to say, at least about the Cumans and what happened at Skalitz. But for some just-met named characters not even having 'Talk' is now concerning me. I reloaded my save from days ago in Rattay, and noticed the guards there only have the pickpocket option too... The beggars, such as Beran and Kunesh do have 'Talk' options. My progress so far is on the quest Keeping the Peace (join nightwatch in Rattay) but I got distracted with the bird quest and strayed north to Ledetchko without any direct quests there yet. https://i.imgur.com/O3MLbiv.jpg Now I'm paranoid that my game is bugged. Can someone please check to see if Villagers and Guards and Miller Oliver in Ledetchko cannot be spoken to, only pickpocketed? [link] [comments]
Random people that want to kill me Posted: 26 Jan 2021 02:43 AM PST This is probably my 8th play through (hooray for being in lockdown) and looking for Ginger again. My last run was in hardcore mode and I'm almost certain that I didn't encounter so many random groups of Cumans, peasants and fully armoured bandits in the woods and on the roads. Is it the game being random or are these encounters related to my armour/low level? How does it work? For example last week on hardcore I was wandering round talmberg woods for a real time day and saw no one whereas today I'm seeing someone nearly every 15minutes. [link] [comments]
Posted: 25 Jan 2021 10:46 PM PST I just got the game, I love it. So far my favorite flaw is the dice gambling system.you can tell ll. I've made so much early grochen in this game because of it 😂 Bit in all seriousness, as I said above. This game is great buy it if you haven't. [link] [comments] |
