    Should I try Hardcore mode?

    Posted: 16 Oct 2020 08:42 AM PDT

I played KCD awhile back and got a decent amount through the story but I don't think it was that far (fought the guy upstairs 1v1 who took your sword and did a few missions passed that)

I am wanting to give it another go. I enjoy hard, immersive games a lot like Outward and Modded Skyrim SE.

I am wanting to give hardcore mode a go on KCD but just how difficult is it? The no map marker is appealing, but the no directional aim in combat seems like it could be pretty hard to an already difficult system. I am leaning towards giving it a try, just wanted to get everyone's feel for it before I do!

    Advice for monastery quests

    Posted: 16 Oct 2020 02:48 AM PDT

    Hi everyone,

I'm a real fan of KCD, and have started on a second playthrough last weeks. Everything went fine, up until the moment I was preparing for the monastery storyline. I have some bad memories from the last time i had to do that mission chain, because in my opinion it was very hard.

Do you have any tips for how to navigate through the monastary questline easy and simple, without having to redo days over and over again?

    Appreciated!

Noticed that there was a severe lack of blue in this game, I wanted to make something similar to this but can’t find any blue surcoats excluding B.O.B DLC anyone know where I could get one?

I play on Xbox 1 and about 80% of the time I want to sell/buy something it won't let me. My character is blacked out and won't let me hit any buttons. Anyone else having this problem?

Hot take: KCD is harder than Bloodborne

    Posted: 15 Oct 2020 12:32 PM PDT

I've platinumed Bloodborne, no hit ran a few bosses (one being Orphan), beaten all the chalices, etc etc... Nothing too special but still, it was hard.

KCD comes in and says "that's cute". Two v ones? More like willingly getting ganked as you're now getting fucked from the front and back. You want to get these items from this locked chest? Pfff, good luck picky boy, you're going to break 10 lockpicks just trying to open a very easy lock. You want to hit that piece of shit fucking rabbit that's 20 feet away with that lil bow n arrow? ...Your destination is actually to the left and slightly up

10/10, am enjoying the Middle Ages

    Finally finished after 400 hours!

    Posted: 15 Oct 2020 12:39 PM PDT

Well I'm happy to say that after 414.9 hours, I finally finished my first playthrough last night! The reason for all the hours is that I botched "Next to Godliness", I didn't know it was a timed quest and that I had to meet Hans at the bath house that night. I still kept playing and was almost done, but that quest stayed on my active quest list and kept reminding me that I messed up. So in the end I restarted the game and played through the whole thing again. I did start a Women's Lot, but after over 400 hours I probably won't go back to finish that, but never say never!

How to trigger random encounters (console)

    Posted: 15 Oct 2020 05:57 PM PDT

I've been noticing lately a lack of random encounters such as ambushes and the like. In my first playthrough I would be ambushed all the time, in the exact same spots. I'm currently in another playthrough, and while it happened at the start of this playthrough, it's not happening now. Im currently doing the main quest 'if you can't beat em'.

I've done some searching on the matter and while I'm not the only person it's happened to, I haven't found a reason to why its happening or how to fix/trigger the events again (apart from reloading).

Is the cutscene for the sermon the same no matter what or?

    Posted: 15 Oct 2020 05:04 PM PDT

I did all the modest options and passed every check, the people were cheering for me and godwin the whole sermon and I stood up for him at the end

and then it jump cuts and everyone is angry and godwin is mad at me for messing it up...

I was doing the part in the mission were pashek teaches you lockpicking and i am so bad at it. This game isn't easy and I knew that when i bought it but the lockpicking is a whole different level of hard. Idk what i'm gonna do for that because i can't lockpick for the life of me

I am looking for a hardcore realism mod

    Posted: 15 Oct 2020 11:29 AM PDT

I tried completing this game for 2 times already, and while I love the first half of the game, when I am a dirty peasant trying to survive, by the time I get to the pribyslavitz quest I already wear full plate armor and have a ton of gold, which immediately breaks my immersion and I always abandon the game because of it.

Anyone knows of a good hardcore mod, that would make surviving harder? A total economy overhaul would be welcome as well.

    Thoughts on dlc

    Posted: 15 Oct 2020 10:34 AM PDT

Hi all! I'm wondering if I could get some opinions on all the dlc? Are they all good and worth getting the season pass for or are there only a couple worth buying? Thank you all for the help.
