Posted: 28 Apr 2020 03:16 AM PDT Hi guys, I just wanted to share my experience of this game on console (xbox). I had played hundred hours on normal and decided to play hardcore mode which I'll refer to as "hcm" with minimal spoilers as possible in terms of quests or things i consider to be spoilers. For those who cbf reading, the tl;dr is hc really created a love on a whole another level and really brings out how amazing this game is. If you want to rush story and everything and achievements play on normal, if you really want to immerse yourself in the world of Bohemia and really experience the game for it is at a slow pace, give hardcore mode a go! I had picked all perks at the start, honestly it does add a bit of a challenge to the game however isn't too much of an extra learning curve ontop of hcm except for being patient in combat and knowing when to fight and when to fucking run and at most in general three "perk" in general just makes certain times very inconvenient and made certain skills in the beginning a challenge, and made waking up a inconvenience however was something I got used too quickly. Despite having a hundred hours on normal, hcm had made me realised how much I rushed certain things despite not doing the main story as soon as I could. It really does slow down the pace and really makes you appreciate the smaller things whilst travelling between towns, like seeing an interesting site as an example and actually made the random events either a fun break in travel (riddler as an example) or a group of roe running past. So far my favourite part of hcm was when doing a main story mission in which Henry goes hunting with a certain person, rather than quickly skipping the rest of the day sleeping, I stayed up to level hunting and holy shit I had not realised how immersed and amazing the stars was and when I got back to the camp site made me appreciate that experience, especially as a irl hobby I love my hiking. Not having the compass and map does make it extremely challenging to find treasures as an example or even to find a quest and I did get lost more times than I can remember, however they were still positive times and on occasions was a lot of places I didn't really explore whilst on normal. The one thing I wish was added in which is probably in a mod on pc however on xbox we have no access to would be a portable camp-site, even as basic as the camp-site function in Red Dead Redemption 2 so whilst doing long travels to different cities ie. Rattay to talmberg I can stop in other smaller towns, spend time hunting or finding herbs etc. and slow pace down more to enjoy these things without the feel of grinding without worrying too much about not sleeping and being in the dark, even if I had to build a camp-site with stones/wood I would prefer that. It would just make my time going long distance a lot more fun and I could explore a lot more when moving around if I know I had that alternative to build a super basic campsite to sleep the night even if it added a debuff. Theres so many other things that I could bring up, but these few things really made me realise how much more amazing this game is and how great warhorse as a studio are and I am super excited to experience other games from these guys. They have gained themselves a life long fan. Definitely glad I took the jump to have a play of hcm. [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Apr 2020 05:06 AM PDT Is there a site or something in game where you have all the outfit pieces and than you can equip them on your character. So that you can see how it looks and how you can make the perfect outfit for your Henry. Kind of a wardrobe for Henry where you can try all the outfits. I don't know if it's there but it will be great if there is something like this. Just for trying out some outfits so that you can buy that in game. Perhaps there is a website builder in the house or someone who likes to make this. Please let me know if there is a site or feature in the game like this or if someone is interested in making it. Need help for combo in hardcore mode Posted: 28 Apr 2020 04:51 AM PDT Hi guys, I am wondering how you guys performance the combos in hardcore mode, I tried a lot with the training with Bernard but he blocks or master striked almost every of second hit of my combo, so I am wondering how you guys do it most of time. Also without the star, when I tried to do the false edge, the last hit always end up in the left angle instead of bottom left, any tips? :( [link] [comments]

So what exactly happened in House of God? Posted: 28 Apr 2020 11:08 AM PDT SPOILERS I've beaten this quest three times already, and I still have no idea why and how Zmola stole the stone and replaced it AND made a believable devil's skull and left it on the site. How did he replace the stone without anyone noticing? What did he have to gain from it all? Was there anyone else behind/with him doing all this? Has anyone found out? [link] [comments]
What are the combat cues in this game? Posted: 28 Apr 2020 11:02 AM PDT Hey all, really struggling in combat because I just don't know when the game is communicating anything to me. I can stay in a fight for ages just with perfect blocks again and again. But I'm never able to see what is a good point to attack or anything. My perfect blocks are always met with other perfect blocks and then it's just "do I get bored before the Xbox does?" Is there something I'm missing? Also, can you turn the camera in combat because it's making me motion sick lol [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Apr 2020 10:45 PM PDT I think the hardest part of the game is trying to role-play based on "what would not I, but a medieval commoner, do in this context?" There's a lot less looting of the dead, a lot more quest choices that make me uncomfortable. But the absolute hardest part that causes me to die the most is trying to live up to Henry's oath to his parents, "I'll never run away again." Fuck I die a lot trying to honor that oath. Rather disappointed with the monestary quest Posted: 28 Apr 2020 03:19 AM PDT Spoilers follow So, I got the quest and the bandits mentioned that there may be some sort of cave that would allow you to sneak in undetected. I figured I'd give this a try, as I had just stealthily destroyed all the bandits from Robert Baron and was looking for some dark brotherhood type action. Found the cave, found it goes nowhere, took the bowl which I still don't have the quest for. Stabbed two priests in their beds, snuck into the priors chambers, knocked him out in his sleep, and took the monestary key. Got into the monestary, only to find it completely deserted. No monks, no novices. If they're going to suggest that this is an option and give you a way to get in you should be able to complete the quest. Otherwise, they shouldnt suggest it or allow you to enter the monestary. Luckily I saved beforehand because I'm doing a heroic run and didn't plan on having Henry murder clergy in their sleep be canon, plus I wanted to experience the story. It's just dissapointing that the stealth options are lacking because it had the makings of a great mission and they dropped the ball on the execution. They probably should have had one or two of the enforcers patrolling the halls as well so you're not completely safe wandering around at night as you are currently. This is almost as bad as that whodunnit mission in Oblivion where you're supposed to kill everyone in the house unnoticed but everyone has one hp and you literally can't be noticed.
