    Question regarding combat

    So. I've noticed the enemies all do this same exaggerated, telegraphed, slow-mo wind up overhead strike that I can't block. Just can't block it. It's not a master strike (at least not as Bernard explained it) because it's not a parry/riposte thing, it's a first strike. And no matter what, I can't interrupt it with a jab or block-and-parry with my own master strike. Pretty much the only thing I can do is get out of the way of the "fuck you" strike, because it's going to be the first in a chain of three to six rapid fire blows that will leave me bleeding and at half health, no matter my armor.

    I simply don't understand what's happening. It's quite frustrating, as you can imagine, because my stupid ass thinks 'aha! an opening!' I see my weapon hit them, but nothing happens. And then I get wrecked. Every. Single. Time.

    Is there something I missed/forgot? Or do I just suck?

    I was able to walk around Skalitz in the main menu!

    I was playing and failed a quest segment, so I decided to reload so I could do it. When I loaded the save I wanted I was returned to the main menu with an error message saying "Error: save could not be loaded" then I moved the left stick and was able to walk around! I should've recorded it, but I was in the moment of the quest 🤷‍♂️

    Has this happened to anyone else?

    TL;DR: game bugged and allowed me to walk around in the main menu screen

    I woke up this morning with an urge to play KCD after seeing so many posts of people being master swordsmen. The thoughts of building my town into a bustling metropolis wove through my head.

    I plopped on the couch with a fresh cuppa tea, turned the Xbox on & went to boot KCD when I get get the notice my installation has expired. It's a bit dissapointing to have bought the DLC & then have the game taken away.

    Enjoy your time with Henry while it lasts, it may be ripped from you before you realise.

    Help with hardcore mode? All negative perks.

    I haven't played this game in a year but I came close to beating it before I lost interest the first time as Henry turned into the terminator late game. Second time around I'm trying hardcore mode with all negative perks.

    And I can't kill shit.

    I like everything about hardcore except the manner in which Henry fights. He's a wimp with zero skill.

    I'm at the early mission where I go hunting with Hans Capon & try to rescue him from the bandit camp. I will slash and stab these two assholes for an hour straight and make perfect blocks but since Henry is such a wimp with no skill I'd be better off using a tennis racket.

    What do I do? Do I have to go train and grind XP with Bernard for the next few real life weeks? And then just hope I can find my way back to this camp in the middle of the woods once I have a sufficient enough agility?

    tl;dr - Wtf? I just want to be able to kill these two shitbirds at the camp.

    Any Fast travel Mods out there for Hardcore mode?

    I have loved the game so much and have played through it about 3 times each with hundreds of hours on it. Played almost all that time on hardcore and love all the additions hardcore adds but after playing so much I know the whole map like the back of my hand so I have no trouble getting around but man it can get tedious going back and fourth from talmberg to rattay non stop. Are there any mods that leave hardcore exactly how it works just adds fast travel?

    (also yes I know its hardcore but getting from one place to another is not a challenge and gets old pretty fast)

    Game Load Failed Question

    Hey everyone!

    I just encountered an error where i lost about 3 hrs of progress.

    For clarification, i am on my second playline (going for a couple other achievements i had missed in the first playline).

    I had given this a search on this subreddit and have seen others encounter this issue as well, however those threads are relatively old.

    My question is, has there been a workaround that is proven to work for this issue?

    I am on xbox one x on version 1.9.2 (the number at the bottom of my pause menu) if that makes a difference.

    Ramblin’ about the knight in shining armor perk

    So you got this perk; Knight in shining armor, right? It basically allows to blind people, and making them think you're a knight, but the thing is, if you have plate armor, YOU ARE A KNIGHT? So what's the point?

    [Tip] how to get some good-ass armor (lipa nobility armor)

    1. Learn how to fight (you need to know how to fight bosses very well, timing and ripostes)
    2. Get some saviour schnapps and approximately 180 coins (if the tourney starts the day you're playing, you only need 60)
    3. Wait till the Rattay Tourney starts.
    4. Drink a saviour's schnapps right before you start fighting in the tourney. Tips on how to win the tourney: -Always have full stamina -Don't go ape shit, attack only when the enemy has low stamina, -Do feints (ONLY ON THE FIRST ENEMY) -if you know that the enemy is in a defensive position, and is going towards you, when he doesn't attack you can literally walk into him, but you have to be fast- you'll be in a grapple, so click the attack button as soon as you can, than stab or slice the enemy in his head, that will give you advantage, -Always make sure your enemy has the same or lower health as you, -When you're fighting Black Peter (or the third opponent), be aware that he is going to rush you as soon as the round starts, so don't go ape shit so you don't lose stamina, but just riposte and perfect block, you should only fight these guys defensively rather than offensively.
    5. Kill all three opponents,
    6. Go to sir Hanush for your price
    7. Rinse and repeat, until you get a full set of pretty much the best armor in the game.

    Miller Peshek's chest patched?

    Hi, totally new to the game. I was searching for the best way to make money in the game and found that you can just steal weapons from the guard tower in rattay worth hundreds of thousands and drop on to Peshek and then wait for a couple days and he sells all that stuff. And then you have to go towards the barn towards the back and inside there's a very hard chest where he keeps his money.

    Well i went there and it was an easy chest which had absolutely nothing in it. I don't know if its a bug or they've removed the chest where keeps his belongings. Plz help.
