Well, I know which faction I'll be wiping out first, darn Cumans!

    Posted: 20 Apr 2020 02:04 AM PDT

A detail I noticed that seems to be overlooked.

    Posted: 20 Apr 2020 09:00 AM PDT

When Sir Radzig escapes from the castle, everyone including him say that the Cumans seemed terrified of the storm and ran away back into their trenches and camps.

This is mentioned I believe 3 times and never really talked about again, and this background detail is when I realized just how well-educated the Warhorse studio seems to be.

Cumans are an Altaic horse tribe, and the most widespread religion among Altaic horse nomads, are Islam and Tengrism.

Tengri, the Sky god, in their religion has a way to communicate his rage to his followers, and that is through thunderstorms.

In fact, great Temujin famously relied on this known fear of thunder among his fellow Mongols to take advantage and win many battles by using this to take them by surprise, after training his own Mongols to not fear the thunder. Before Temujin trained them, Mongols held a deep terror for thunder, and that trait is passed on to all who follow the Tengri religion, including Cumans.

So this small detail got me really excited, as soon as I heard it, I immediately felt that if anyone can be trusted to simulate the medieval world, it's Warhorse. What makes it so much better is that it's a background detail, almost slipped in there as a treat for people who are into history and eastern religions.

This sure is a big horse.

Cumans? They will bow to me. Not only did I just kill the entire population of Skalitz before they even arrived, but I trapped their souls in this cursed place, their voices can still be heard.

The Hunt Begins: New Clues. Issue

    Posted: 20 Apr 2020 08:10 AM PDT

So more than likely I've progressed too fast and I'm not really even that far in the game. The quest posted in the title was going great, easy stuff. Until I came across the 2 bandits in the woods. The one that's wounded and asking the other to finish him off. I tried fighting this guy about 30 times last night and I can't budge his health. So...

Should I reload an older save and do more training or is this a bug? Keep in mind I'm not very strong at all. I'll be more than happy to slow down in soak more of this beautiful game in. Just making sure it's not glitched. I'm decent with a sword I just don't have the knock down power perhaps. Idk.

are there any effective ways to fight large groups of People?

    Posted: 20 Apr 2020 02:25 AM PDT

i joined subreddit only a few moments ago and i started to play the game a few weeks ago

although i love the game i really suck at it. im pretty ok at 1v1 but when i fight 2 or more people i will 99% of the time lose, i think its beceuse of the targeting system? so when im looking at one i cant block the other... are there any ways i wont get my ass handed to me by a few peasents with litteraly no armor

I think Kingdom Come's next protagonist should be Hans

    Posted: 19 Apr 2020 10:44 PM PDT

Personally, I think Henry is very unlikely to be the protagonist of the sequel. I think he will definitely be a big part of it, but having a fully upgraded character at the start of the game would kind of ruin the experience. And I don't like the idea of starting off Henry from scratch again, it would make all the time you spent leveling your character in the first game meaningless if he's just going to reset.

I want Hans to be the main protagonist because, as far as we've seen, he's about as good as Henry when he first started training with Bernard. That would be a great starting point for a character. It would give us access to more abilities at the start of the game, because Hans already knows how to fight with a sword and use a bow; but he's clearly no master at it. It would also entice new players who were put off as starting at level 0 to buy the game.

There is also a tremendous ammount of potential for role playing and character growth as well. Hans barely changes at all throughout the entire game. He becomes friendlier, but that's about it. We're constantly reminded that no ones very thrilled at the prospect of him becoming lord of Rattay. This would be the perfect chance for him to be molded into a respectable, competent, and wise lord.

The game could start off with something going wrong for him on the way to their destination were Hans is seperated from Henry and the rest of their troop for a while. In this time he has to start from zero. No armor, no weapons, nothing. No one knows who he is and he cant just go around shouting his name and position because then he'd probably be held captive and sold for a ransom. He has to live like a peasant and learn what it means to really fight for your survival. You could level him however you want, but at the end he comes out of it a smarter, stronger, and more respectable man, who returns to Rattay ready to learn how to properly govern and defend it.

Cannot open inventory or map after alt tabbing

    Posted: 20 Apr 2020 07:43 AM PDT

    Hello,

I love Kingdom come, it is an amazing game and after my recent pc upgrade I feel like I am in the game itself, sometimes after playing too long my room even smells like medieval Bohemia!

But some things do pull me into a little bout of frustration. One of those things is the fact that after I alt+tab 'sometimes' I cannot load my inventory, map or any other thing related to that anymore. This is quite a bit annoying, I only have one screen and an I alt-tab quite a bit to keep up with the latest corona memes.

    Anyone care to help?

How to do the monetary quest (Guide)

    Posted: 20 Apr 2020 07:10 AM PDT

Hello fellow knights! as you may have know you have just been trying this rrrrrrealllly cool quest called "Needle in a haystack" but as soon as you realize this quest is so buggy even the doors wont open and the whole thing is so damn boring even jesus himself glad he was dead before he got to play this quest. so here I am your fellow lazy gamer found the fastest and laziest way to do it! let me explain it to you but first let me make some points.

    • this way will make you fail all the side quest, but who cares they are even more boring than the main quest. I mean, find 10 pages? what tf am i playing? Slender-man?
    • this will contain some spoilers.
    • if you are not okay with me cursing or my way to present this guide with humor you can go to yourass.com and file your complaint there

    perks and skills needed:

the one that lets you stealth kill, some lockpick real life skills

    a little dictionary for you:

    virgin/s = monk/s, novice monk/s

now i will make this guide step-by-step, so lets do it!

step 1) before starting entering the monastery via virgin porter who takes your stuff, go to any place you can sleep in permanently (Rattay, Talmberg, Rattay Mill etc) not in any inn whatsoever, and store ALL of you stuff there in your personal chest which usually near your bed. because if you would like your things back after all this without storing it there well go to the nearby glory hole and have a shift because you can forget about it.

step 2) go to sasau and meet virgin porter and tell him you would like to join the virgin squad as well. and get that shiny new virgin armor.

step 3) after that reject virgin antonious and tell him that you'll manage on your own.

step 4) go behind that painting in the praying party room and there you'll find a lock pick, be sure to be good at lock picking 'cause this is your only one.

step 5) go to the bedroom, and search for a drawer with a hard difficulty lock and open it. it is found between two sack beds if I remember correctly, you are supposed to find a dagger there. steal it without anyone looking and make sure you do it BEFORE bedtime

step 6) just go to sleep and save progress until 12 AM and wakey wakey your journey begins

optional: after you wake up go through the door to the 2nd floor praying room and to the left there will be a chest, lock pick it and get a torch, believe me you want to.

step 7) go to the dining room and from there to the kitchen, make sure not to wake nor be seen by anyone.

step 8) go to the door ahead of you and from the left you see shelves on the top middle shelf there should be the monastery key, which is your key out

step 9) go back to the bedroom and sleep for 1 hour and save yo progress.

step 10) find sleeping virgin antonious and give him some love with that dagger you found stealthy, and steal his dice unless you like anal and but stuff because not showing the dice to the bandits will give you a decent ass fuck

step 11) RUN TO ANY EXIST whether you were seen or not, but if you were seen try again by loading the save you just did by sleeping. by this point you should've already completed the quest and failed the other ones.

step 12) dont close the door exist to give that place a good middle finger before you leave, hop on horse and off you go to where you stored your stuff.

step 13) get your shiny stuff and throw your virgin armor somewhere

step 14) go to the cool bandit gang campsite and set a camp to show the dice. andddd YOURE DONE!

Is there any way to add music to the game alongside the original?

    Posted: 20 Apr 2020 02:54 AM PDT

As much as i LOVE the OST to this game it can become very very repetive after a while. Turning music off in settings kinda ruins the games immersion if a particular piece of music is played for the story. Any ideas if theres a mod to add music alongside?

What would you guys feel about removing saviour schnapps?

    Posted: 19 Apr 2020 11:27 PM PDT

So I personally think that if we would increase the automatic saves by missions and all that, and removed saviour schnapps it would create the idea where you actually have to think if you want to try rob someone and take the risk of being caught and you can't reverse it without going back to the beginning of the mission/ end of last mission. But at the same time it won't be super frustrating since you can sleep every night and we add a bit more save points so at the absolute most you will go 16hrs back which is 64 real minutes so it's not completely devestating and too frustrating too lose your progress.

    Thoughts?

Tldr : remove saviour schnapps, add more save points= more thinking
