Sometimes you and Henry just have to stop and enjoy the view

    Posted: 31 Jul 2020 04:27 PM PDT

Just got the starting credits... 10 hours in.

    Posted: 01 Aug 2020 06:26 AM PDT

Got sucked into Skalitz and Talmberg. Pootled about picking herbs and gambling. Imagine my surprise when I finally see some opening credits after 10 hours.

I'm going to enjoy this game.

What really boils my blood with SJW complaints about KCD[RANT]

    Posted: 01 Aug 2020 06:46 AM PDT

I know this is more or less a done deal and i am way late to the party but i just had to get this off my chest.

I have seen American SJWs complain there are no people of color in KCD, and i put an emphesis on American because, as a Croat from the Balkans this is something so infuriating i can't even describe it. They complain that black people are underrepresented in games, and in their narrow minded provincial pea brains they can't even comperhend the idea that a white person from Eastern Europe has practically nothing in common with a white person from America.

In their ignorance this people don't even realize they are comiting the worst act of colonialism, by basically erasing the identity of the entire nation. When a Czech development studio, against all odds sucessfully makes a game that shocases part of the history of their nation, history that, i can bet my bottom dollar, vast majority of people in the world know nothing about, narcissistic self obsessed SJWs cant help but screech "no, make it about me, me, me, me, you are not allowed to have anything of your own, god forbid you try to showcase your history to the world. All games must be about American reality now and till the end of time, no matter where they are set."

Let's talk about representation, before this game how many Czechs protagonists were there in video games? Can you think of any? I certainly can't. How about East European protagonists in general? Let's see there is Niko Bellic, such a hillariously bad attempt at a slavic person everyone i know from the area just bursts out lauging whenever he speaks, they did such a poor job they even misspelt his name, there is no double l in slavic languages, and a c is pronounced as it is pronounced in Barcelona, not like it is pronounced in car, always. Even the insults Niko is yelling out of his window are just a poorly pronounced google translated versions of American insults, a slavic person is very unlilely to say "you're an idiot", they are much more lokely to call you a horse or tell you to go back where you came from(in the most literal sense). Rockstar could not even be bothered with such little details.

Ok, who else do we have? You can make a case for Geralt of Rivia, but guess what, SJWs have a problem with that too.

So after utterly dominating the media for the past 50 years this entitled people have the nerve to demand that few pieces of popular media that are not about them be changed to be more about them, and to me it looks like a morbidly obese man complaining about the fact that a starving person got a piece of bread, and then go on to deamnd, with a completely straight face that the piece of bread be given to him because he clearly deserves it more.

    Time for hunting and drinking

    Posted: 01 Aug 2020 09:12 AM PDT

You know a game is great when you can spend much of your day hunting and drinking and not have second thoughts about it at all. Time for the hunt!

    Doin this right?

    Posted: 01 Aug 2020 10:39 AM PDT

    Slight bullshit

    Posted: 01 Aug 2020 10:07 AM PDT

    Big bullshit.

Why do peasants, DUCKING PEASANTS, know how to master strike if even big papa trainer straight up refuses to teach Henry how to do that, until he knows his basics well?!

Henry for ducks sake you are the son of blacksmith, how the duck does some country hobo know better than you how to use a ducking sword?

Seriously though, I think that fighting system needs small tweaks, but AI...god damn AI T-T

Here I am riding through Talmberg and I spotted these sneaky bois and I wondered why they were crouching through the streets. Then a few seconds later I figured out why.

How to find north without a compass?

    Posted: 01 Aug 2020 10:54 AM PDT

I picked this game up two weeks ago and went straight to hardcore. Love it, and I've got a handle on everything except I keep getting lost. I'm even pretty damn good at archery without putting dots on my screen like some youtubers suggest.

I swear every time I turn left, I start going then I pick up a flower then I chase a rabbit, start walking again and end up being totally lost. I went back and visited Skalitz after the prologue, but it took me like 2 hours to get out of the Skalitz area because I suck at navigating.

Tried to use the sun, but I can' t figure it out quite yet. I look at the clock and if the sun is on the right of the clock, I know it should be east in the sky, but ... like how far is far enough for east etc.

    1. How do you personally find north when you don't have land marks like cities?

    2. Do the stars ever change position? Is the star on the big dipper north? If so, is it always north?

    3. Any other tips? When you're lost in the woods, how do you find north? Thanks.

[Hardcore Mode] Have the augsburg chausses been made available or are they still missing?

    Posted: 01 Aug 2020 07:05 AM PDT

I'm searching for the augsburg chausses in the hardcore more and read that they're not in the treasure chest near sasau. Have they been made available somewhere since then or are they still not anywhere to find?

Armor smith in Rattay won’t restock

    Posted: 01 Aug 2020 10:08 AM PDT

So I robbed the armor Smith in Rattay. It's been over 10 in game days and he hasn't restocked. I also robbed the blacksmith and his inventory has already refreshed. Is this a bug or does anyone know how long it can take for the refresh? I am also playing on PS4.

I finished my first play thru.

    Posted: 01 Aug 2020 05:58 AM PDT

Just finished my first play thru went heavy with a hammer and sheild. I gotta say I loved the story but I know I missed a lot of side stuff. For my second run I think I'm gonna go stealthy Ranger and really look for every bit of side content I can.

So i am currently working on the quest called poverty chastity and obedience and the game bugged so that i cant leave my earthly goods in the chest because it is a private area. I tried loading a save before i stole the writ from the guard and he did not have it on him. I then loaded a save from the quest if you can't beat them up proceeded to finish it again and when i tried stealing the writ again it was still missing. WHAT SHOULD I DO? Platform:PC

Skill Grinding in Skalitz is So Worth It [Mild Spoilers]

    Posted: 31 Jul 2020 01:24 PM PDT

So i wanted to do a new play through and wanted to be ultra powerful. To accomplish this I spent close to six hours combined in Skalitz, leveling up my herbalism to 10 (leg day y'all), leveling my lockpicking to 6 (that was hard to do but having the luck of the drunk before the prologue is VERY OP) and getting my stealth and other things up as a result. I robbed Skalitz blind, leaving with close to 500 groschen and even knocked out a guard to get his armor.

When I first woke up in Talmberg and was told to go to the garrisons I stole everything before heading there as they were all asleep.

The result? I am heading to bury my parents with more skills and abilities than most have by the time they reach Uzhitz. This is gonna be a really fun play through.
