Just finished my first hardcore mode playthrough.

Man what an experience this was. Never again am I using fast travel in a game. It just makes everything so much more immersive. I'd recommend it to everyone to try out hardcore mode.

With over 110 hours in the game, I still have no idea how the clinch mechanic works

    Posted: 12 Jun 2020 06:44 AM PDT

I have not seen it explained anywhere in game at all, I just randomly get kicked around in combat without knowing why. I've looked it up online too, but lots of people seem to understand it just as poorly as me.

Merciless playthrough, had to go back 20 hours

    Posted: 12 Jun 2020 05:02 AM PDT

So I'm about 140 hours into KC:D on ps4 Pro. I'm aiming for the platinum trophy, so doing merciless, virgin and king charming on 1 playthrough. I've had Mutt for about 20 odd hours and tested that if he killed an enemy, it wouldn't count as an enemy / person killed. After he killed bandits I checked the stats tab and it stayed at 0. Awesome! I done the 'ruin' quest and poisoned the bandit camps with bane, still stayed at 0....awesome. So after about 20 hours of randomness (I'm not in anyway rushing through this game, I am taking it slow and totally enjoying it!) After doing about 5 side quests, getting a new horse etc I checked the stats tab, it said 3 people / enemies killed?! I was gutted 😿 I had to keep loading previous saves and finally found a save 20 hours previous that put my kills back as 0.......gutted.

I have no idea how the kills even happened. I'm using Unharmed and have done since the start. I am wondering because I gave Mutt the skill that makes it easier to 'bleed' enemies, that could be the reason? Although I read somewhere that Henry MUST get the killing blow for it to count as a kill?

If anyone has had this happen to them or anything to add or advice, I'd love to hear it.

    Thanks guys, stay safe 🦊

KCD2 Probably not the title of the sequel?

    Posted: 11 Jun 2020 06:32 PM PDT

Just thinking out loud here: the name KCD2 gets used a lot to talk about a sequel, but I'm thinking it won't be accurate.

When you look at it, the title of the original game is "Kingdom Come: Deliverance". To me, that sounds a lot like Kingdom Come is the name of the series, and Deliverance is the name of the first game. The sequel then would be Kingdom Come: Sequel. Whatever that may be.

Deliverance makes a lot of sense for the first game, as it follows Henry's deliverance from the Cuman army.

How Practical is 'the ranger approach' ?

    Posted: 11 Jun 2020 06:42 PM PDT

I'm new to the game and have avoided reading too much about it online for maximum RP-ing.

I want to build Henry into a ranger of sorts. More bow and stealth, less sword and tongue. The game's deep RPG elements tell me this playstyle is possible, but given its hardcore nature, is an archer-thief build fun and sensible?

    Question

So I'm now at the third place in the game. Is this where I'm able to free roam?

Interesting alternate events in "All That Glisters" (quest spoilers)

    Posted: 12 Jun 2020 07:10 AM PDT

I had a bandit surrender to me at Ester's holding camp during "Damsel in distress" and rather than the usual dialog he told me the loctaion of the forger's workshop related to the main quest. Even a secret way in, through a ventilation shaft.

I'd never seen this before. I saved Ester and went with Ulrich into the mines (lots of ladders, a route marked with chalk arrows, probably been quicker to fight but there are 0 enemies this secret back way.)

Things played out pretty much the same but the Florian/Rapota questline remains open and get this... talking to them FAILS the MAIN QUEST.

Like I have vengeance but no other "main objective."

    weird.

Rattay merchants not replenishing their groschen? [PS4]

    Posted: 12 Jun 2020 05:52 AM PDT

Specifically the swordsmith and armourer. One is at 60g and the other ~250g, and both have been stuck there for several in-game days. I haven't really looked at other merchants or towns, but obviously this is a problem, considering I probably have 50k worth of loot in my trunk and can't sell it. Normally both would have 20k in groschen regularly at this point of a playthrough. Any suggestions?

    Why perkaholic isn't working?

    Posted: 12 Jun 2020 01:20 AM PDT

I'm trying to mod the vanilla version and it doesn't work, it might be related to something called PTF but idk what's that, it's the most recent version that I found and older versions don't work neither.

    This game is hard

    Posted: 11 Jun 2020 04:00 PM PDT

Combat is ridiculously hard. I am now stuck trying to get past the bandit leader in the church spire.

I am thinking of going back to a previous save then working through side quests to buff Henry more

is there a guide that explains how combat works on xbox?

Archery is impossible and getting a hit seems to be based on dumb luck. how do you buff that?

Sorry about the rant. i am enjoying the storyline. but the combat system is broken
