    My first 100k, nice

The Cyberpunk 2077 delay just gave me more time to finish this game! Great for the busy people who only get an hour or two here and there to play.

    Posted: 30 Oct 2020 09:49 AM PDT

I've neglected KCD for years and keep chasing after frivolous pursuits.

Excited that I'll have enough time to finish the main quest and a few side quests before Cyberpunk comes out!

Currently smashing plebs in the Rattay tourney to grind gold to spam savior schnapps.

Then Henry just gambles it all away playing dice. My wife loves / hates it.

    This is the meta right?

After I got the butcher perk, the loot from the hare I hunted myself counts as stolen. Any idea on how I deal with this?

KCD2 4k upgrade for next gen consoles...

    Posted: 30 Oct 2020 01:24 AM PDT

Call this a petition if you want but how many of you would love to get a 4k version for consoles on next gen systems ? upvote it if you would love to see an upgraded version, a remake, whatever, just since there has been zero mention of KCD2 it'd be awesome to at least get an enhanced edition for next gen! i'd even be willing to part with $30 or $40 for a decent overhaul of the game.

Mod Shoutout: Better Combat and Immersion Compilation

    Posted: 30 Oct 2020 08:01 AM PDT

Lurker here, had to make an account because I just couldn't give this mod enough credit - Better Combat and Immersion Compilation. I am doing my second playthrough of this wonderful game and decided to try hardcore mode (first playthrough was before this existed). I chose Tapeworm and Consumption as my two permanent debuffs. I was really happy with hardcore mode, but as niche as this sounds, there were still some exploits and concepts from normal mode that did not make the experience as immersive and realistic as I hoped for:

    • Eating and sleeping was still not hindering me (even with Tapeworm)
    • Player and horse carry weight unchanged (unrealisitc amounts of hoarding and looting armor from bandits)
    • Over-powered and one-shotting enemies starting in the late game (*cough* master strikes *cough*)
    • UI elements still present

Better Combat and Immersion Compilation seeks to improve realism and immersion by making the game tougher, a real challenge quite fitting for a hardcore medieval survival and role-playing experience. There are many awesome changes, some of my favourites are:

    • More realistic combat: more enemy aggression, more localized damage, no more clinch-strike exploit and general balance changes to defence, AR and health
    • Must mirror enemy stance to perform master strike: no more master strike cheesing and exploits from both players and NPCs; get punished for attacking in the mirrored zone! Focus instead on perfect block and attempting combos
    • Injuries take longer to recover from
    • Potions heal over longer periods of time
    • No HUD and map UI, no more discovering landmarks to assist where situating yourself even in hardcore mode
    • Nerfed player and horse carry weight
    • Harsher economy
    • Eating and sleeping more necessary

As you can probably tell, this mod is not for the faint of heart, but is an incredibly rewarding and challenging experience. I cannot recommend this enough, and encourage everyone to try it out. I can't list all changes here, but make sure to give the mod page a good read through if this intrigues you. There are also great complimentary mods to go alongside this awesome mod:

These mods all together create an awesome and hardcore survival and role-playing experience in such a realistic and wonderful game. Be warned, it is hard but incredibly rewarding and thrilling. Be well prepared and don't pick a fight unless you are well equipped and skilled. A lot of combat exploits and tactics I see used simply do not work anymore.

    Archery

    Posted: 30 Oct 2020 06:47 AM PDT

Folks, I know Archery in this game is something of an ummm... interesting learning curve, I could do with some advice. I know once you get to level 5 Henry is basically doing everything wrong, my issues is what's the best way to get to level 5 that doesn't involve trying to distance fight bandits with Henry's shaky hands? Or trying to shoot Hares who move constantly. I saw a suggestion of shooting domestic animals (pigs, chickens, and cows) but if anyone has any advice that doesn't risk so much reputation and bounty I'd appreciate it. I'm also on PS4 so I can't console command the reticle in

Is the campaign map accurate to real locations or the whole thing made up for the game

    Posted: 29 Oct 2020 08:10 PM PDT

Is this game worth playing through on Hardcore mode? Is it fun? It seems slightly sadistic, the game seems hard enough as it is.

Are the DLC's worth it ?

    Posted: 29 Oct 2020 05:26 PM PDT

    My fellow bohemians,

After a first run on the game a while ago, I'm considering giving KCD another shot.

I don't own the DLC's and was wondering it they were really worth it. While I really loved the immersion and one on one combat, I think KCD is still a bugged game with a questionable AI and other aspects that can feel unfinished (more details here).

In short, do you recommend them ?

    Infinite loading glitch [YAY!!!]

    Posted: 30 Oct 2020 01:27 AM PDT

    Hello

I have KCD on Epic Games and have been enjoying it a lot.

Few days I encountered an infinite loading glitch after delivering "The Musk of Infinite Allure" to Sir Capon. When I go to his door to pick him up, so I can help him with reciting poetry, cutscene launches and after a fraction of a second, it goes to a black screen and starts loading infinitely.

    My KCD version is 1.9.6.404-504fk

I have tried going there at different times, but nothing worked.

I haven't installed any mods, or encountered any issues before this.

Is there any way to fix this?

If not maybe there is a way to skip the quest or mark it as completed?

    Please help.

    Thanks in advance.

    It's on PC

    Need help finding DLC maps

    Posted: 29 Oct 2020 06:52 PM PDT

Just redeemed the code, the Ancient maps should be in my shared chest right? Not sure where they are, I just got back into the game and they aren't anywhere, checked the DLC and nope I have it purchased and downloaded, not sure what could have happened. Never touched them

    Dreaded All That Glisters

    Posted: 29 Oct 2020 03:58 PM PDT

    Hello,

(PS4) I got to the point in which I duel the Knight by the pond, I did not kill him but I carried on hitting him when he seemed to surrender.. he then ran away across the field, at the speed of light, disappeared. I have tried to find him back at the inn but he's no where to be found.

I then got distracted finding treasure and killing lots of bandits etc etc hours, days of gameplay. However, I want to carry on the main story now but I realise I can't. The quest is still active but there are no tasks or markers. I have no idea what to do! Other than going back to a very old save or just starting again, which I can't face. I suppose I may just be stuck in story limbo forever?

Some questions about "From the Ashes" DLC

    Posted: 29 Oct 2020 03:05 PM PDT

Hi everyone, just having this quick question. Sorry if I can't explain what I mean clearely, english isn't my first language and I haven't played in a long time.

    1. Once I have everything set up and my village running and making income, do I have to keep the needed amount of groschen to keep the village working in the chest or can I take everything? (Since you get the money and the villagers take the needed amount at the same time, do I have to always keep enough in the chest or do they automatically take the amount when they pay taxes?)
    2. Is the judge thingy infinite like the tourney or does it end after a while? If it is infinite, do the same stuff gets repeated? (with or without different NPCs?)

    Thanks in advance.

I just finished the game in hardcure. Other than completing side missions, are there any other ways to enjoy the game?
