A mod which lets you strap polearms to a horse?

    Posted: 15 Dec 2019 05:55 AM PST

I realize what I am asking for is very, very niche. The thing is that I like to roleplay when I play through the game so carrying polearms in the inventory is obviously not something I want to be able to do, especially since those mods always go hand in hand with being able to equip them in the place of swords

What I want is simply a mod which lets you put polearms on horses but not equip them in your own inventory. Of course a mod which makes them carriable in the inventory but not equippable would also work, though I haven't seen anyone like that.

I doubt this exists but I thought I would ask anyway. Or perhaps someone decides to make something like that, who knows.

How do i know when is gonna be the next tourney?

    Posted: 15 Dec 2019 05:40 AM PST

I already did the quest, black peter even attacked me and all, but it has been like a week in-game and the herald still says "You need to to wait for sir hanush....." . I have nearly nothing to do bc i finished the main storyline and i want to fight stuff.

KCD is the best terrible game I’ve ever played

    Posted: 15 Dec 2019 06:58 AM PST

    • somehow this game has more bugs than any Bethesda rpg I've ever played. Between disgusting texture pop-in, npcs phasing through tables, and invisible walls this game somehow makes fallout 3 and STALKER look like polished

-the combat system is an absolute mess. By design of its for honor style lock on system, it makes any kind of fighting outside of a 1v1 sadistically hard. But with the inclusion of master strikes, 1v1 combat becomes disgustingly easy. Fighting in the tourney or dueling wayfaring knights, I can just stand completely still and press Q until I win. And it's not like I have a choice in the matter since they will master strike every one of my attacks. Like dark souls pvp it just devolves into this passive and boring parry bait meta. And before the neckbeards who white knight for the combat rush in to shout "muh realism" "hEnRy iS jUsT a PeAsAnT" "yOu TrY tO Do ThAt" this is a game and there are supposed to be liberties taken for the sake of fun. The whole story is just one contrivance after another. The fact the plot of the game even happens is a glaring breach in "muh realism" anyway. Should we have to wait 2-4 real life days for Henry to heal from an ankle sprain? That's realism. Mordhau achieves the same goal without sacrificing fun

-treasure maps are atrocious. They are crudely drawn and have no sense of scale. The map could say it's right outside of rattay, but is actually 2 towns over. You are pretty much forced to go google the actual locations of you don't want to waste hours combing through every square inch of potentials entire quadrants of the map

    • despite all this, I still sunk over 100 hours in this game. Its pretty good in the sense that it keeps me engaged and I enjoy doing dirty deeds for dirt cheap with the millers. I also like how armor actually feels like armor. However, if KCD wasn't such a niche title I doubt it would be nearly as successful. Just like how planetside 2, ARK, 7 days to Die, and almost every Bethesda rpg occupy such a specific niche that they can get away with being a buggy mess and/or having baffling gameplay decisions. KCD2 is going to be a hard sell if the combat isn't fixed.

I need help. I've done all of the objectives for this quest including scaring the 3 guys camping by the grave but when I come back to meet the charlatan in the morning his only dialogue option is "let's trade". Anyone overcome this issue?

Is there anything interesting in Vranik Forest?

    Posted: 14 Dec 2019 12:26 PM PST

You know, the big ass forest in the lower left corner of the map. It just seems empty as fuck. What a waste.

The would be much better with easy quick save.

    Posted: 14 Dec 2019 09:07 PM PST

yeah, I know, that was not what they were going for, but hear me out. I played the game about a year ago and restarted a couple of days ago. This time I am playing with a quick save mod. I am surprised at how much better the overall experience is.

The biggest difference is probably in the starting area if you choose to grind alchemy, stealth and so forth. It is a lot easier to do with the unlimited saves. Yeah, you can do it with the 8 or so schnapps and the story based saved game points but it is much more annoying.

After the beginning of the game it becomes an issue of sleep, do bad stuff, get to a bed, sleep to save, repeat. Then, also early game, it becomes craft savior schnapps, carry a bunch, use a bunch, make more when you get low.

Both these are just more maintenance. I mean it is all exploiting the game in an unrealistic fashion. Just how annoying the exploitation is to do.

I'd say that it would be a good thing to completely lock down saves in hardcode mode, but for regular play something like a 5 copper cost of the schnapps would probably work as well. cheap enough to where there is no "stress" about spending them.
