When Theresa found out I been fucking bathhouse hos

I killed all the men in the initial chase scene :)

    Posted: 30 Dec 2019 04:52 PM PST

At the mission RUN! Right when you're given Radzig's sword, and where you interrupt those men... having a conversation with Theresa... I got on the horse and killed every single Cuman. (This is the second time I've done it.)

    Here's how:

First I spent the first three hours of game play picking every flower in Skalitz. Besides netting me about 200 grochen, due to the Leg Day perk, I also gained about 5 Strength. (This also gets you 2 vitality from picking all the nettles.)

Second, I spent half an hour getting my sword Skill to 6 hitting the Master Trainer guy. As along as you don't combo, you can keep hitting him for a while.

Third, I got my defense Skill up to four by dodging and blocking against the guy who owes you tools.

Basically though, if you have the timing down, hitting someone on foot from horseback is OP. All the Cumans chasing you are are on foot. It's easy enough to ride past them around the small bend repeatedly hitting soldiers once or twice per pass, being careful to dodge clumps of men so they don't knock you off your steed. There is a bend in the trail to the south: this bend allows you to get out of view for their arrows, as most of them have bows.

Several of the soldiers chase you, aND you can lead them away a bit to kill the stationary ones. Once you've killed a couple you can hop off your horse briefly (after leading the enemies away) to pick up their armor and weapons. This makes the arrows much less dangerous.

Continue until you've killed them all, pick up all the loot. Walk around at max weight for a while until you can sell some/set it down.

I feel accomplished. It took me about 10 tries.

(activating dlcs) Fresh start or keep playing on older savegame?

    Posted: 31 Dec 2019 05:52 AM PST

    Hello folks,

I started years ago this magnificent game, and stop in the middle of the story : I wanted to wait for all the DLC to come out, and just have one nice playthrough (I simply dont like to play several time the same story)

So here is my question : I just added the 4/5 dlcs. I am installing the game right now again, on steam, and I am ready to go back where i left.

BUT : should I restart all of it (even If I would like to avoid it, really)

    - are DLCS correctly being added to older savegames?

    - are patches/updates/corrections correctly added to older savegames?

..or do I HAVE to restart all of it, to enjoy all the improvements and contents from the final version/patches...?

Thanks to all, and enjoy this new year :)

Anyone else try a good honorable knight play through to realize 6 hours later you're a kleptomaniac serial killer?

Did they ever make pole-arm weapons more... user friendly?

    Posted: 31 Dec 2019 01:33 AM PST

I haven't played since close to launch, thinking of playing it again and finishing it this time.

Wanna use pole-arms, but I remember them being super annoying to use, since you'd just drop them on the ground when you tried stowing them, and people would react negatively when you had your weapons out... the combination making using pole-arms weirdly complicated.

It's like playing a Malkavian in VTM Bloodlines, or something.

If not, do any popular mods tackle this issue?

    Vent: Bushes suck!

    Posted: 31 Dec 2019 03:43 AM PST

I just lost an hour of progress. Again! This has happened to me three times so far. I'm trying to follow a path on my horse, accidentally go off the path and since the horse is an unstoppable ATV at full speed, I'll go over a bush into a bush patch and get stuck. Rarely will I be able to force my way out.

This is my first playthrough of the game. I haven't completed nest of vipers yet, but that's my current quest.

Anyways I just don't understand why Bushes are solid objects like they are. It really pisses me off.

I've heard there are mods for this game, maybe one if them will fix this for me before I lose interest in this game altogether.

    Walking animation glitch?

    Posted: 31 Dec 2019 07:22 AM PST

I had this game back around launch, but there was this halberd physics bug causing screen shaking and managed to get a refund from GOG despite having played the game for over 10h.

Back to today, I repurchased the game on steam (PC) winter sale (assuming it's also decently patched by now). Everything seems great except one thing:

When I run or walk and I look down at my feet - the animation is absurdly slow, like ridiculous slow motion - basically I cross half of village while one step animation completes.

Is this a bug or I should not see my feet / look at my feet? Is this something I will have to live with? I honestly can't remember if something like that was happening when I previously owned the game.

EDIT: nvm, it was headbobing mod cause this. Missed that in mod description. All good now.

Found cabin in the woods with dead (female ) people in game

    Posted: 31 Dec 2019 01:00 AM PST

I also found the hunting 3 book if memory serves me right. But I wanna find the sob doing this and hunt him down. I stayed a whole day in game and no one showed so how do I find the perp or where do I get the quest to find him. Is there a quest?. Honestly with the cabin there it seems too easy to have something for it to ignore it. Even if it's a simple stake out followed by the killer ( random (maybe named) villager) noticing you and running for it. Who you could then either chase down and kill or find him before he leaves his village for good to escape.

Hi, I bought this game yesterday and I have 3 problems: -flickering shadows -grass and trees popping in -small drawing distance of objects I know that there are commands to fix it but when I restart the game I have to write them again.

Does crouching chameleon do anything if your stealth is already at 20?

    Posted: 30 Dec 2019 07:36 PM PST

The perk increases your stealth by 30%, but being that stats dont go passed 20, does that mean its a useless perk at max stealth?
