Fighting in KCD is great, isn't it?

I fucking hate shortswords. They're the most boring weapon. Why does everyone in the stupid Rattay Tourney choose shortswords?

    Sir Kuno and the band

    Posted: 08 Jul 2020 04:50 AM PDT

So my dumb self finished a patrol with sir kuno, and thought we were riding somewhere and followed them awhile until I realized the mission was over and they were just in the return to camp mode. Fast traveled maybe 100 yards forward and got ambushed by bandits, at first when I saw the band I assumed they would ride on past, but they actually dismounted, helped me fight them, and left, which I thought was a pretty cool feature

how historically accurate are the codex snippets?

    Posted: 08 Jul 2020 08:25 AM PDT

I like to believe everything I read is true and useful to store in my brain. The small historical snippets in the codex are very fascinating and I'm wondering if I should treat them as true depictions of the medieval ages -- I know nothing about Europe IRL being from India. At the same time, I want to get on with the story because it's just fantastic! So... if the info is not historically accurate, I would rather play on instead of reading through everything.. thx

So i happened to pick up Petr Bearmans sword.. BoB

    Posted: 08 Jul 2020 04:35 AM PDT

So on the third patrol, Petr happened to get "killed" in combat (He would have died had he not been important, he was knocked out) so being the cool guy I am, picked him and his sword up and carried him with me. After a convo with Kuno, Petr woke back up and had another sword so I kept his. 57 Slash/Stab and worth 2.2k. Not to mention its absolute beauty.

Reputation and relation to sales prices?

    Posted: 08 Jul 2020 12:20 AM PDT

Pretty new to the game, under 10 hours or so,but am wondering about merchant pricing.

I know reputation is related to the buy/sell price and from what I gather the methods for quickly raising reputation are long gone. Do you need 100 in reputation to get a 1:1 price ratio of is there a limit?

For example, the first Miller that you meet I have a 76 reputation (baseline?) and as such my pricing seems horrible. I came out of the tutorial with a ton of stuff to sell, but hate taking a 90% or so loss.

I understand doing quests should raise reputation, but will I eventually get to a place where I can actually sell things for full/close to full value or just suck it up and take the loss?

    Are the DLC's worth it?

    Posted: 07 Jul 2020 09:52 PM PDT

I have 300+ hours in this game. I have beat it a few times but I don't have any of the DLC stuff really unless that mission you need to do confronting that guy after the tournament is a DLC. I can buy the DLCs cheap but was wondering how much extra does it add to the base game and are they worth getting? This is the list of DLC's

Treasures of the past, From the Ashes, The Amorous Adventures of Bold sir Hans, Band of Bastards, and Woman's Lot

    Pickpocketing

    Posted: 07 Jul 2020 05:11 PM PDT

When you're trying to pickpocket someone on the move and they get too far away, sometimes it will tell me I've activated the Friendly Neighbor perk, even though they didn't catch me in the act and make no comment. Will this still negatively affect my reputation with people?
