What are the best armour pieces for defense.

    Posted: 03 Jun 2020 09:40 AM PDT

I've seen so many outdated guides or guides not focused solely on armour's purpose, defense. Also some guides are about the entire armour set, eg the Magdeburg set.

Could someone tell me the individual armour pieces with the highest defense.

    Thanks in advance

    This game is extremely immersive

    Posted: 03 Jun 2020 10:21 AM PDT

I bought this game last year but couldn't get into it for some reason. It does have a bit of a steep hill/learning curve at the beginning (post-Skalitz). Then I started playing again a week ago, and I must say I haven't felt this immersed in a game in years. There is so much detail in this game, and so much RPG to it. I have to prepare and think things through about almost everything so much so that it puts many popular RPGs to shame.

After I finished an objective and there's no auto save or a schnapps left I know it's also all about survival mode and I love that too. I did the executioner's quest and after getting everything done I didn't have food any more, only potions that made me drunk. My nourishment and energy were low. The shops were all closed. No bed around to sleep in either at the executioner's place so I took the gamble waiting it out and drinking alcohol for nourishment. Passed out a moment before the cutscene (which was to happen at around 2pm) and then woke up in the middle of a forest with some corpse before me, lol. I'm sure many of you have similar stories that surprised you and made you think ''if only I had prepared better!''

    This is a pure RPG..

I love the story, the side quests, all the hills, streams, towns, etc. And the music too.

How does anyone believe this game is “racist” or “white supremacist” in any way?

    Posted: 02 Jun 2020 03:39 PM PDT

    1. The Cumans aren't painted as barbarian monsters at all. Henry even exclaims how much better and cleaner their camp is than the bandits' in Nest of Vipers
    2. The townspeople who claim the Cumans are monsters are shown to be ignorant idiots. There's a whole side quest about it!
    3. There simply weren't people of ethnicity other than German/Czech/Polish/etc in that specific small area in that time. To include a character of African or Middle-Eastern descent just include one, in a game designed solely for historical accuracy is nonsense and backward-thinking, not progressive or inclusive.
    4. If anyone thinks this game glorifies white-only society, and yearns for the "old days," they've never played past the prologue. These people lived in literal shit! It's the point of the game!

I despise racism and bigotry in all its manifestations, systemic or personal, but I also dislike false labels.

    Idk, thoughts?

    Beneficial start game quests!

    Posted: 03 Jun 2020 05:18 AM PDT

Hi. I'm fairly new to the game and I was wondering what quests at the beginning of the game are helpful for Henry. I had one play through where I rushed myself into it and got a little stuck at Runt and so I've started a new save. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

(Edit! After the battle with the Cuman and bandit camp)

So I'm doing the quest for Johanka and I've done the potion for the insomniac but whenever I give the comfrey to the one dude the objective to help skallitz locals fails and if I talk with johanka she just tells me to get out. I searched it up on the wiki and there are supposed to be two other people there hans and another traumatized villager but I cant find them anywhere.

    Alchemy Guide

    Posted: 02 Jun 2020 05:48 PM PDT

Been looking out for possible alchemy guides off and on since I started playing KC:D in the last few months. I was constantly bothered with inaccurate videos and guides, with few helpful guides far and between.

    With that said:

These are the optimal recipes I've discovered for all the potions from Kingdom Come: Deliverance, without any perks.

Patch 1.9.4 was released on November 22, 2019 from what I could find, and most guides/videos I find were made before this. Unsure how relevant this is.

Some notes about alchemy in KC:D I found:

You NEVER need to wait for the cauldron to cool completely (as in, for the fire to go out).

If I don't list a waiting step (ex. after boling stops, when sandglass is empty), waiting is not needed.

Pulling more than 5 times in a row doesn't result in a full turn being added to the length of a boil. (May need to be verified, as it seems with certain ingredient mixtures in the cauldron, the cauldron may cool quicker. Though, this may just be my imagination.)

If anyone has any better recipes, or find an improvement for any of these recipes, let me know and I'll update my post.

Edit: Just wanted to add a note about Trial and Error (level 5 Alchemy perk). While I haven't confirmed it for every recipe, with Trial and Error, I have a strong hunch you can simply take any of the recipes here and ignore any instructions involving heating, and still get 3 doses for each. Going to test this out within the next couple days.

    A Woman's Lot

    Posted: 02 Jun 2020 07:12 PM PDT

I just finished A Woman's Lot... Can you say astonishing! I would have loved to play the game through as Theresa. I understand how difficult that would be in medieval times but it would make the experience more exhilarating. Warhorse, please make a sequel following her defying social norms, or at the very least DLC in the future game.

From Zero to Hero to De Niro?..Too fast?

    Posted: 03 Jun 2020 01:45 AM PDT

    Hey guys,

I got the game 2 weeks ago or so, loving it.

The beginning was thrilling every ambush, every fight, every camp was a rush and real risk/reward situation, couldn't get enough of it.

Now some 10hrs of gameplay later, im just the witcher 2.0, i just did the Killing Runt mission, and man i was mowing down the whole camp alone more or less, i would just swing and poke my longsword and killed everyone in 1/3 hits.

Runt went down like a bitch, didn't even scratch me.

So, what's the deal? Is it normal? Did i do too many bandit camps, sidequests and training with Bernard?

I won the tourney with no problem, and the game now just lost all of it's magic, it's like The Withcer/Skyrim now, im' a demi god that can destroy entire camps and towns if i want.

    So, should i

    1) Restart in Hardcore 2) Use no plate armor and "Crappy" weapons 3) Just rush through the main quest and finish the game

Im on console so no mod for me unfortunatly.

I really wanna go back that feeling. I went from pesant, to "Sir Knight" in 3 in game weeks, i know progression is a part of the game and im quite levelled now, but i just don't feel the challenge?

    Help pls!

    Kuno’s response (spoilers)

    Posted: 02 Jun 2020 07:39 PM PDT

So I start Band of Bastards and in the first patrol I track down a bandit camp. I decide to decimate the entire camp as Henry has done so many times before. I head back to Kuno and tell him that I wiped out the bandits. He is absolutely shocked that Henry could/would take on 8 bandits alone and win.

This is probably one of the funniest parts of the game, observing as a player. Henry has gone this entire time annihilating entire bandit camps only to return to his other taskmasters to get a bemused pat of the head and some groschens.

Now, Henry is introduced to this guy who comes off as this hardened tough guy. But he is shocked (probably terrified) by Henry's Rambo style tactics.

This interaction really puts the rest of this game into perspective.
