Warhorse is officially hiring for a new game! Posted: 12 May 2021 05:01 AM PDT Word just got to me that Warhorse is looking for a larger number of new animators and programmers. Apparently, a new game is currently in the works. I know for a fact the studio began working on better motion capture some time after the official KC:D release. And while I haven't seen any signs of whether it's going to be a KC:D sequel or something brand new so far, I don't think we'll have to wait for long before some new hints emerge. To me, this is very exciting, because they have been quite silent about what's happening in the studio recently. And while that, unfortunately, still doesn't mean we will ever get the new game released, because things can go wrong, I'm choosing to stay positive and keep my fingers crossed for Warhorse! Posted: 12 May 2021 09:37 AM PDT I have started my second playtrough and am in rattay for quite a long time now but I can't zoom in on the town. Also when I look at my reputation tab I can't see rattay which means I haven't discovered it yet (while I have walked trough all of rattay). I don't know if this has anything to do with the issue but I'm playing on hardcore mode. [link] [comments]
Cuman AI seemingly became sentient as I've changed the course of the Lost in Translation Quest Posted: 11 May 2021 06:16 PM PDT Unexpected, after the captive Cuman led me to his hidden treasure in a trunk, I was given the options: - Take him to Rattay - Set him free - Execute him Well, I took him to Rattay where he got imprisoned and was supposed to be tortured and publicly executed. I've visited the Bailiff for my reward and the quest was complete. Then I went back to the Cumans cell to kill him myself instead, I had to kill the guard, lockpicked the celldoor, and when I was about to cut him down, I've seen I could still talk to him like during the quest, so after a moment of contemplation, I chose to set him free, which was never ment to happen here. I've wondered what will the AI do, how will the script adapt... the Cuman went rogue. He run up the stairs, opened the door, then run quite fast, couldn't keep up with him, had to call for Pegasus to not loose him. The Cuman run until where the beggars sleep, stopped, turned and stood there for couple seconds in confusion, then run in a different direction, found his way out through the main gate and run down the hill following the road, barefeet, dirty and in rags. Half minute later he again did the same, made me think he was scripted to not just run away from the trunk but find his way to a Cuman settlement, the one where he was supposed to lead me for the ambush part of the quest perhaps. He turned and run back into Rattay, now taking a new route, narrow streets, until he run out of the city through the second entrace. Now he kept running on the road for a very long time, it didn't seem he was running towards the direction of the trunk either. After many minutes he deviated from the road, running sideways on a steep hill covered by trees and bushes. He took a slight turn and was again on the road, at this point my need to end his suffering outweighted my curiousity. I've shot an arrow towards him, missed by almost nothing, he stopped. Turned towards me and stood there. I got off my horse and approached him, "Where is the maze?" (Westworld reference) He squinted his slinted Cuman eyes, it was clear that he came with the latest wave of invaders, wasn't yet mixed with raped Europeans unlike the Hungarians.. reminded me what these barbarians have done to my home, Skalitz, and to all the innocent people who've lived there.. and my basic empathy for living beings got crushed by my sense of justice, of vengeance. Couldn't talk to him anymore, but I thought to myself: "I know that if I let you go, you'll only cause more chaos and bloodshed. I'm sorry, but this can't end any other way.".. I drew my sword and slashed him, to my surprise he drew a sabre seemingly from nowhere and started to fight. I've stabbed him twice and then he kept his weapon, which again disappeared, and he just stood steadily, if I moved he turned towards my direction, didn't fight nor run. Decided it was time to give the confused AI some rest, slashed him again, he fell and I had an option of mercy kill, I've sheated my weapon and reluctantly strangled this lost Cuman. I've buried him under a pile of hay nearby. [link] [comments]

Learning combat moves at start Posted: 12 May 2021 06:52 AM PDT Is there a way (console command/mod) to learn the combat moves, like riposte and combos, at the start of the game? I want to do a fresh start and ignore the main quest line and just play around. In other words I don't want to spend time with the captain learning moves and such. Is there a way around it, please? Black Peter logic (or lack of it) Posted: 11 May 2021 11:39 AM PDT So, I believe almost everybody here knows how Black Peter' story ends. I wanted to know what you guys think about it considering the following facts and details: 1) Henry beats him in a tourney using the same weapons as the tourney rules demands 2) Then Henry keeps with his life on, killing bandits, getting better equipment and training a dog 3) Black Peter still revolted with his defeat ambushes Henry The thing is: did Peter really think he could beat Henry just because of the surprise element and a poison weapon? I mean, even in a balanced fight he lost, how could he think he would beat Henry in all his skills and power? With Henry having the help of all mighty Mutt in top of that? I can only reach the conclusion he couldn't bear a loser life and wanted to die in a honourable way, which not even that he could get in my case because good boy Mutt did him. [link] [comments]

Posted: 11 May 2021 01:01 PM PDT I just started the quest for lady Stephanie and I ran around and did 2/3 of the mission things for it. I got promptly ambushed by seven peasants on the road and got killed immediately. I knew the game saved on quest completions and starts, but I think the game should also save at points throughout quests like that where they're map spanning. I don't know if there's a place to post criticism or suggestions but this is mine I suppose [link] [comments] |
