Posted: 25 Apr 2020 09:09 AM PDT Years of button mashing games have spoiled me. When fights begin to get desperate, I start doing it again. I'm glad to say I can block half decent and clinching I'm finally winning most (again, button mashing but also a perk, I think). Does anyone have any advice to combat on console. Or just repetition? I've essentially finished Ginger in a Pickle and am heading off to report my findings to Sir Radzig. Hopefully this means Bernard will start being at Rattay again to to train with. Posted: 25 Apr 2020 01:13 AM PDT So, I'm not playing Hardcore (yet) but I've decided to quick travel as little as I can. So I'm going through the woods and I see what looks like a hut. It's actually a big rock on a cliff, but this cliff overlooks a precarious camp of three armed Cumans. I drink my savior schnapps and see if I can take them; I can't. So, I move into plan two. Murder them in the night. Wait till midnight, and start sneaking along the road into their camp. I've murdered plenty of bandits in their sleep when they're too tough to confront, but I think to myself, "well, the Cumans should have some degree of soldiership since they serve in Sigismund's army..." Lo and behold, chilling by the fire in full garb is one Cuman. I guess they had decided to pull shifts. I ended up attacking him and we had a long drawn out fight where I eventually won't one of his sleeping comrades woke up and stumbled between as butchered and the other fled into the night. He eventually came back but all their stuff was locked away (which was unfortunately too tough for me). But it was so awesome that the Cumans actually pulled guard shifts. Even more so that bandits don't so that there is a distinguishable difference between enemies [link] [comments]
Oh god oh fuck I killed my boy Posted: 24 Apr 2020 10:04 PM PDT Ulrich is one of my favorite character and on this playthrough I did the mission where you first meet him and duel him. I win and we chat and make plans. He then walks down the road makes it a few feet then falls over and dies. I forgot that I had put poison on my Piercer. Im so sad and I dont have a recent save [link] [comments]

Posted: 25 Apr 2020 05:51 AM PDT I'm stuck at the becoming a monk mission on Xbox one... I've looked up at a walk-through on how to do it.. But as soon as I go into it, it just let's me open the chest...it doesn't do it like it does it in the video. Is there something I'm doing wrong? (I'm going in the room next to the opening where the point is shown, but it doesn't allow me to drop my stuff) [link] [comments]
I took a sweet time beating the shit out of runt Posted: 24 Apr 2020 07:46 PM PDT It just doesn't feel right to give him a quick, painless death over all the shit he had done. This guy is a first-rate scum. Killed his own minions. Attacking a defenseless settlement just to kill people (and horses) with absolutely nothing to gain whatsoever. Hunting down ex-partners in crime because of a disagreement. We don't know what else he did before meeting Henry, but this guy is textbook example of what we call trash of the society today. So I took out the worst axe I can find during the raid, and beat the living shit out of him. I had gained 3 skill levels from my fight with him. His armor absolutely looks like rags when I'm done with him. There's so much red on it it doesn't look like a dark brigandine. I would call it Red-Black instead of Aachen Dark if I could take that armor home, hang it on my fireplace, next to the axe. It felt so satisfying beating him to a pulp and I suggest you try it sometime. [link] [comments]

Unable to handle even a single enemy Posted: 25 Apr 2020 09:26 AM PDT New to the game, I've looked at the posts saying to level up before you try to fight everybody. My problem is I can't even level up in training because I get 7 hit combo'd constantly. I decided to try the tournament in Rattay and the furthest I made it with 3 attempts is the 2nd round and the first fight literally took almost 20 minutes of repeatedly stabbing this guy in the fucking face no joke 50 times. I don't get it... I have strength and agility and one other stat up to 6 and cannot for the life of me do anything in combat. It's so bad and the fact that I can be hit through me attacking them but as soon as they hit me 1 time my attack is canceled and my guy spins his head around twice then by the time I see straight again I'm already in a 7 hit combo and my health is completely gone. If I can't fight you would think running away would be the next best option? Nope every enemy runs the speed of a wolf in full sprint and can combo you while you're sprinting away from them. Seriously what the hell am I supposed to do? It's absurd if they developed this game with the idea that people would sit in tutorial town for 30+ hours and grind levels by training with Bernard. I love story based games but this gameplay is so far so unenjoyable I don't know if it's even worth trying to continue. Am I missing something or is combat in this game just going to be god awful the entire time? [link] [comments]
