I met a knight on the road

    Posted: 21 Aug 2020 08:05 AM PDT

He challenged me to a duel and said something about his mum wanting him to go off and be epic or something and find a woman. I explained to him that he should focus on finding a woman and leave the murder of random people to a little later. He agreed and headed off. I wasn't best pleased about the insults he had thrown at young Henry or the cavalier way he was willing to take my life, so I knocked him out and stole half his clothes (he had some sweet armour) and his money. Good luck finding a woman without any trousers, dickhead.

I'm only a few hours in but interactions like this are starting to make me fall in love with the game.

I also visited Bernard to tell him about the bandits trying to kill Ginger. His response was to teleport us to the bandit camp and then murder both of the bandits, one of whom was unarmed save for a torch and was wandering around in his underwear. Suffice to say it was a short fight.

I know I'm late to the party but I'm sure you all have stories of how you fell in love with this game.

    Reminder to turn off vsync

    Posted: 21 Aug 2020 09:06 AM PDT

I've played trough the whole game on medium at 28-30fps, and decided to look at the settings today and went straight up to 85fps.

I now play with everything on very high at 56fps... so if you haven't, do turn off vsync lol

Nightingale has no dice on him when I pickpocket. Anyone know why?

    Posted: 21 Aug 2020 06:18 AM PDT

I read online that he has a few special dice on him, so I followed him to his house, waited till night when hes sleeping, pick pocketed (23 seconds worth) and sifted through every single item. All he had were drinks, food, coins, bandages and thats it. No a single dice.

Anyone know where he stashes them or why he didnt have them on him?

The skill mechanic has to be one of my single favorite mechanics in any game I've ever played

    Posted: 20 Aug 2020 06:09 PM PDT

So I've been making good progress in the game, learned how to sword fight, some horsemanship, a bit of how to read, etc. And it never really dawned on me till later how incredible the skill mechanic is.

When I was first training with Bernard I HATED it. I moved slow, dodged slow, swung my sword like I was in a vat a molasses. I was just like fuck this, no wonder some people really hate this game. But I keep going through it, get into more sword fights and I notice it becomes easier and easier. Not only because I'm starting to understand how to have a sort of flow in combat but because Henry is actually learning how to be a better knight. My aim is improving, my swings are getting faster and more accurate, and my parries are getting easier (though enemies parry like fucking crazy my god).

I mean like... that is so cool. I love shit like that. It legitimately feels like you're learning something from the bottom up. You don't just pick up a sword and twirl it around like a god, it's a skill you have to learn to be good at it. I'm really enjoying this game so far, even if it does become tedious at points. It really makes you feel one with Henry, like you're learning with him. Because the game is absolutely brutal at first, it absolutely kicks you ass at every point it has the opportunity. But the more you try, the easier it gets.

Way to "fast forward" the game/animations?

    Posted: 21 Aug 2020 07:19 AM PDT

Whaddup, it's ya boy with another kingdom come question

Last time playing this game, there was a console command that let you speed up everything happening in the game, which I bound to a key so that I can enable it when using alchemy (I like the potion brewing process alot, it's just that the animations are soooo slow). In the Cheat mod, there is a command called " cheat_set_time_speed ratio: " but it seems to just speed up the rate at which the in-game time changes. Did the original command I use get removed from the game? And if so, is there any mod/command that does something similar, i.e. bind a key to bringing the game to double/triple/xfold speed?

Also since I (hopefully) got your attention, what's up with "In God's Hands" failing halfway through? The rest of the patients you were supposed to help as well as Johanka have disappeared. Did I take too long and they recovered without me?

    Thanks!

KDC Won't start and keeps saying I have to own it to play it (Xbox)

    Posted: 21 Aug 2020 09:57 AM PDT

Everytime I try to load up KDC it says it's had a problem and after it reads that I have to purchase the game to play, yes I'm sure it wasn't a trial, yes I'm sure I installed it and played it completely fine for days I'm pretty geared, it was off a game share and no they didn't change anything because all the other shared games work. Help??

    How to kill the bandit?

    Posted: 21 Aug 2020 09:34 AM PDT

So I attacked the Cuman/bandit camp and now I have to kill the bandit who stole my sword. Thing is I'm not nearly as skilled a fighter he is and I believe he has better armor too. Is there a way to kill him or do I just stay alive long enough? Or is it just me for rushing the game and am I condemned to replay over and over again until I understand the games battle mechanics that well that I can kill him?

She's the dumbest merchant I have ever seen in this game lol, she just locks her shop door 24/7 even when she's inside. I always have to lock pick it to go inside and buy from her, DOES SHE EXPECT CITIZENS TO LOCK PICK HER DOOR?

    Jesus christ be praised.

Issue with CPU usage/extremely low FPS

    Posted: 20 Aug 2020 10:41 PM PDT

So I just recently put together a new PC and downloaded the game - however, it's not going so well. I'm getting max 2 fps on the main menu and in the game. It's literally unplayable. I've been attempting to diagnose the problem myself with the help of mods, editing the .cfg files, but to no avail. This is my first PC build so if there is a hardware issue that could be the culprit, I have little to no idea what it could be. I've learned that this game is incredibly power-consuming as well however I don't have another, better PSU to test that with. I've got a Corsair RM650, 80+ gold if that matters.

On task manager, the CPU was about 60-70% usage on the main menu and 90-100% in-game. The cores on my CPU seemed to be evenly distributed however two cores were nearly maxed out. Seeing as others have used the same or similar CPU to run this game I don't think that the CPU itself is bad.

    My specs on my PC:

    AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-core

    AMD Radon RX 5600 XT

    16GB RAM, 2TB HDD

This is also on the most recent version of the game downloaded from Steam.

I have yet to test this rig on other games that I expect to be more optimized than this (downloading them as I type this). The idea is to see if there's an identifiable pattern in which case I suppose it would be an easy fix. This is probably just wishful thinking.

If anyone has any solutions to this problem I'd appreciate your help.
