Poacher south of the first ruin quest

Poacher south of the first ruin quest

I've been playing on a new save, and doing the ruin quest, I decided to explore the tracks a little bit south of the grotto, near the bandit camp.

I've come across a poacher, and he attacked me. After a fistfight, I let him go, but, exploring a little bit more, I discovered that there was an "open" grave just down his tent.

Is there any "plotline" related to this? I'd love to chase the poacher, but alas he fled.

    Thanks in advance!

    Master strike

    Posted: 22 Jul 2020 09:51 AM PDT

Been looking into the master strike a bit. Do you left-click at the same time as a perfect block, or do u just perfect block earlier than usual? I think in the tutorial they tell you to left-click and block at the same time, but now I'm not sure. I wish the tutorial system was more specific and less useless. Anyway, I never cared enough to look into it before, but now I'm playing hardcore mode.

    Lucky hits or hidden depth?

    Posted: 22 Jul 2020 10:11 AM PDT

My experience with the combat system over the course of a full playthrough has lead me to believe that the only ways to consistently land hits are getting a master strike or winning a clinch. The directional attack system seems useless aside from combos (which I did maybe 5 times, mostly during mass combats where I could actually hit people more than once) and a rumor that you automatically block attacks from the same stance without having to use the block button.

My real question is: If clinches and master strikes are so important, and directional attacks are so useless, why do I occasionally manage to get hits anyway? Is it a roll of the dice every time you attack, or is there more to it?

It was most noticeable during the Runt fight, where I couldn't win clinches and hadn't even unlocked master strikes, and yet won first try (that is, my first try with more than 10 hp at the start) with good stamina management.

I think I realized why I like Farkle so much compared to all other RPG board/card games

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 03:36 PM PDT

I love that Farkle is done in real time within the game world. There isn't a separate interface and game board. I get to play and enjoy the scenery, watch people go about their business and have a few drinks, I see people that sit by and watch our own game, I even get to see the face of my opponent. I love these little touches and wish other games did something similar. It really makes you feel like a part of the world.

And because it's in real time, I get to take advantage of same game mechanics while passing the time in an immersive way. If I stuff myself in food, I can just play Farkle while I digest. If it's too late to go out exploring or questing but too early to sleep, I can play Farkle. I can get drunk, build up my drinking stats, and play Farkle while I sober up.

    It's awesome.

    Xbox Corrupted Files

    Posted: 22 Jul 2020 05:15 AM PDT

Hey guys, I wanted to play KCD a while ago and I just installed the game today to play it again because I loved when I finished it the first time, now that I want to replay it I wonder if the corrupted files issue on Xbox one stills and if it gets fixed by erasing data savings from the xbox "data saves". If you can help me with this would be awesome.

    How to master strike ripostes?

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 07:46 PM PDT

I'm already getting the hang of combat and already discovered really cheesy ways to kill enemies like clinching them to a corner, slash, clinch, slash, and repeat. I think I already know my way around combat except for the master strikes and evasions. I can master strike ordinary blows just fine but I can't master strike ripostes (the attack after perfect block). I see on multiple sources that I should just press the block button when the attack animation starts or immediately after the shield button appears but doing that doesn't do master strikes. I only get a perfect block, when I immediately press block after shield icon appears and ordinary block or just get hit when I block just when the attack animation starts.

    Reeky is missing

    Posted: 22 Jul 2020 12:50 AM PDT

Seriously, how bugged is this mission? I have done all the side quests before starting this mission. Now, i find the cave but there is no Reeky! I did everything by the book. It's the right cave alright i even watched youtube. But there is no reeky. I also learnt that there is a time factor where Reeky lives or is wounded. I didn't care if he died. I care because there are over 12 side quests that i have to complete again if this shit won't progress. Some have said that they can't talk to him but for me there is no Reeky at all. The quest objective updates as complete but nothing happens. What tf am i to do now?

How do I fight in this game? Getting mah ass kicked.

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 04:26 PM PDT

I started playing not long ago and I am extremely bad at sword fighting. It seems to me like it's left to luck. You just press buttons until you make it. My character doesn't really attack when I want him to. I'm playing this on PC, KB and mouse. What is the trick really? I'm at the first tournament that I'm supposed to win. But those dudes keep kicking my ass.
