What would you like to see in the sequel? Posted: 17 Aug 2020 09:48 AM PDT Assuming a sequel is coming, what kind of changes and improvements would you like to see? I am starting with my little list: Learning Latin: it makes no sense that Henry can learn to read yet it is not possible to learn Latin. A good portion of books was in Latin so it would only make sense that henry should be able to pick up, at least some, Latin. Multilingual dubbing: I do not mean dubbing in multiple languages, I mean one dubbing with multiple languages. German knight ought to speak German among themselves, Czechs should speak Czech, Nobles might prefer to speak Latin among themselves etc etc. Using lamps instead of torches, and the candles should be getting burned out after a while. Implement proper curfew (like in Keepeing the Peace) close the city gates, no one allowed outside etc etc. More religion: People should be praying a lot more, at least Angelus and mass on Sunday should be implemented--> Henry should be able to order made to measure clothing, armour and weapons (possibly giving a little boost) Belts should be a separate part of clothing. More focus on daggers. They should be used in combos, grappling etc. Moreover different daggers should be suited for different uses, hunting dagger for skinning animals, a dagger for finding gaps in plate armour, balldagger for all-round and more. When it is possible (E.G Warhammers) it should be possible to choose if you want to hit opponent with edge 1 (pointy end) or edge 2 (blunt end) and the hit should give different damage depending on what you choose. Those are few of the ideas I have. Do you have any thoughts? [link] [comments]

Did they remove some graphical settings? Posted: 17 Aug 2020 06:45 AM PDT I've read somewhere that they removed global illumination, did they remove any other settings too? I remember the game looking far better at release but I haven't played it for quite some time. Is there a way to enable some of these settings? Maybe through an ini-file somewhere? I get around 75-100 FPS with all settings maxed out because I wasted my money on SLI, so I can afford more graphical settings if there are any :-) [link] [comments]

'Fake Name' as an quest item in my inventory? Posted: 16 Aug 2020 11:30 PM PDT I have just finished the prologue a few days ago and found this strange quest item I can't remember where I got it from... It doesn't have a description beside just "fakename". What is it? [link] [comments]

Controversial opinion: intro chapter is too short Posted: 16 Aug 2020 01:39 PM PDT Introductory chapter where Scalitz gets attacked and Henry buries his parents is incredibly short and undeveloped. In fact, it should've been a whole first act of the game with 6—18 hours of gameplay with 2—5 main quests and side missions which would outline the basics over the course of a few in-game days. Instead we get something that most people complete in 2, maybe 3 hours. Basically in a single not so long gaming session. If you are in rush, you may complete it in minutes even without dialogue skips — just follow the markers. Pretty much all characters were left undeveloped. For the rest of the game I kept wondering, who all these people are. The only character everyone remembers is Kunesh because of an attempt to beat him in a fist fight (some succeed). You may remember Matthew and Fritz since you can find them later in the game, but I completely forgot the name of the 4th guy we smeared shit over Deutsch's house with. Bianca, the love of whole Henry's teenage life, is shoved under the rug because there was no emotional connection formed. You loot a fancy ring from her body, Henry murmurs a voice line about her death, that's all! I gifted the ring to the mill wench and forgot about Bianca altogether. As far as I'm concerned, Bianca should've been removed from the game. The same applies to everyone else. Whenever I think of a character, I always think about what he is doing after the siege of Silver Scalitz. Take Beran for example: he needed his stash exhumed because of his wife nagging him about money. There was nothing said about who he was in Silver Scalitz and what he did for living. Did you get that Alex may be Silver Scalitz bailiff's son? They are sitting in the tavern together, visual similarity is there. There is a number of details like that. What makes Johanka such an expert in medical field? The only thing I saw her do in Scalitz was sit on the bench. Her character had no other programming there. Scalitz-Johanka lacked any dialogue options, nobody in Scalitz had anything to say about her. Suddenly she is in charge of the wounded. There's barely any emotional impact from deaths of all these people, because we don't get to know these people. You can draw whatever kind of gore and our protagonist nearly puking at the sight of it, I don't care. If we had felt emotional attachment to a random limp human body with ragdoll physics, 14 y/o girls would cry over Garry's Mod. Even when it comes to the game resources, there's an enormous chunk of the map with detailed buildings, a few camps and other structures around Silver Scalitz. All of it becomes completely lifeless (with enemy mobs randomly spawning) after the intro chapter. You can't even properly explore this beautifully detailed and even programmed area in the 2-hour intro — what a waste! They tried to fix this disaster with A Woman's Lot DLC, but it should've been in the base game. I'm annoyed because there seems to had been an attempt for something grander than 2 hours of "le Sigismund and his army has arrived." The entire Silver Scalitz was clearly set up for 24 hour day cycle functionality. There are chests for traders, there are spots for everyone to sleep. NPCs have jobs, they have actions to perform through the day. As an open world location, Scalitz was properly fleshed out by game design department, only to be massacred by the writers room, it seems. The entire intro should've been the first act of the three-act story. There should've been 6—18 hours of gameplay, a number of side quests, a few main quests which allow you to progress forward, and invisible map borders containing you in Scalitz area. I wish there was a way to interact and learn about all Silver Scalitz folk, even the ones that get to die. Especially those who die. Otherwise their death isn't emotionally impactful. Is this game playable now on consoles? Posted: 17 Aug 2020 02:00 AM PDT I bought this game a long ass time ago and put it down because of the bugs. I've had characters bug out where you can't talk to them slow loading on the character models where they look like plastic mannequins slow loading of the town enviroments where they are invisble for a second the talmberg gate permanently shut on me when trying to escape and stayed that way throughout the game items disappearing the big fight with the guy who steals your sword bugged out on me framerate problems Etc etc etc I heard the game is no longer receiving updates. Is the game playable now? [link] [comments]
Broke noob running into debt from village dlc Posted: 16 Aug 2020 12:32 PM PDT So I started playing the game like two days ago and I just started the From the Ashes DLC, I have like 200 groschen and I'm running in debt from the village. My lockpicking is level 3 and my armor and sword are very bad, I have no way of making money by stealing stuff or killing bandits, killing a single bandit literally takes like 5 minutes of walking backwards and stabbing him. When there's more than one enemy I usually have to flee. How do I not run into debt from the village anymore? My Henry can't read yet so I can't even check how much in debt I am at the book at the rathaus tent. [link] [comments]
Posted: 16 Aug 2020 07:17 PM PDT Am I correct in using Nexus Mods for all my mods or are there newer ones somewhere else? I'm looking for a rep mod but the one on there doesn't work, I stealth killed most of the Rattay guards and some unnamed civilians, no one saw me and those that briefly did question my presence very quickly found themselves unconscious, some barely woke from their beds, however the omnipresent AI has still found out and it's affected my reputation which is now 0 with Rattay which is annoying and i'd like to reset it to 50 or at least raise it easily, even a stay in prison only got it to 18! Questions about certain quests, help needed Posted: 16 Aug 2020 07:03 PM PDT In the mission to steal the Necronomicon from the Sasau Monastery, I reached this big cabinet which when I lockpicked showed a bookshelf so I assumed is the correct location, but running the crosshair all over the bookshelf reveals nothing to take. Am I at the right place or did the quest glitch by not spawning the correct item? I found the key for the cabinet after I lockpicked it, but don't know if that matters. Does it also matter that I'm at the point where I'm supposed to infiltrate the monastery? Also, I stumbled upon Karl and his guardian after I had lockpicked their chest and stolen their writ, which removed the "speak to Karl" objective. In my possession is the guardian's coin purse, which I guess I'm supposed to give to Karl so that he can enjoy a few more days before entering the monastery. However after I've asked to speak to Karl alone, and the guardian walks away, I don't have the option to speak with him, it just shows pickpocket. Is this part glitched because I'm already quest-checkpointed to enter the monastery? Any advice is appreciated! [link] [comments]

Has The No Random Encounters Bug Been Fixed? Posted: 16 Aug 2020 07:00 PM PDT Apparently after meeting with Timmy's sister, there is/was a bug that prevented random encounters from happening. I am about 10 hours after that point, and really don't want to redo that progress. So has that bug been fixed? [link] [comments] |
