A cool idea I had for a theft mechanic

    Posted: 08 Jan 2020 05:06 AM PST

After the using the sleepwalking perk I was thinking about other cool randomly generated occurrences that could happen and the first thing I thought of was getting robbed.

What if there was a chance that under certain circumstances there would be a chance that the player is robbed (gets knocked out/sleeps outside/doesn't lock the door when sleeping in an inn etc.), it would be random how much is robbed- it could be just a few groschen or it could be all of your clothes. Then you would have a quest start in order to recover your gear (similar to when you leave something important on a dead body and you have to go to Rattay.)

The quest would then be randomly generating, it could be as simple as just riding down the road until you find thieves running away with your stuff or there could be a certain amount of investigation such as asking around town or inns if there has been anyone with shiny armour/spending a lot of money/talking about robbing someone. Then you could track them down which may lead to a bandit camp or just an encounter where you can persuade/threaten/attack them to give you your stuff back. Perhaps you could even have it linked to your reputation with the millers. If you do a lot of work for the millers, they might tell you that someone was trying to sell them your stuff.

I just like the idea that the world is made a more casually dangerous place to live in, something which gives you the option of playing safe like always sleeping in towns or take more risks. The world is already dangerous with bandits and cumans but I like the idea of normal people taking advantage of you as well. This wouldn't be something which happens often, it could even be that if the player is cautious enough that they would never be robbed.

    How to acquire monk’s habit?

    Posted: 08 Jan 2020 06:57 AM PST

I want to make the game a little challenging by playing hardcore mode with all negative perks as a pacifist wandering monk type character.

Is there an easy way besides joining the monastery to get a monk's habit, preferably early on? I'm not worried if I have to knock someone out for it but I would prefer to find it rather than steal it if possible.

Also, can you join the monastery before (maybe spoilers) doing that one quest?

    Weird Texture Bug

    Posted: 08 Jan 2020 07:08 AM PST

So I have this weird bug on textures (very visible on horses and doors) that when you walk up to them the texture seems to move in a wavy manner like when you watch something through moving hot air in summer. I can't make a video of it as I tried and you don't see it on the video, or at least you see so little of it it's not clear at all. In-game however it is very, very noticeable. What can I do?

How to kill all guards inside the monastery

    Posted: 08 Jan 2020 12:44 AM PST

I'm currently working on a monastery quest where I have to kill/capture this one guy, and I would really appreciate if someone could tell me where the guards are sleeping, if the door is locked to that room, and if I kill one in sleep, will others wake up ?

I just can't 1vs10 them and especially without any weapon.

Rattay bedsit requires a lockpick... what's happened?

    Posted: 08 Jan 2020 02:14 AM PST

I unlocked the bedsit in Rattay, but recently the door's been locked. I'm sure if I lockpick it I'll get in trouble, but I don't have anywhere else to sleep in the town. Does anyone know why I'm suddenly locked out?

    *SPOILER* A Woman's Lot

    Posted: 07 Jan 2020 06:31 PM PST

Hey, so I've been Around Reddit a bit, and it seems " A Woman's Lot" gets alot of hate... I mean yeah it's different from normal Henry play. But I feel that all the lore we learn is worth it either way in the long run... Sorry for any mislabeling

Love this game a ton. Really do...but the saving...

    Posted: 07 Jan 2020 05:06 PM PST

Was playing Woman's lot dlc. Had one savior schnapp left. Last save was pretty damn far back. Got to the part where I have to run away from the cumans. Go to use the last schnapp in my inventory... accidentally double tapped it and instead applied it to a food or item in my inventory. Gone. Died trying to run away from the cumans. Had to go ALL THE WAY BACK. Yea, I'm taking a good break.
