The Music in this game is some of the best I've ever experienced (as I was reminded in a recent post by /u/henrytheknight) but what other music reminds you of this game?

[Spoilers] Which dialogue gave you the most laughs?

    Posted: 23 Dec 2019 09:30 PM PST

In the courtship of Theresa I had to chuckle at some of the later dialogue options.

After some charming and original romance scenes (and then porking her), Henry can visit a week later with nothing more than "Can you mend my clothes?" and "I've come for Mutt", followed by leaving her without another word.

    Who said romance was dead?

    The Beauty of Character Development

    Posted: 23 Dec 2019 04:55 PM PST

So I just recently got the game after watching a few videos about it and I'm in love.

I love how when you start you're useless in a sword fight until you actually bother training but even then you're mediocre until you learn the nuances of medieval combat yourself.

The combat feels uncomfortable and challenging, wearing visored helmets limit vision and give you a trade off for protection. The stress and unease during combat is amazing against equal opponents. Even when equipped in plate a group of seven peasants will still mop the floor with you if you rush in.

But most importantly, just because you're decked out in plate doesn't mean you're Hercules, you're just a peasant who won't get the shit smacked out of him within two hits

Which launcher is associated with the physical game disk?

    Posted: 24 Dec 2019 02:34 AM PST

I want to buy the Royal edition for me and my friend for Christmas (Jesus Christ be praised). I want to get it from my local retailer in physical form. Is the game connected to some sort of launcher, like Steam or GOG? This would make future downloads much easier.

    Beginners question

    Posted: 23 Dec 2019 11:51 AM PST

I have picked up KCD on steam sale and I have few questions:

-Do I have to keep my Noise stat at zero to successfully sneak around?

-I suppose that horse is endgame buddy and I have to walk around running erands right?

    - Do I have to walk around with diffrent set of outfits to blend in?

    - Can I somehow make contrabands mine so that guard wont take it away?

    - There isnt a dialogue line to a guard that I dont have freaking torch at night?

    - how much should I care about time limit on quest? Should I take like 5 of them and do them or less?

    in advance thx for answears.

I need to know everything about the dog companion.

    Posted: 23 Dec 2019 10:56 PM PST

Just getting back into the game, started a new save. Apparently you can get a dog now?!?!??! I know that you need A Woman's Lot DLC to get this, so I have questions. Do you need to complete the DLC to get the dog option for Henry? Do you need to pass a certain point in the story to trigger the dog option for Henry? Can you have the dog follow and unfollow you at will, and if you have it unfollow you where does it go?

    Why is combat so difficult?

    Posted: 23 Dec 2019 03:17 PM PST

over 100 hours in the game, and I still absolutely suck at it. yeah, can cheese pretty much any situation with the bow but other weapons not so much. Either the enemies are easy, or whack whack whack and 75% of my health is suddenly gone. The timing strikes don't seem to do much since they easily interrupt or worse, riposte. I can't pull off any of the combos. Is using a mouse the problem? I guess it just seems that the character is never doing what I want him to do.

    PC Controls?

    Posted: 23 Dec 2019 05:36 PM PST

How do the PC controls compare to the controls for console version? Stupid question I know since 90% of games have better controls on PC. But since this has a somewhat unique combat style thought I'd look into a bit more. Rented it for PS4 last year but couldn't even get past first fight when guy wouldn't pay. Just didn't click with me. Seems he just blocked everything and whenever I did him him it didn't seem to have any effect even after multiple hits. Any easier with mouse and keyboard?
