Is, in your opinion, the "archery dot reticule" mod broken / an experience-ruining mod?

    Posted: 21 Feb 2020 08:38 AM PST

EDIT : and which mod you like that don't ruin the game?

I get low money on meat

    Posted: 21 Feb 2020 04:09 AM PST

As the title says, one boar meat i sell has the price of 0.2, and deer has 1.9. I tried millers, merchants but everywhere is the same price. I saw that some ppl on this sub saying that merchants have little money but for me ffs i get 6.8 coins for 34 boar meat. Idk is it because of my speech skill or something?

(PC) most efficient way to level base stats currently?

    Posted: 21 Feb 2020 07:28 AM PST

There are a bunch of guides out but most seem to be over a year old which makes it difficult to know what still works.

I am about 20 hours into the game and have a good setup but base stats specifically strength(currently at 8 strength) are what's limiting me on upgrades. What's the most efficient way to level base stats right now?

    Stealth kill

    Posted: 21 Feb 2020 08:11 AM PST

Im a new player and wanted to ask why stealth kill only works like 50% of time? Guards often just turn around and notify others. I don't think this is intentional as it makes stealth builds pretty bad and rng based.

What encounters/fights to avoid to prevent cheesing for equipment

    Posted: 21 Feb 2020 07:56 AM PST

I have a bad habit of being a lootwhore in every rpg I play, but I always realize after cheesing fights, that having the best equipment early ruins the immersion and breaks the economy to the detriment of the game.

What are the random encounters, easily cheesable fights etc. that I need to avoid to not become overpowered early in the game?

I only encountered the Skalitz bandit vs guard respawning fight so far, it was disgusting how easily I made thousands of groshens and suddenly having full plate armor for basically looting corpses that the npcs killed. It ruined the feel of the game for me and I had to rollback to an earlier save.

I also remember from an earlier playtrough that there is/was a forest path which always had a similar fight between fully kitted guards and bandits.

why do metal sword make cling sounds when they block wooden weapons?

    Posted: 21 Feb 2020 01:26 AM PST

i saw people being happy about there not being a sching sound when sheathing, but it seems everyone overlooked this one.

the sword also emits sparkles. it's hilarious looking.

EDIT: typo on the title: "metal swords", not "metal sword".

I'm only halfway through the game but I am VERY CURIOUS if any or all of the DLC for this amazing game is worth it? And if so whoever can help please lmk which ones are worth it or if all are that's great too I just want to hear it from core Kingdome Come fans and see before I go out & waste money.

I bought KCD uses for $16

    Posted: 20 Feb 2020 11:31 PM PST

I then proceeded to purchase all DLC's, not to play, but to give the studio my money. One of the best games I've ever played. I just finished my second playthrough and I'm going to try to get all skills maxed before I start over from scratch again.

    Cant start lockpick

    Posted: 21 Feb 2020 08:56 AM PST

    Hello,

I was playing this game for a while but now I start and cant lockpick anything.... chests, not even doors. I try to restart save file, load new save, restart game.. reconfigure control to another keyboard key but nothing help. Problem is that when I come to chest and hold E (on PC) nothing happened.. in right corner there is animation of start making circle around 'E' but not starting any animation.

    Can someone please help me?

Edit1) I have enough lockpicks in my player inventory.

Poaching and the use of meat?

    Posted: 21 Feb 2020 01:18 AM PST

I didn't play KCD for a while, now I'm back at it again!

I have a question - is there a game mechanic designed for a 'meaningful' poacher lifestyle? I really like the idea of my Henry spending a while in the forests, getting archer skills and making some money off selling the meat (and later the antlers, tusks, skins).

However, back then I noticed that selling (raw or cooked? I'm not sure) food stayed in the merchants inventory indefinitely. It even spoils eventually and the merchant didn't get rid of his pile of rotting meat.

I found this to be very un-immersive. Is there a fame mechanic I missed, a patch that changed this or a mod for my needs?

    Thanks!

Is the priest from Ulhitz so important that I can't even touch him?

    Posted: 21 Feb 2020 02:08 AM PST

I completed the quest called Don't play with the devil or something along those lines and the priest was all hissy pissy about me killing a bandit. I was thinking "ok, im gonna go sleep, save the game and try offing this guy coz he is pissing me off". I checked his dialog options and he didn't have any more quests.

So I go and try knocking him out and dragging him somewhere behind the shed to take care of his ass. And surprise, I can't knock him out, it's grayed out. I try poking him with a sword - nope, my crosshair goes X.

So either this NPC is very important and I can't kill him, which on it's own is kinda like the game spoiling itself for me, or the game just doesn't like me having the freedom of doing what I want.

Just before you say I'm trash talking the game. I like the game, but sometimes it seems like it takes 1 step forward and 2 steps back in the realism and fun categories.

    Where the f.. is Bernard?

    Posted: 21 Feb 2020 03:52 AM PST

So I'm whack and I need training and I'm looking for this guy since about 1.5 ingame WEEKS. I left Uschitze, found Hynek etc, now I have to go to Sasau.

Bernard is not in Neuhof NOR is he where he is fucking supposed to be, which would be right next to the training grounds. Also what are the other training areas for? Usually you find some bow guy at the shooting ranges but literally no-one is going on a 1v1 with you.

What am I doing wrong or don't understand?

When will the fighting system start making sense?

    Posted: 20 Feb 2020 09:50 PM PST

I, obviously, got this game very recently, and at first I LOVED it. I greatly enjoyed my first few hours, until I hit a wall. A big shitty fucking wall. The mission "The Prey". First time you get a real fight, and it's just awfull. I viscerally hate the fighting system. Your hit are awfully alow, leaving plenty of time for the opponent to hit you and then you got even less stamina than the barely anything you had before! And no matter how many times I hit them, they never seem to even slow down. It's so painfully unpleasant that I'm on the brink of uninstalling the game. And for reference, I'm a long time FromSoft fan, so I'm used to get punished. This isn't punishment, it's borderline torture.

BUT, I know that this game is slow paced and that you are supposed to suck early game, but will eventually become stronger and better. So my question is, when will the fighting system stop being a thorn in my ass and start being as fun as everything else in the game?

Or is it just this mission that is the eighth circle of hell?
