Finally found out that i can let him escape. Later i arrive in Sasau and suddenly he storms out his room calling me out in his pyjamas without any weapon, 2-3 hits and he surrenders lol Never would have thougt that i can solve this quest so easy [link] [comments]
Is it possible to deal with the fully armored ambushes that happen? Posted: 05 Apr 2020 08:21 AM PDT I'm at a level where the bandits I get are either peasants with no armor or completely armored with shields and maces. Is there any actual way to deal with 4 people fully armored charging me or am I just supposed to accept losing the last 30-60 minutes of gameplay? I run sword and shield with good armor and even on my higher level character that's fully armored with a long sword I can't kill these guys. [link] [comments]

A review of KCD, finished after 130h in hardcore. Posted: 04 Apr 2020 01:18 PM PDT Hello there, fellow Bohemians. After 130h on KCD I wanted to share my thoughts on the game and what I'd like to see in future Warhorse productions. I'd like to point out that I went straight for hardcore mode and that I don't own DLC's, so maybe some of my issues are solved in the additional content. Being an historical reenactor and fencer, Kingdom Come Deliverance is certainly a game that felt made for people like me. Realistic medieval games are rare but gaining in popularity. The only other game I appreciated on this aspect would be Mount&Blade. I therefore thoroughly appreciated the game but unfortunately, it doesn't lack issues that took me out of the experience. I'll list the elements that stand out the most in my opinion, whether good or bad. The immersion The first thing that struck me. The environments are very detailed and I never enjoyed roaming the forests as much as in KCD. The lighting effects are also very convincing in my opinion and having a torch becomes crucial during moonless nights. This immersion extends to Henry himself. Playing in first person and seeing mundane tasks being done is great in my opinion, with simple things such as picking up objects, climbing ladders, opening doors, sharpening weapons or throwing dice. I would have appreciated if this aspect had been developed even more, where we would have seen Henry eating, drinking potions, using bandages or cooking. Or the same topic, the tiredness and hunger management works well and isn't intrusive. I liked having to buy some food and drink for my travels, or hunt a couple of hares on the road. Even the skills and perks cover these often overlooked aspects of life, with skills such as drinking or reading. And don't forget to wash yourself ! The combat system Probably the main element around which KCD was advertised. Finally a game where weapons and armors behave as they should. The combat system is very innovative and I hope this will inspire other game studios to use similar mechanics. However there is room for improvements. Of all weapons, the sword is the most developed, leaving axes and maces with very few combos to pull off. The polearms are under represented and you can't even equip them. As for range weapons, shooting with a bow instinctively without a crosshair felt great and it was very rewarding when I got a headshot or managed to shoot a hare. It's still a shame they didn't include crossbows. Against one opponent, the system works perfectly. Against multiple opponents, well, it's tough, as it should be. But skirmishes and battles quickly become a huge mess. Some group cohesion would have been nice, although I'm well aware that it would require a whole new combat system. Horse riding Playing in Hardcore mode, with no fast travel available, having a fast horse is mandatory. Ironically, horse riding is not where Warhorse Studio shines. The horses themselves are fine, but not riding on roads can be quite irritating. I can't tell how often I got blocked by bushes, fences or ditches. Small paths in hills or forest can't be taken at full speed and you really have to go slowly to not end up in obstacles like those I mentioned. What I'm saying here is that I would have preferred the horses to be a bit more autonomous, especially when it's your main mean of travel. The Witcher 3 did a simple yet fantastic job at that, where you could just let your horse lock on the path. Fighting on horse back is not great either. It feels very clunky, but once you got the timing right, you become a semi-god able to take down dozens of well armed bandits by yourself. With more polearms, you shouldn't be able to do that, but the AI isn't very bright against mounted fighters anyway, which don't exist besides you. Technical issues A problem that can't be ignored : KCD is buggier than an Elder Scroll. Even after all those patches. The game doesn't run smoothly, textures take ages to be displayed properly. Clothes, gear or weapons are always clipping through each other. Some quests are definitely bugged. And finally, the AI can be borderline retarded, including the animals. More than once, a deer threw himself onto my sword, or a guard arrested me for murder, because I just killed the bandits attacking them. I can be rather tolerant on that, because it's the first game of a small studio, but let's hope it won't become an habit. Historicity Let's be clear, it's the most historical and realistic game we have. But just like the movie "Kingdom of Heavens", it leaves a lot to be desired, especially in clothing, weapons and armors. The Cumans are also anachronistic. And the forests are not as much exploited as they should. However the architecture and depiction of society are great. I could keep going on other matters, but I think I wrote quite enough for a review I wanted short. So to sum it up : a very immersive game with realistic and innovative mechanics, but being held back by technical issues. I'm looking forward for the next game, nonetheless. [link] [comments]

Posted: 04 Apr 2020 09:24 PM PDT You know when a quest seems to go swimmingly like nothing is going wrong, that is right up to the end. I seemed to have completed two of the quests in Sasau Monastery only partially In God's Hands and The House of God. The former I believe I missed out on the Chamomile Brew recipe and the latter I let the murder escape and forfeited a large reward. Even though I completed the quests to the givers satisfaction, I still have that sour feeling of failure. Though frustrating and disappointing it is still nice to have multiple avenues to a successful completion with vastly different outcomes. Some of these quests you have to play it smarter than most games allow. Am I alone in this thinking? Does anyone else like the complexity these quests? Or would you prefer more straightforward and clear quest objectives? [link] [comments]
Posted: 05 Apr 2020 06:14 AM PDT Got caught by some bandits off guard and now I have to re-do a few quests all over again. This is really discouraging. I don't understand why the devs decided to penalize frequent saving. [link] [comments]
Kingdom Come: Deliverance Language Options Posted: 05 Apr 2020 02:11 AM PDT So, I just wanted to start playing Kingdom Come. My problem is I really don't know if I should play in English or German. My Native Language is German, but I can understand both pretty well. I'm just curious what's the language this game is intended to play... [link] [comments]
Posted: 05 Apr 2020 05:02 AM PDT So I reached the monastery mission, I killed pious, and I got myself arrested to get out. But I keep getting the objectives for the monastery. Does it get fixed in the later quest or do I have to reload and do it a different way? [link] [comments]
