    I just discovered this game

    Posted: 10 May 2020 07:48 AM PDT

Been playing CoD for some reason, hideously bored and bitching about the lack of decent RPGs on the market. Last one I tried was FO4 and that was a pile of steaming shit. Heard about KC:D yesterday afternoon scrolling my Facebook feed of all places.

Put that shit in hardcore thinking "I did Witcher on Death March and New Vegas on hardcore, this'll be nothing." Never have I been so thoroughly bitch slapped in the first hour of an RPG. Tried to fight those dudes harassing the wrench at the beginning when you need to flee on a horse; lol, nope. So it began.

Sword fighting. Lock picking. Archery. As I died, broke picks, and lost arrows to the ether, I was filled with a sense of purposeful rage I've not felt since I was 15 playing Oblivion. Small victories started feeling monumental. I looked at the clock for the first time since downloading it and 7 hours were gone.

Kept my poor GF up at 2 am howling with laughter at the Priest Godwin sequence, my long -forgotten theological education thoroughly tickled. Got as far as the Timmy quests before I realized the sun was coming up. Ended the 15-hour marathon by getting as drunk as I could, decked out in a 0-noise set, and robbing most of Rattay.

Damn. That was fun. I felt like a kid again; didn't think that was possible. Hats off to whoever made this game, the craftsmanship shows.

    Recommended mods for second playthrough?

    Posted: 10 May 2020 09:17 AM PDT

Got about two thirds done on my first play, never actually finished the game. What mods would you recommend to spice up the new game?

Is there ANY way to remove enemy dogs?

    Posted: 10 May 2020 06:40 AM PDT

First of all, I love this game. Playing on pc, don't care if it removes dog companion as well. I just hate the way they're implemented. It really makes combat unenjoyable. I know you can "just shoot them before combat" or whatever but I'd rather enemy dogs just not be in the game at all.

Would be awesome if warhammer made a historically accurate samurai based game similar to Kingdom Come

    Posted: 10 May 2020 08:44 AM PDT

I've been watching this history channel show called warriors and while watching the samurai episode I just thought about this. I think starting out as the lowest rung and working yourself up to a samurai would be badass. You could master katana technique's, use the long bows and Spears which actual names escape me atm, for blunt you could use kanabo's and if it took place around the 1600s you could even use a matchlock rifle.

You could pledge yourself to a master and fight wars for him or become a ronin and have no master. Just the overall idea seems really appealing to me because I like the combat system so much in KCD so I think it would be awesome with this setting and being so skill based.

Why isn't this game more popular?

    Posted: 10 May 2020 01:42 AM PDT

I remember playing the first witcher game many years ago and falling in love with the lore and atmosphere of the game. The developers started off from humble beginnings and with the witcher 2 and eventually witcher 3 created an amazing and immersive franchise where they are now regarded as a heavyweight developer.

Kingdom Come deliverance I feel is the most innovative and immersive RPG I ever played. In a way it's kind of ruined me because it highlights ever more how generic many other games truly are. Every little detail is paid attention to. I feel this title embarrasses the likes of Assassin creed games and others games which are essentially reskin after reskin of arcadey games with mediocre stories. Just look at the Ai in most of these games and tell me how it's changed in 10 years.

I thought Kingdom Come deliverance would be seen by many as a breath of fresh air and an actual revolution in advancing games forward. It's brought about the changes most sandbox gamers yearn for. Why isn't it more popular. Why is one of the most hyped sandbox games coming up an assassin creed game which will undoubtedly be a reskin of what we have had before. It really confuses me how this Title doesn't get the recognition it deserves

The women stay at home in Play with the Devil. Bug?

    Posted: 10 May 2020 05:25 AM PDT

Hey, so I started the Play with the Devil quest, talked to the women and learn about the meeting but when I went to the meeting place, nothing.

I waited the whole night and I could see their marker not moving from their home and checking on them they are indeed spending the night sleeping like good christians.

Anything I can do to continue the quest? Thanks.

    Posted: 09 May 2020 11:46 PM PDT

I thought these guys were supposed to be hardened mercenaries, but most of them die almost instantly in the final battle of the dlc. Any tips on how to get them to survive? I'm beginning to think it's impossible.

Just got 100% achievements (base game), including hardcore and merciful achievements. AND I have to say...

    Posted: 09 May 2020 05:35 PM PDT

It wasn't worth it, I hated every second of playing in hardcore mode to get the last 4 achievements (2 hardcore ones, merciful, virgin). This game was so buggy, I hate getting stuck in objects like bush, jumping in this game is messy and rage inducing. Heed my warning, if you plan on doing the 100% achievements run, just DON'T.
