    Welcome Knights!

    Posted: 18 Mar 2020 10:32 AM PDT

I'm troubling with optimising my game:/ my pc is not that bad ( 8gb ram, etc.). I have already installed few mods that optimise the game, but with not much change. Constant lags when fighting even one opponent or simply not loading textures, invisible horse... Have any of encountered this problem and found solution?

When is the best time to go off and do side missions?

    Posted: 18 Mar 2020 10:01 AM PDT

I've played through the game twice now but I have yet to find a good point to go and max out my stats, make a billion groschen get awesome gear, and do side quests and DLC. It just feels like somebody is always waiting on me or I have limited time.

At what point in the main quest can I just wander off for like 4 months and do what I want with no ill effects to the main quest?

yellow dot crosshair disappears when bow is active?

    Posted: 18 Mar 2020 09:37 AM PDT

    hi

i just noticed why i suck so much with the bow: the yellow dot crosshair in the mid disappears when i use the bow. is this intended? since on youtube videos (viedos like: how to powerlevel achery etc) their yellow dot crosshair is still there, even if they use a bow. (the videos are from late 2018).

was this changed later or am i kinda bugged?

Need some help on how to get my main quest markers back please, they disappeared ages ago, I have the legend ticked for everything, it’s not just the main, some of the other side quests are missing markers too.

Killing people without it counting against me?

    Posted: 17 Mar 2020 11:15 PM PDT

I made a post earlier about how I was trying for a Merciful playthrough. I had gotten frustrated with the On the Scent main quest, since I didn't want to let Reeky die but also didn't want to kill the bandits. I figured I'd follow them and knock them out near the beginning of the quest, steal their stuff and it would make fighting them easier later on.

I knocked out one, then ended up in combat with a second one; I couldn't get a punch in with his shield, so I thought I could use a bow to lower his health, maybe he'd surrender. I shot him once, then he collapsed and died. Only thing is, it doesn't show under 'People killed', or even 'Enemies killed by bow'. Am I safe, or will this trigger something? I had an instance where I poisoned some Cumans in a camp with their stew, but it didn't count against me,

I'm not sure how this is 'merciful', though.

New olaythrough after a long time

    Posted: 18 Mar 2020 07:44 AM PDT

Hi so first off I have loved this game just not had the time to properly commit to it.

Obviously with the virus I now do!

Is there anything I should know after not playing since launch? Like any good routes for the beginning to make sure I don't miss anything etc.

I've experienced the game far enough that I don't need to go through the wonder of it again so that's why I ask for routes or what ever. I love the game regardless haha.

Is there a point where the main storyline isn't urgent?

    Posted: 17 Mar 2020 04:10 PM PDT

Now mind you, I mean this from a roleplaying point, more than mechanical. And this is of course assuming that your Henry cares about the main storyline.

    Spoiler alert:

So the furthest I got is the part where you're sent to investigate the monastery in Sasau after brining Ulrich's papers to Radzig's chief engineer.

To take the main questline from the start:

Reporting to Radzig first thing you do after waking up seems a logical thing Henry would do. He's literally obsessed with that sword. Radzig gives you a job and sends you to train with Bernard. Naturally you don't want to fuck this up, so you go to Bernard asap. When he's finished he sends you to the bailiff who then sends you to Nightingale. Once again, Radzig is doing you a lot of favors and you don't want to fuck it up, so it's probably not a good idea to not report to duty for a week.

From here, things just pick up and never stop. You fight with Hans and are sent to hunt with him the very next morning. When that is done, Neuhof is burned and you rush there with Bernard. Ginger runs and you have to pursue him before the trail goes cold as Bernard says. He gives you a lead on Limpy Lubosh and Radzig sends you to investigate. As you should, because naturally you want to get your hands on him before he runs away too. Then you find Lubosh gutted and it becomes obvious that you need to find his mates before the bandits do (which is actually true for Reeky). So you rush to find Reeky and get a lead on Timmy. And you rush to find Timmy because bandits will be after him too. Then you find the bandit camp in Pribyslavitz and Radzig (rightfully) wants it removed asap before they can make more trouble. And so you're thrown into Baptism with Fire without ever having time to train and pick up those master strikes you need for Runt.

But of course, it doesn't end there. As soon as this is done, you learn that Merhojed was attacked, and that whoever is backing the bandits has unlimited source of fake cash. And so you are to hit the road again and rush to Merhojed to interrogate a captive before more bad stuff happens. You find Merhojed poisoned and you rush even more to Sasau to get help. When that's done, you learn that your prisoner was supposed to get a new delivery of fake cash around now. So you better hurry to his meeting. There you meet Ulrich whom you're either catch before he runs, or you'll get ahead of him to Sasau. At this point, you can take a break for a couple of days before he shows up (what the hell even takes him so long). Once he does, it's back to business because there's still bandits and loads of fake cash moving around the province.

So when exactly in this are you supposed to take a break, take Theresa to a date and do some side quests? Pretty much everything starting with Hans' hunt is worded as super urgent matters (even if you can technically leave them be). Is there actually ever a time when Radzig allows you to take a break?
