[Help Needed] All That Glistens Camp Fight

    Posted: 19 Jun 2020 09:06 AM PDT

Hey guys, first off I apologize if there's like dozens of these thread already. I've searched all I could, but I'm still having trouble so PLEASE HELP!!!

I'm stuck on All That Glistens, particular the Camp Fight after speaking to Florian and Rapota and all that jazz. I successfully recruited Ulrich (sp?) to help me fight, but I'm still completely overwhelmed by the 5+ bandits we have to fight. I tried going at sunrise as well as after midnight (they weren't asleep), and I still can't find a way to win.

First off, Ulrich gets killed like not even a minute into arriving at the camp. I tried leading in front of him, buying him some time but that just ends up getting myself killed. I tried following him, coming right behind him but we just both get surrounded and killed. I tried drinking a Bower's Brew or wtv, the Bow Booster potion to go in and shoot a fuck ton of arrows, but I think I just really really suck at shooting arrows (in-game level 3). Is there a specific arrow type I should be using? I'm using Long Distance right now but might try with Piercing next try. I do not know how to get past these frickin bandits!!!

All my armor are in the mid 20 defense stats, except my helmet which is in the 10's. I'm using Capon's bow and my sword's attack is in the 50's range.

One idea I had was to load back to before I upgraded my stealth perk and get Stealth Kill instead of Crouching Chameleon (thankfully not TOO long ago but would like to keep this as a last choice if possible). But I still don't know when the bandits are asleep.

If literally anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate it!!

    Have I ruined my game?

    Posted: 19 Jun 2020 07:00 AM PDT

So guys I started playing and due to a broken foot KCD has taken up like 6 hours everyday for the last week. At first it was just pure addiction, the story interested me and I liked the fact that I was shit at everything, it made me excited to get better and see what would happen. A couple days later, I have all abilities between level 15 to 20, mastered the combat with every weapon kind and achieved godhood in this game. I received the mission to scout the bandit camp from Sir Radzig, and I realized I could kill 20 people with no problem at all, destroying them with the mace, later in the battle I was able to one-shot everyone and I feel my interest slowly diminishing.. is there any twist later on that brings more challenge? did I make a mistake in becoming so OP so quickly? are there very advanced moves and skills that only unlock at level 20? (especially looking for faster combat)

    *Spoiler* Rocketeer Side Quest

    Posted: 19 Jun 2020 04:10 AM PDT

So I'm going all around getting everything ready for the Talmberg siege, which means I just finished the Rocketeer side quest. I got fooled by Peychar and his (now obviously) dumb story about why he was sneaking around the monastery. I did not kill him. I convince Kyeser to go build the trebuchet and then I go off to finish the other siege side quests. I eventually make my way back to camp, talk to Kyeser and he's livid because Peychar tried to sneak up on him again! Oops. Kyeser then says that Peychar's body is laying "over there". I've looked all around the camp, but can't find Peychar's body anywhere. Was anyone foolish enough to let Peychar live and know where is body may be around the Talmberg siege camp? I've looked elsewhere online but haven't been able to find this same scenario played out in the same way. Small decisions leading to unique experiences is why this game is so fantastic!

    Posted: 19 Jun 2020 05:10 AM PDT

Just wondering if I'm going to encounter any issues if I install a DLC whilst I am part way through a play through . I've just reached Rattay and am playing on the Xbox one

I just shot down a bird's nest. I'm so proud!

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 01:47 PM PDT

Just wanna share: I shot down a bird's nest today! Haven't done any archery training yet, and it took me almost 20 arrows, but I did it! Even found a necklace that got me about 70 Groschens!

I'm so proud! was just a helpless peasant. Now I'm marginally less so.

Considering the game is free on steam would like to try it but..

    Posted: 19 Jun 2020 01:27 AM PDT

There has been a little bit of skepticism around this game. Now my questions are: 1) why do you guys keep playing it? 2) does it have a beautiful and realistic medieval world? Is exploring a big part of this game? Coz I love exploring 3) how is the soundtrack?

I LOVE this game, but I quit because I can't beat Runt. It's been a year, and I give up, can someone help me cheat past this mission?

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 10:35 PM PDT

I know, I know, I suck at combat and stuff. But I've been trying this for a year now and I literally just can't. That's not an exaggeration, I've been trying for a year. I want to rip my hair out. I want to see the rest of the story really badly, but I just can't kill Runt. I didn't want to cheat, but I'm at the end of my rope. HALP.

Respawning Guard With Sir Hans' Keys?

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 02:34 PM PDT

So, there's this annoying guard in the Rattay Armoursmith, who never sleeps and respawns every day. He also respawns with 25-30 sets of the keys from Hans' DLC mission where you need to get the Sylvan Red.

Is... is this supposed to be a thing? It's getting annoying having to murder a man and rob the presbytery every time I go shopping.

I just pillaged basically all of sassau(not the monastery). Is it worth to keep playing or should I load a save from before?

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 11:32 AM PDT

So I was apprehended by a guard in sassau and I decided to fight him, not expecting to win. I somehow managed to kill every sassau guard, so I just figured that I could steal every valuable in town, so I basically pillaged sassau.

So here I am, with 3.5k extra Groschen in my inventory and a few extra merchants on my list of killed NPC's. Is it worth it to keep going or would I be missing out on too many quests if I don't load a safe from earlier?

    Epic Games to Steam

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 04:41 PM PDT

I have the game on Epic, but the game is on a free weekend on Steam. So I tried to make Steam recognize my existing game, and I can find my saves. But I'm not sure if I can keep it or it will just disappear in 2 days. Anyone else confused?
