Why are peasants wielding sticks able to Master Strike a blow from a Strength 25 Henry?

    Posted: 27 Dec 2019 12:21 AM PST

Combat in this game is great, until it isn't.

Peasants in general, and the majority of bandits, shouldn't know anything about effective ripostes, let alone master striking.

In the same vein, holding shift to switch targets invariably, without fail, gets me tackled and immediately killed by medium/high bandits or cumans, even if I only press shift to unlock myself from the current target instead of holding it to run away.

Edit: strength 20 but I have buffs so unless my understanding of skills is incorrect, it's essentially 25

Kingdom Come Deliverance and its creative reading mechanic.

    Posted: 26 Dec 2019 06:32 PM PST

I love how you start the game not knowing how to read. Just today I got around to doing the "Mightier than Sword" quest to learn how to do it, and I didn't expect to have words like all scrambled and stuff. It's actually really cool.

After doing the quest and having Henry know how to read, I actually read a few of the in-game books, and I like how the words are still mixed up so it's actually hard for me to read, like it would be for Henry.

I like this. I think it encourages players to actually read the books in the game, unlike in, let's say the Elder Scrolls games where the books are just kinda there, without any reason for you to read them.

Buy on PS4 or aging PC?

    Posted: 27 Dec 2019 06:49 AM PST

Short and simple, I'm wondering if I should buy it on my PS4 or PC. My PC would be judged as acceptable...when I built it 4 years ago. It has an AMD R9 380 so that should be context enough.

So...better to go for PS4 or push it with my PC?

To note: I have the first PS4 model.

    NEW PLAYER EXPERIENCE

    Posted: 26 Dec 2019 04:48 PM PST

Well, I want to share my experience with the game in the 34 hours that I have played (I know is not that much). Firts of all, I'm 30 years old, and I do not consider my self a hardcore gamer, I'm most a casual; my experience with this tipe of games so far was Skyrim a few years a go and Fallout 4, bot on the the PS4. But this christmas I decide to buy a gamer laptop, a really god one I think; and the description of the game really cath my atention and I think it was cheap (I buy the game on steam with all the DLC's). So far in the game I have make a few side quest (A really fun ones) and defeated the first boss, Tapon. When it come to the combat, I have not mastered yet, but I understan how it works, and I really like it, the battle with Tapon was kinda hard but it feel so good; and the history of the maine quest is really fun, so far I love it, and I love the characters; I understand and share the motivationz of Henry, I respect Sir Radzig and love Theresa. The world is amazing, thou is mostly forest and hills, It dosent feel boring, is really charming and fun to explore. Any way, I'm really happy with the game and really exiting for wath it comes. Thanks and sorry for my english, it is not may main lenguage.

    Hidden Perks

    Posted: 27 Dec 2019 05:57 AM PST

So we know about the hidden vitality perk from picking all those poisonous herbs, but recently I discovered I had a hidden main level perk called Cuman slayer.

Regardless of what they do, does anybody else know of any other hidden perks and how to get them/what they do ?

Do guards take your stolen items when you surrender?

    Posted: 26 Dec 2019 08:08 PM PST

I have some guards chasing me because I knocked out the executioner in Rattay and I have a bunch of stolen stuff. If I surrender and go to jail will they take my stuff?

Regarding the Abbots Room in the Sasau Monastery

    Posted: 26 Dec 2019 07:39 PM PST

I've scoured a few other online sources and nothing's really helped me, so I've come to the most reliable place on the internet, a subreddit full of total dorks.

Is there a key to the Abbots room? It seems weird to me that there are two side-quests related with this location, and yet it cannot be accessed without being a Level 14 Lockpicker. Surely there's another way?

I've just finished KCD yesterday, loved it, but goddamn is the ending annoying.

    Posted: 26 Dec 2019 02:41 PM PST

Like you build up all this hype that you're going to kill this bald mofo and then you don't. Same with Istvan Toth, at least give me the damn sword back.

I really loved the game. You need patience but it's really good, I think we all know that but the ending to the main story is something I really didn't like. Tbh basically everything that happened after you entered Vranik was weird and felt rushed. Like for example Radzig being your father was so pointless in the end as well tbh.
