New to KC:D, and absolutely loving it Posted: 06 Dec 2020 08:21 PM PST This game has provided me with something that I don't get from so many modern RPG's: satisfaction. Spending hours training in the combat arena picking off small bandit bands one by one to train your skills, then having it all culminate in a tournament or a particularly trying fight feels so damn good. I know that some people find the realism and sheer amount of concentration + effort required to learn the game to be alienating, but it's truly been a breath of fresh air. I'm absolutely in love, and look forward to shit posting with all of you [link] [comments]

Houndmaster perk "Sic" is kind of cancer. Posted: 07 Dec 2020 08:33 AM PST I'm used to mindlessly holding X to call Mutt for treats, then I had the brilliant idea of getting the perk. It seems to be more trouble than it's worth as now, I'm a hated figure in Sasau because twice I accidentally set Mutt on the townsfolk there. I feel particularly bad about the bar maid as she runs away from me on sight when all I really want is to buy some beer. Also, Mutt constantly growls when I'm staying at the tavern. TIFU by fighting too many people and breaking the save file (SPOILERS) Posted: 07 Dec 2020 09:46 AM PST Discovered Prebyslavitz and took a look around during the day. Managed to catch the attention of most of the guards at some point and led them all down to the river nearby and funneled them into a choke point. It was insanity and eventually felt "clippy" and "stuck" during combat. Figured there were so many bodies piled up and simply needed to get out of there. Tried to venture further into the camp and kill everyone off. The camera was too shaky and unresponsive. I put so much effort into making Henry a war crime machine and messed it all up by being too ambitious. Has this happened to anyone else? Trying to decide what to do with the save file. Thanks. Problem with "Payback" mission Posted: 07 Dec 2020 07:48 AM PST Hi! After the last cutscene in the Payback mission beginning the game quits unexpectedly to Windows, tried at least 5 times now. Did anyone encounter the same problem? Is there a known fix? I'm using the latest version on Steam with all DLCs installed. My specs: Ryzen 3800X 32G RAM (3600Mhz) GeForce RTX 2070 Super Windows 10 game running from a SSD drive. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]
Is it normal to "run out of enemies" mid- to late game? Posted: 07 Dec 2020 05:07 AM PST So I just finished the main campaign and I'm sticking around to tie up loose ends here and there, as well as play some DLC content. One thing that's kinda bothering me now, that I've started to notice around the time after Pribyslavitz, is that I get basically zero Bandit or Cuman encounters anymore, unless they are part of a quest. Ambushes while quick traveling have already stopped happening mid- game, making the related perk even more useless (why would I want to escape/avoid ambushes? I want more armor pieces to sell!) So I wanted to check if that is normal, i.e. if eradicated camps and ambush sites are supposed to stay clear, or if my game is slightly bugged in that way. The former would kind of make sense, if it weren't for the constant reminders that the roads aren't safe, the threat hasn't been dealt with, that bandits would keep coming to take advantage of the unstable situation etc. I also think I read somewhere that camps etc are supposed to repopulate after a while. I also read there's a bugged quest that disables ambushes but then forgets to re-enable them after the quest ends, but I'm not sure which quest and if that bug is still there now, two years later (the post was from 2018). Now I know the game is not meant to be played forever, ad nauseum. And I did not plan to just keep going in this save game, beyond finishing all the quests and achievements I wanted to, then restarting and role playing an entirely different kind of Henry. But I'm curious if my experience is normal. That there is a limited number of enemies you can meet, and that ambushes stop happening. Any thoughts? PS: I don't know how I'm supposed to get "Serial Killer" at this point without killing civilians. [link] [comments]

Posted: 07 Dec 2020 02:43 AM PST ^Title. I've had the laptop for almost a year and I've never encountered problems like this before, so it's not a hardware-related issue. Anybody have any suggestions or fixes? Edit: I'm playing on Steam. [link] [comments]
How does perfect throw affect dice rolls? Posted: 06 Dec 2020 01:25 PM PST I normally use six odd dice (each 10:1:10:1:10:1) and that wins the game more or less all the time without the perk. I just got the perk and I'm trying to figure out what has changed. I seem to throw more 1's and 3's. Does anyone know exactly how perfect throw affects odds? [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Dec 2020 09:51 PM PST So, I'm in the epilogue after the credits have rolled, and I'm doing sir Hans dlc, and I have to say that the ending has let me disappointed. KCD is a really amazing game, but in the end, the bad guy gets away with your sword, and it ends with you talking to your dad on a hill, and then talking to your "dad" in a dream. I did notice that the quest where you have to find that guy that burned down Skaitz and get back your sword. This confuses me because Toth has your sword, so how do you get it if he's gone? Again, it's a great game, I've loved it from the start, but WH has let me down big time. [link] [comments]
Bernard does anything but train me. Posted: 06 Dec 2020 04:05 PM PST As the title states. I've waited multiple days, checked every hour from 8am to 8pm. I used cheat commands to find him sleeping then walking around the castle when he should be at the arena to train me. I've beaten baptism by fire so he isn't at neuhof. Any clues? Edit: I'm on PC playing 1.9.6 and the game runs fairly smoothly. [link] [comments]

Did the Devs patch Runt's fight to be easier? Posted: 06 Dec 2020 04:28 PM PST In 2018, every YouTuber I was watching took several tries (6+) to beat that bald cunt, some had to use exploits. Well, I just fought him and it was over in seconds ( I'm far from proficient in combat). It was, in fact, easier than the average bandit. I did two perfect parries, not one combo landed (scar maker isn't working, I think). My blade was poisoned and I focused heavily on his unprotected face... but he died super fast. Possibly the easiest fight so far. A bit anticlimactic, but the whole battle was amazing. This game is so underappreciated. [link] [comments] |
