    Beginner tips for combat!

    mfw i'm feeling somewhat peckish

After my utmost disappointment with Bannerlord, I gave KCD a try. Now, I can say its my all-time favorite game .

    Posted: 17 Nov 2020 03:02 AM PST

I always wanted to play KCD and I realized just now I got it for free on Epic Games. I got 40 hours in and Its such a fun game and I'm not a big fan of RPG to begin with. I just love how its semi realistic and slow it is in a positive way. It gives you something fresh evry step of the way; unlike Ubisoft games that has repetitive tasks and NPCs. I played Skyrim and Witcher series but always meh'd at it. Its too "information overload". I also played Bannerlord which almost destroyed my PC with all the wonky bugs it got. KCD is really good for introducing RPG for beginners, I must say. Well that's just it.. thanks for reading. May the lord watch over you!

Disconnect your controller. Tested on ps4, also works during cutscenes.

    Brothers In Arms

This game has the most fun combat I have ever experienced, and for me it´s a shame that we don´t get to use it that much after finishing the game.

    Posted: 17 Nov 2020 04:04 AM PST

Don´t get me wrong, I don´t mean that the game is bad, I loved it. I played through it 4 times and each time it was a blast because the combat is just so damn rewarding if you get good at it. I wish there were more combat based events, Band Of Bastards was great in my opinion, I wish it was longer. Now, I need to constantly fast travel to get the random encounters, because it´s so much fun taking on multiple enemies.

    keeping the game fresh.

    Posted: 17 Nov 2020 02:40 AM PST

i have played through the game multiple times and i almost finished my no death harcore playthrough, will probably end this week.

But i really want to keep playing the game(yes i have the DLC pack) and i am looking for a way to play the game and keeping it fresh so kinda like a different playthrough or a cosplay playtrhough.

Do you all have tips on how to do this or rather what to do?

Anyone else have weird experiences? (Exploration Spoiler)

    Posted: 16 Nov 2020 11:03 PM PST

So I've been playing Hardcore and I chose the Nightmares and Sleepwalking negative traits just so I have valid reasons to avoid sleeping. Now this scenario involves me doing Bandit hunting for Sebastian* Vom Berg at the Sassau Monastery and I was conducting the first of many Bandit Hunts with a large amount of difficulty. I took a lot of damage, and the sun was going down- Screw travelling at night. So I slept in one of their sh*tty tents to the far west, basically the edge of the map of Skalitz, and ended up sleep walking back to Henry's old home in the burnt down remains of Skalitz.

Only other time I felt that freaked out was when I went Hunting In the forest across the river south east of Rattay and as It got dark I stumbled upon a bloody trail that led to some psycho house of horrors.

Anyone else have neat experiences either with their Negative Traits or just plain old other scenarios that ended up freaking you out?

Henry, Sir Radzig Kobyla, and Martin.

    Posted: 17 Nov 2020 04:57 AM PST

If Henry is really Sir Radzig Kobyla's illegitimate son, then why doesn't he look like him? To me he more resembles the late blacksmith Martin. I have a theory that perhaps Sir Radzig Kobyla had an affair once with Henry's mother and then assumed (possibly incorrectly) that Henry was his illegitimate son. Or maybe perhaps he felt that because he had no heir of his own, and also had great love for Henry, announced that he was his son, to essentially adopt Henry as his own, to leave him as his heir and leaving whatever is his to eventually be inherited by someone he trusts who has nothing of his own, Henry.

    Random encounters around the map

    Posted: 16 Nov 2020 06:38 PM PST

Are there any lists anywhere? I'm trying to locate info about them on the Fandom Wiki, but no luck so far.

Reason I'm asking is: (Even though it's not actual spoilers for the plot, better safe than sorry)

I just stumbled across a dead roe deer in the middle of the road, stopped at it to see what's what. All of a sudden a random woman springs out of the bushes accusing me.

I manage to defuse the situation and then I ask her what SHE was doing there. I succeeded in the Speech check saying "Look, it'll be easier if you just confess" but she still snapped at me and bolted away, claiming she'd report me to the authorities for falsely accusing her of poaching.

(The funny part is that she started running down the road in the opposite direction of the nearest town)

I'm just confused as to why it had such an outcome even though I succeeded in the speech check. I wanted to see if there's a wiki page showing random map encounters such as this, so I can see if there's a better way to resolve the situation (at least other than simply sending the woman on her way, because I was genuinely curious about why she was there)

    Thanks in advance c:

Ideal graphic settings to run this game?

    Posted: 16 Nov 2020 05:44 PM PST

On my old PC I couldn't play this game because it was near impossible to get a decent frame rate, and now I recently got a new PC and I'm trying to play this game that I missed out on, but somehow in this game I still get very low frames with my new built computer, which is kinda bumming me out.

When I first launched the game I went full ultra on everything, and while my FPS was decent in less crowded areas (80-90), it gets really down low (30-40) on some crowded areas, like at the centre of Skalitz for example. I want to experience this game without giving up too much in terms of graphics, and would love to find a sweetspot that gives me at leas 60 frames in crowded areas while playing the game. Do you have any suggestions for me? The constant change on framerate depending on where I look at also makes the game perform pretty poorly, so I'm trying to get at least 60 at all times and then lock the framerate to 60 so I don't have lots of tearing on my screen.

    My specs:

    RTX 3070, Ryzen3700X, 16gb 3600mhz cl18 ram

What are some great hidden gem or encounters you’ve come across?

    Posted: 16 Nov 2020 11:09 AM PST

Kingdom Come has to be one of my favourite RPG games of all time, and it definitely seems like a game where there is so many hidden gems and encounters to come across and the maps is so big it's hard to find them all.

For example, there is that hut in the woods with murdered bodies in it (from memory, I found it a while ago) and I was so surprised, slightly freaked out and interested when I first discovered it in the woods.

What good memories do you have of random, creepy, funny or interesting encounters or details that have you come across?
