Why waste money buying it when you can loot the dead

Nothing like a pleasant conversation when you're at the brink of death.

"So I tried Kingdom Come: Deliverance..." - zanny

So I accidentally stumbled upon this cheese method of killing everyone in the night raid

What is a fun play style?

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 05:51 AM PDT

After finishing the game for the first time a couple of days ago, i am looking to start a new game on hardcore mode.

Last time i went full knight, running with the best armour and weapons in the game. This time i would like something different. I was thinking about going for stealth with light, dark clothes and high lockpicking skills. Or i could go Christian mode, which means no stealing and no killing unless absolutely necessary. What more play styles could you recommend me?

    Jesus Christ be praised!

    Packing a spear away

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 07:26 AM PDT

I don't know if anyone encounter this yet, but if you take your spear to be repaired by a blacksmith, it is hidden in your inventory afterwards and can be transported.

Just drop it when you want to use it.

Hey I have encountered a bug where I can't hold buttons.

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 07:19 AM PDT

So I am not able to hold a button in-game so when I want to loot I would have to hold E but when I hold E nothing happens or when I want to call my dog I need to hold X but when I hold X I just call my horse and so on. Does anyone of you knows a solution for that? ( My keyboard is ok ) Edit: I am playing on PC

What settings impact CPU usage? I'm currently maxing out at 100% cpu usage and about 85 to 90% GPU. It causes extreme dips/stutters

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 06:21 AM PDT

    My specs are:

    • i5 9600k
    • GTX 1080ti
    • 16 GB Ram
    • The game's on an SSD
    • 1440p monitor

I'm seeing in task manager all 6 cores are at 100% utilization when walking around towns/other people. But in the wilderness it's fine.

All my settings are at very high except:

    • physics - LOW
    • postprocess - MEDIUM
    • shader - MEDIUM
    • shadow - MEDIUM
    • Object distance - half the bar
    • LOD & vegetation draw distance - maybe 5% of the bar?? it's really small

I usually get about 80 fps more or less but in towns i get dips all the way down to 50s to 60s causing stutters. It just ruins the experience.

Any help would be appreciated. Cheers! :)

Considering a "Knave" playthrough a few questions on game mechanics.

    Posted: 10 Jul 2020 10:47 PM PDT

So I've played through the game, very much enjoyed my time with it, streamed every last bit, 61 hours to be precise.

Now I've had a hankering to play again, but this time in a different way, considering the size of the game I decided to tap into the wisdom of the people here to clarify a few things.

My first playthrough was as a "good guy" I was nice to people in general, and tried to make the moral decisions.

So my idea to spice things up a second time through would be to play an asshole, having as low reputation as possible to see what people yell at me when I'm around instead of the constant "HENRY HAS COME TO SEE US!" as well as to see if it changes anything.

The idea is to make a dirty drunk that'll pick the prick option if there is one available. And generally steal and whore my way through life. Making use the of perks I stayed away from such as Renegrade Brand, manly odor and the like.

So my question is basically: Would any of this actually change anything? I'm aware the story won't change, but I was hoping at least the tone would, there's this snippet from the game regarding crime "Over time, people will grow to fear and hate Henry if he is known to be a criminal" is this actually true? Is there a reputation you can gain to make you intimidating? Or is it just "oh this guy has low reputation or an option fine/bounty on him, let's not sing his praises as he walks past".

I'm reluctant to try it out if it turns out the game is basically best played as a good guy, and being a bastard will mainly just ruin and lock you out of content rather than changing it.

Anyone got any experience with this?

My thoughts on the Bad of Bastards DLC

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 12:49 AM PDT

    What I liked:

    1. The story was (for the most part) very well written and it was a pretty fun quest overall.
    2. The fights were epic, and actually provided a real challenge to me even at max level.
    3. The loot you get at the end is the best armor in the game, while also being gold-plated (all other gold-plated pieces are either weaker than the best or extremely rare) and looking awesome.
    4. I loved every single character. Every one of them. I felt like I was participating in a WWII buddy movie instead of an RPG quest. If they made a television show based on the cast I could watch it for at least three seasons without getting bored.

    What I didn't like:

    1. Absolutely none of the quests had a satisfactory ending. Every single time we would do the quest, and then as soon as the fun part is over the other guys would just stand around and do nothing except tell you to talk to radzig. In the only quest where you DO get to hang out with them after a fight, those jackasses just abandon you in the middle of the night in bumfuck nowhere and you have to find your way back. You don't even get to call them out for it or anything.
    2. I was really pissed off at the twist with Jackey. He was my favorite character, and although I get that the guys were teasing him it always came off as friendly and he seemed to understand and joke along with it. There should have been more indicators that he would betray the guys, at least in my opinion.
    3. The characters keep getting knocked out before the end of the DLC and dropping their weapons, and it might just be a glitch for me personally but they never retrieve them and they always end up fighting future battles unarmed. This makes it very hard to keep them alive in the final battle once they can die for real and I actually care about them living. -
    4. The DLC had a weak ending. After the final battle, everyone who lived just gets onto their horse and leaves forever. This sort of ties into the first problem, but it is worse because it is the end of the whole story line. Seriously? No epilogue? No final goodbye? Just "okay, you killed the bad guy, now we are out of here?" I was actually really pissed off when it happened.

Overall, I would say that it is my second favorite DLC behind Hans Capon's, and although it is very flawed I had an amazing time.

I love this game so far but that quest with the roan made me want to uninstall

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 12:28 AM PDT

Why did the developers think that was a good idea. Seriously made me regret getting the game. Holy shit.
