Just won the tournament in Rattay for the first time.

    Posted: 13 Jun 2020 11:38 PM PDT

Feels great! First time playing the game, got it a couple of weeks ago. The combat was really frustrating at first but Henry, Captain Bernard and I have been practicing a lot and upon my fourth time entering the tournament, I finally won and it was so satisfying.

I beat Black Peter slowly but easily with the longsword (my main). His chosen weapon was the axe (my weakest). He was winning the second round with about 3/4 hp to my 1/2. But upon a perfect block from his overhead I responded with a jab with the spike at the top of the axe and I aimed high and it hit him under the chin, winning the match and the tournament instantly.

Felt like sharing my victory :)

Annoying hiss sound when using a sound card

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 08:01 AM PDT

I downloaded Kingdom Come: Deliverance yesterday using GOG Galaxy.

Already checked if it was a problem with GOG: no. I don't have this kind of issue on any other game.

Already checked if it was cable interference: nothing cable related.

It happens because of my Audigy RX sound card, because when using the onboard audio it doesn't happen. Maybe it's electrical interference because in this motherboard the sound card is very close to the video card, they almost touch each other.

Does anyone know what to do?

I read in some forum that using SPDIF output can solve the problem, so today I bought online a SPDIF cable and a SPDIF to RCA converter (since my DAC, a humble Loxjie P20, don't have SPDIF input).

    Next playthrough ideas

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 07:08 AM PDT

I'll start as soon as the kids are in bed and probably stream it, too. I'd appreciate some input on how to make my next playthrough even spicier.

I thought about giving the "Merciful" achievement a chance:

    • Focus on main questline only, no side quests.
    • Be as cheezy as possible to complete the quests. Everything is allowed to get the main quest done.
    • Charisma checks must be taken in dialogues, except, if there's a quest option.
    • No solid food! Henry of Skalitz must survive with nurishment only taken from liquids. Alcoholic liquids and potions.
    • No weapons (obviously). Fists only. No Mutt.
    • Softcore mode. I doubt I can handle the Merciful achievement in HC mode.

Anything else that might be fun? I doubt I can combine this with any other missing achievements, but if you have one in mind, that goes well with it, let me know.

Has the game been fixed? (Ps4)

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 08:39 AM PDT

So I got the game when it first came out on ps4. I liked it but had some issues with it so I ended up returning it. The long loading, crashing, the saving system (mostly because of the crashes), and lock picking was broke. (if i remember correctly) I saw that it's on sale on the ps store but I want to know have any of the issues been fixed?

    Cannot run from cumans

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 08:30 AM PDT

How am i supposed to get away with my horse after the arrow in leg cutscene? I saw a video of someone going to talmberg flawlessly yet after the cutscene for me, my horse wont move, (pretty sure i have full stamina) and when i try to gallop the horse just does not move and throws me off to get turned into sushi by the cumans. What am i doing wrong?

I don't like the head motion during opening the doors

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 06:38 AM PDT

It's not unrealistic to open the door without looking down at your hands.
Why move the camera down? Also, why move the camera towards the fruit while picking it up. I love the hand going to pick up the apple, but why move the camera too?

any way to disable this? A mod?

Have I passed the point of no return? (Late game spoilers)

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 05:01 AM PDT

I'm on my first play through and I'm at the main quest "Siege" I'm basically getting ready to storm Talmberg. Am I able to put this off and go do side quests or do I need to keep pushing on till the end?

[Spoilers] I love Jakey's (Band of Bastards) storyline

    Posted: 14 Jun 2020 04:13 AM PDT

Ever since the first moment of the DLC he was my favorite merc. I feel like his outfit and personality were designed to give the impression of a plucky young british soldier in a WWI or WWII movie, and the entire time I was biting my nails for when this loveable character would inevitably succumb to all of the bright red death flags they were waving around whenever he was on screen.

When he betrayed the others it came out of left field, but in hind sight there were probably a few indicators I just overlooked. Overall, it taught me that sometimes the funniest and friendliest people are the ones you should trust the least.

Any info on a sequel? (repost)

    Posted: 13 Jun 2020 05:55 PM PDT

Just wondering if anyone has head anything on another release by Warhorse? Their Twitter seems to be pretty dead and lacking any sort of updates. Any search I've made has essentially led me towards a dead-end. This company showed extreme promise for what they managed to pull off with Kickstarter funds, it would be a real shame to see them fade out of relevance.

(sorry for reposting if you've seen this already, forgot to add flair :P)

    Recovering Confiscated Items in Rattay

    Posted: 13 Jun 2020 09:36 PM PDT

So I went looking for the alchemist's dream III after reaching the minimum level, and couldn't find it. I think it might've gotten confiscated weeks ago and I was wondering if there's a chest somewhere where I can get it back, since there doesn't seem to be a way to get another one

    Immersion breaking “Take care now”

    Posted: 13 Jun 2020 11:12 PM PDT

I am really loving the experience but this one thing though very tiny seems needless and immersion breaking

Most of the time when I am done talking to a character, they say take care now at the end of dialog. Even if they are really angry at Henry. Did anyone else experience this?
