    I can't understand master strike/riposte

    I've been checking forums, youtube videos, yet I cannot get it. Is master strike/riposte the same?

    Until about 10 minutes ago I thought master strike is done by a perfect block and attacking after (basically a harder assassin's creed black flag combat system).

    Now I'm at Bernard and I've realized that I have just to press Q at the right time in order for Henry to do a masterstrike. That being said, it's actually very hard to do it. I've succeeded to do it only about 15-20% of the time.

    Therefore, I have two questions:

    1. Is riposte/master strike the same? From what I understand, riposte is done by a perfect block and attack and master strike is done by pressing Q(block button) RIGHT when the shield appears and the window to get it done is EXTREMELY low. Is this right?
    2. Will masterstrike become easier later? What skills influence it?

    LAST WARNING! MAJOR END GAME STORY SPOILERS AHEAD!

    When outside Deutsch's house in the introduction Matthew tells Henry "Fire that trebuchet!" to tell him to throw manure at the house... This an obvious foreshadow to how Henry fires the trebuchet at the end of the game. I seriously can't get through the damn introduction without seeing a million references to the later story of this game.

    60 or 75? Been playing the game for a bit now and just realized I can change this but not sure what the benefits are of each or which one to go with?

    I play on ps4 so can't go above 75.
