A good game yet it’s flaws stand out greatly

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 04:54 AM PDT

Are there other RPGs with similar hardcore modes?

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 10:14 AM PDT

Love the hardcore mode. Only other game I've found similar to this is the Survival mode in fallout 4. I love the no fast travel, having to look for places to sleep and save. What other games have these mechanics either as an option or as the base game?

    Thanks :)

I just wanted to show off my Henry. What do you think? Not very practical armor but it looks good and really pushes you to learn to fight without getting hit!

My game wont load some saves

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 10:01 AM PDT

For some reason if i want to load an older save, it says there was an error and i get shot back to the title screen. Like if i drink a savior shnap before i rob somebody and get caught, if i try to reload the save it gives me an error and that save no longer exists. Sorry if its a bit confusing, i can try and explain it better, just ask.

    Is axe a viable opinion?

    Posted: 20 Jul 2020 11:33 PM PDT

I leveled axe to 13 skill. Now im using reinforced battle axe or something like that yet somehow it feels relly weak compared to my sword at 6 with the Shard sword.... am i doing something wrong? The axes are seems so slow that i can't relly outplay my opponents, are swords superior or am i just a fucking noob? 🤔

Any way to invite certain old friends to a certain village without accepting a certain quest? (spoilers)

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 09:28 AM PDT

So, i did the Besmirched and Masquerade quests. Now Mathew and Fritz ask me to rob poor quarrymen's wages who already haven't been paid their due in over a quarter of a year. Now, i got spoilt from another reddit post that Fritz and Mathew can be invited to Pribyslavitz as part of the To the ashes DLC. Can i invite these misguided fools to the new village even if i refuse the mission A rock and a hard place?

Easy Leveling of Combat, Herbalism,& Str/Agility skills

So i quickly figured out that i had low strength and agility needed to wield most weapons early on in the game.

Here are a few ways I've found to boost my strength and agility with some minor grinding.

    • There is a field between Talmberg and Merhojed (show below) that has 3 cows that spawn routinely. I found that you can stab them repeatedly with a sword to quickly level up Sword skill, Strength, and Agility. They are also very slow and big targets so make for some okay bow skill grinding.
      • Note: the cows run away after you shoot/stab them, however if you simply turn around and walk away for a bit, they just come right back. The spawning is a bit funny too as you can simply use your horse/run away and then the cows will just spawn back after a little time.
    • 2. This field also hosts alot of flowers so you can quickly level up your Herbalism. Once you get high enough you can take the "Leg Day" perk which allows you to level up Strength when picking flowers.

I hope this can be of use for anyone! This way you won't get the pesky "you are too low to use this weapon effectively" pop up. Just remember this will take a bit of grinding and time. Obviously you should still train with Captain Bernard!

I understand this may not be for everyone. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Next to Godliness quest bug?

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 06:07 AM PDT

I've been trying to complete the part of this quest where Hans asks you to break into the Rathaus cellar to get more wine.

I've found the right building in Rattay, the right cellar, and the glass to pour it into... but then there's no option to get the wine. I've been all over that back wall with the barrels and no option ever pops up.

I see online that there's supposedly an option to tell the guard what you're there for... but the only guards I see, and in particular the one right outside guarding the cellar, have no dialogue options at all.

Wanted to come here to see if anyone has had a similar problem. At this point I'm considering just failing the quest intentionally because it doesn't seem like it can be completed.

Just beat Kingdom Come for the first time

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 01:24 AM PDT

After beating the game I'm just left wanting more. I'm not sure if I like the ending yet, I may find after some consideration that it was too unfulfilling, because it's definitely on the brink. Is there any word of a second game coming out? It's been two years so I'm hoping there's been some news.

    Are tipsters necessary?

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 03:51 AM PDT

I've been doing a bastard playthrough to see how the "infamy" aspect of low reputation and general murderhoboery works out.

In general it sort of breaks the game in some aspects. It seems like you aren't meant to not play someone with high rep and a lot of stuff doesn't really seem playtested for it.

    But I'm getting sidetracked.

My question is if quest tipsters are necessary to activate quests or if it's just possible to go straight to the quest giver and take it. I'm wondering because I'm using the wiki to do any quests I've missed in my previous playthrough this time around, ideally ending up doing all of them. But it seems some just aren't available, and a lot of the quest tipsters and activity givers tell me to fuck off due to lowish rep.

I'm sort of stuck not knowing if the time just isn't right for them to give said quests, if they have them and refuse to share them, or if it has anything to do with rep at all. Since them telling me to fuck off may just be the low rep version of "nothing available right now". I just don't know. I'm hesitant to advance the main plot, it's my last resort.

I've seen conflicting info googling around, most of which is from 2018, some say they won't give tips if your rep is too low, some say they're just bugged and show up on the map as tipsters and aren't greyed out despite having nothing to give. Some say you need to advance the main plot.

As a note, playing an asshole seems to just be detrimental in general, it's more of a soft failure state than an alternate flavour for a second playthrough.
