    Gosh I love/hate this game

    Posted: 30 Dec 2020 09:33 AM PST

I fast travelled to finish my quest. I was near Talmberg until 3 guys and a dog ambushed me... Lost 1h, 2 done objectives, and the "discovery" of Sasau. It taught me something tho, I need to use Schnapps!

My first experience in KCD made my jaw drop

    Posted: 29 Dec 2020 02:12 PM PST

I just bought KCD on Winter Sales, the first hour of playing was awesome!

Was on a mission to get charcoal, got in a fight with the guy who owned money to father.

Beat him up collected the stuff and made a haggeling mistake selling the tools :D

Tried to gamble my money back, lost twice trying to learn the dice game ending up everything lost.

Got angry and tried to beat up the gambler, eventually leading to my arrest and getting thrown in the castle jail.

Town got raided out of nowhere...

The castle got set on fire while Henry his mother yelled for him!

    Henry died of the fire...

This is where my jaw dropped, i know what ill be playing this weekend!

    That was awesome!

Does knocking out NPCs (before lockpicking their chests) count as crime seen and lower the reputation level?

    Posted: 30 Dec 2020 06:44 AM PST

I know it's been asked countless times but all from two years ago. Unlike knocking out people from the back, sleeping NPCs open their eyes briefly and in the animation clearly watch Henry. Is it just a "realistic animation" thing with no consequence or are there consequences?
I know (from experience gg) that knocking out NPCs mid-animation of waking up counts as crime and catchpoles hound you in the morning.

    Stealing after beating Ringlet

    Posted: 30 Dec 2020 08:50 AM PST

I have just beaten Ringlet in a fūght and he's unconcious. I have an option of looting him. Will it have any bad consequences if I do loot him?

Is there any beginners tips and help on this sub?

    Posted: 30 Dec 2020 02:44 AM PST

    Hi all,

Just started on PS4. Just having to try to worm my way out of the town you flee to.

I know this will be the start of my adventure 'proper' and wonder if there is any compendium of general advice, traps, how mechanics work etc?

I know the game is part needing to discover for yourself, but certain things like lockpicking seem really obtuse and in need of more of a guide than the in game explanation.

    Thanks for your help

    Aquarius quest questions

    Posted: 30 Dec 2020 08:18 AM PST

For the Aquarius quest I chose Kornelius, Vincent and Antonia to be water carriers, and I chose Rock and Pickman to be latrine carriers. I thought that Tonda's attitude was too combative, and he basically threatened Henry. That doesn't make for a good employee. Rock was very open to the latrine duty, but no one else really wanted it. I chose Pickman for it because he seemed somewhat open to different options.

I looked at the wiki afterwards, because I felt kind of lost on the options, and the wiki said I should choose Tonda, Pickman and Vincent for water, and Antonia and Rock for latrine. I should save Kornelius for a job that becomes available with the DLC. Okay, so as noted above, I don't like choosing Tonda for anything, and of all the prospects, if I were a real-life employer, he's the guy I definitely would not hire. I don't really like Antonia for the latrine duty because it feels demeaning/exploitative of her situation. There wasn't any dialogue option when talking to her to explore latrine duty, so it just felt kind of wrong to say she's a poor woman with an injured husband who needs to take work outside what a woman would typically do, so oh here's shit-hauling duty for you.

So my question is, how much is there any "right" answer to the question of who to assign to what duty? I specifically didn't ask any of them for anything in return for their post, because I didn't really feel comfortable with Henry bargaining quid pro quo for refugee employment. I just don't want something to blow up in my face in terms of unintended consequences. Thanks!

Does anyone know the npc code to black peter?

    Posted: 29 Dec 2020 08:43 PM PST

I didn't realize who he was so I ignored him and went on my marry way. Come to find out hundreds of hours after that he's part of a quest and I missed out on a good fight.

Is there a way to spawn him so I can at least have a go at it with him? Apart from starting the game over again

    Can't parry?

    Posted: 29 Dec 2020 07:22 PM PST

Hey, whenever I try to parry this is what I do:

Press q to block when the shield thing comes up, and during the slow-mo I left-click or right-click, is this wrong? Because all Henry's doing in my game is perfect blocking.

Sometimes it parrys and sometimes it just blocks

Does the health of gear affect its stats?

    Posted: 29 Dec 2020 05:24 PM PST

As in, if something has lower health it has a lower armor stat, or is that constant?
