    Question about looting

    I started playing on game pass and really liked it. I did not get too far, wanted the dlc so I ended up getting the royal edition. I'm starting over on hardcore and my plan was not to loot anyone. Mainly because I was able to loot plate armor so easy last time, but also it seems like a good Henry would not go around looting corpses.

    Anyway, will I be missing a lot of content by doing this? Are any quests started from finding items on people? Also I'm guessing I'll miss unique items?

    Favorite/Least favorite town?

    I personally cannot stand Sasau. The big cheese, whatever the fuck they call him, is a total dick. The healing the sick quest line was a bore. To be fair I'm not very far in the main quest (just found Reeky) but I'm not digging Sasau. Rattay is like a second home. Good people, the town layout is simple and very easy to navigate. Talmberg is also growing on me albeit the lack of shops is annoying.

    Is endgame combat just master strikes and flinches?

    I'm pretty late in my game, Henry already has a few stats and skills at 20 but it seems that any enemy that knows how to master strike has pretty much perfect reaction to any attack and the only way to effectively defeat them is through master strikes or flinching and getting a hit or two.

    If I faint I might be able to hit them once without them master striking me back. They will still block and any follow up is almost guarateed that they will master strike me.

    A four hit combo would be able to hurt them but it's just impossible to land those.

    Chaining strikes to deplete their stamina also seems impossible. They will block and master strike me back regardless of faiting and trying to attack from an angle they aren't guarding. Or they will just as easily dodge and break the combo.

    So any time I try to be on the offensive I get punished by getting master striked back. So the only way to reliably fight late game enemies is to just stand there and wait for them to attack me because now I'm the one that can master strike them.

    Is this really it or am I being dumb?

    System reboots after save and quit or just quit. Saves lost.

    Hey guys I keep having crashes that occasionally reboot my entire system upon quitting the game. All my saves from the time of loading to quitting get wiped and it only keeps the save from the last successful quit. Specs as follows

    Infinite loading screen?

    I recently just got this game and I'm having a blast. The minor little bugs haven't bothered me yet except this one. So I was doing the mission The Prey. Just walking along Hans Capon's horse to the hunting grounds talking to him and thinking he's not so bad maybe. It fast travels to the camp up north and when we arrive, he's just walking his horse into the fence not going around. Okay, no big deal. I just walked away and came back he was where he was supposed to be.

    I hunt the hares, he shot the boar and I find him tied up at some camp. I walk up to him to untie him and a loading screen happens. I wait and wait. So I look it up, and I guess this is thing that can happen sometimes? It just gets stuck in a loading screen. This one glitch really made me upset. I have to do most of this all again? It's not a short mission. This game is nearly perfect but this keeps me from really sinking my time into.

    I have a savior schnapps, but I like to save those. My Henry is very poor right now. I'll just have to drink that right before I untie him next time. I wish I would have known about this. Anyway, that's my rant. Still love almost everything about this game though.

    Need help with nest of vipers

    I cannot sneak in the camp anyway without getting seen and killed. I hear you can get a cumin disguise, but I cant find any anywhere.

    If I do the battle without sabotaging I get completely rekt by the archers and my god damn bow shakes so much I can't do anything!!

    Playing with the Devil quest just... fails?

    I'm doing this quest and it reaches a point where I'm supposed to interject, however I'd like to stay a virgin so I just sit back and do nothing. Then the quest fails and the women start walking back home.

    According to this thread I'm supposed to see a couple of Bandits appear, but they don't.

    Is the quest just completely broken? I'd like to be able to at least complete it, but I want to get the virgin achievement so stepping in isn't really an appealing option.

    I still can't get passed the Baptism of Fire

    I still get "too many of your men have died." I have tried everything found related to this problem but as other people say it counts bandits as my allies so when they die I get the too many of your men have died thing. Can someone help me?

    Some of the things I tried:
    -Going back to My friend Timmy and killing bandits
    -Doing the quest without using any mods or trainers
    -resetting reputation to default using console
    -using cheat tables to decrease my reputation

    So I was learning to read early-game so I could brew my own saviour's schnapps, and since it was so early I was using a stolen horse. I finished my lessons, mounted my horse, immediately was reported by a random villager who saw me mount up. I killed both the town guards and figured I might as well do some pillaging while I'm at it. Fast forward 15 minutes and two thousand Groschen, and I'm left with two questions.

    A. Will this affect my reputation in other cities?

    B. The tavern keeper in unkillable, is he important for a quest or something?

    Need help with combat

    Hello guys, I'm a new player and wanted to play this game for a while now. I knew it's a pretty hard game (combat) but I have huge problems with just even one enemy.

    I'm trying to practice with Bernard for probably an hour now and I still suck. :(

    I can't do any combos or perfect blocks, it's just so hard to block in the right moment. I feel like the attacks are super fast. Im playing on Ps4 if that's important.

    Thanks for any tips and advices, I really enjoy this game.

    This game man..

    Picked this game up over the weekend and put some hours into it. I'm not far at all into it but had something happen to me tonight that stunned me a bit.

    Was doing the nightingale quest where you get the birds and got ambushed by a bandit in black. I traded a few hits with him but had to run because his buddies came (I get slaughtered by 1 enemy let alone 2/3). Finished my quest and fast travelled to Rattay when I get the "Lost and Found" quest. I go back to the bandit camp to finish them off and realise it's a part of one of the bandit clearing camps - only issue is the bandit leader is already dead so I can't turn it in.

    At first I wrote it off as the game being buggy but my curiosity made me go break into the house for the "Lost and Found" quest. Turns out the quest item was in there so I could go and turn it in.

    Now either one of two things happened: the game bugged and the bandit somehow died OR the fight I thought nothing of while doing the nightingale quest lead to the bandit leader I fought with eventually bleeding to death meaning the reason I couldn't kill the bandit leader was because I'd already killed him earlier...

    Guys was this just a bug that's made me love the game or did I genuinely just make a bandit leader bleed to death on accident?

    My friend timmy (help)

    So...during the my friend timmy main quest i chose money when morcock asked for directions...i watched them kill timmy and then we met up at the tavern and i got the money.Morcock asked if i wanted to do a task for him and i said no.Now my current objective is to Find the bandits' camp.
    The only problem here is i don't know where the bandit camp is and im still on the quest My Friend Timmy
