Posted: 28 Feb 2020 06:30 AM PST I just wanted to point out a few ways to make money in this game, because I find that a lot of people struggle with it. Let me just say that the fastest and easiest way I found to make money is to steal the shops at rattay sell everything to the miller, wait around 4 days and rob his chest, which will have around 50k-90k depending on what you stole. If you wanna do some "legit" ways I would invest in alchemy, you will need to learn how to read, which is fairly easy, and you will need the marigold potion, it's the easiest one to make until you can auto-brew potions. You can also hunt if you are good with a bow, meat gives you a lot of money, no doubt about it. Hunting cumans and bandits camps for their loot and ears are also a good source of money. Clearing skalitz it's also a good source of money. And hunting the treasure maps are also a good source of money, you will need a horse, a spade and a fairly high lockpicking skill, there are guides online with the locations Hope it helped Edit: Actually, playing dice it's not a bad ideia either, specially if you got the Lucifer set. You can get them from the treasure maps, one from the pilgrim that tells you riddles and from some of the people that plays dice. [link] [comments]
I'm feeling overwhelmed starting the game Posted: 28 Feb 2020 01:45 AM PST I was an early early backer but then a torrent of glitzy AAA action titles took my attention. I played through the first act and woke up at the bakers. I've been stumbling around just free roaming for hours trying to get some money but I think I need to follow the main quest a bit as I have triggered the stolen goods network and the dovecot treasure which I think I need a bit more stealth and lockpicking for. The question is when does the main quest level me up enough to go wandering? I've just embarked on the hunting trip. [link] [comments]

Speech options should not make the game less fun Posted: 28 Feb 2020 04:55 AM PST Just a short rant, because I am mildly irate about this. My friend and I recently picked up the game each, and been sharing stories of our adventures as we go. It's been an absolute blast. However, I discovered that I missed a great sequence simply due to having a high Speech stat. I'm a little further ahead of my friend, and have already completed the Mysterious Ways quest. During this quest, you need to get some information out a priest. I have high speech, so persuaded him to give it to me. He told me what I needed to know and I went on my way, none the wiser to what I just missed out on (I'm sure many of you know what I'm talking about). Today my friend excitedly told me he got to that quest and how much fun it was. I was confused and asked what he was talking about. Did some googling and discovered that my persuasion success skipped a sequence that many players highlight throughout there play. I'm pissed. This highlights just how badly so many games miss the mark with speech/charisma mechanics. It seems like it's only ever used as a way to skip gameplay and potentially fun sequences, and it just sucks. Why should I have a less fun experience than my friend just because I'm leveling my speech stat? Like any mechanic, Speech should be used to provide players more options, not just skip sections of the game. I love this game, but that has pissed me off. I'm now wary about using persuasion ever again in case I miss something cool again. Thanks for listening to my rant. (I still love you Warhorse) [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Feb 2020 02:02 AM PST New player here with a bit of confusion. During the 'Train Hard, Fight Easy' quest I beat Hans Capon in the archery competition and then we dueled. He knocked me out but as the last blow hit I landed a hit on him and he also fell. The next cutscene he seemed visibly confused and took the bow off me but ended up giving me money as compensation. I've been checking the quest walkthroughs and I can't find anything about this. Has anyone else had this happen? [link] [comments]

Posted: 27 Feb 2020 08:52 PM PST I'm currently in the woods with Lord Capon and I feel like I am obligated to face some cumans in the nearby region. Do I have to face them now? Are there alternative solutions to engaging these guys? [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Feb 2020 06:55 AM PST Hey everyone, I'm 100% new to modding. I really want to use this mod & merge it with instant picking, trough washing deluxe, Definitive Repair Kit (replace SirBacktee's w/ this), Better Sorted Inventory, Lockpicking Overhaul (using an xbox controller & lockpicking is @$$), and unlimited saving. Not sure which mods conflict with each other. Got kcd from epicgames. After reading a bunch of comments on various mod posts in Nexus, I've come across a couple things: notepad++, rpg_param.xml file, cmd prompt window & user.cfg file. I've also seen different things regarding installing mods. Some mods seem to work through manual installation while others seem to need users to open the cmd prompt window /devfiles? Is user.cfg the same as the cmd prompt? I don't have any knowledge of scripting language to determine if the changes can be safely merged together, or how to adjust the code for them to coexist. I know I need to inspect all the files and compare where the differences/changes are. I also want to update some mods, is the process the same as listed here? Checked out the official modding tools and my eyes bled trying to make sense of it all. [link] [comments] |
