Just wanted to say, this is beautiful, and reminds me of camping... and I ask of the community... Is this the most beautiful game you've ever played? This is not the best scene I've seen in KCD, but quite nice

On a post about a tunnel created by an Czech monarch. I guess I overestimated how many people would know about KC:D.

Just wondering what kind of frame rates folks are getting at this resolution? Getting a new rig next week and I'm curious how my setup will handle this resolution.

    New Rig:

Ryzen 3700x, 3600mhz CL16 RAM, Install on SSD, 5700xt Sapphire Pulse.

    Thanks

Which do you guys think is better/less annoying - the repetitive gwent music in Witcher 3 or the repetitive tavern/farkle music in KCD?

Should I but KC:D Royal Edition?

    Posted: 03 Dec 2019 10:05 PM PST

I have been looking at this game for a while, and it seems like my type of game. It's currently at a local retailer for $12. However, the only things putting me off are that the game looks clunky (sword fighting specifically), and that it might be a touch too realistic for me. Are these things I should be concerned about, or should I just buy the game?

    Thanks in advance.

Other than making Martin Luther roll in his grave, what does buying indulgences do?

    Posted: 03 Dec 2019 10:37 AM PST

I know that it's essentially paying for God's forgiveness, but I haven't the faintest clue what it does from a game play perspective.

So, about Sir Hans' and Henry's behavior in the Tavern...

    Posted: 03 Dec 2019 02:26 PM PST

Going for my third (or fourth? I forget) playthrough after taking almost a year away from it.

Just watched the two of them have their little disagreement and tussle when Henry has rung on behalf of the Bailiff to enforce the closing of the Tavern but Sir Hans doesn't feel like leaving...and I have a stupid question.

Who is in the "right" here, or are they both just straight up in the "wrong"?

On the one hand, Henry is wrong because Sir Hans is nobility and will (one day) be the one and only lord of the town, so if he doesn't want to obey a rule then he feels like he shouldn't have to, and Henry (a member of the commor rank) should have no perceived "right" to try and make him do so.

On the other hand, Sir Hans is not in fact the lord of Rattay, and as Henry points out it is ineed Sir Hanush who is the overlord and ruler of the town and the secular power from which Henry (in his acting role in the guard atm) derives his authority, and therefore had not only a right but a duty to enforce the rule of law has vested in him by the Baliff of Rattay by command of the Lord of Rattay Sir Hanush, whereby Sir Hans' refusal to obey those lawful commands makes Sir Hans in the wrong.

Of course the moment they both began to fight one another, they were both wrong, as Henry should have not raised his hand against Nobility and should have instead went and informed his superior, who would have informed Sir Hanush, who (as a member of the Nobel rank and Lord of Rattay) could have then taken the right and legal action as he saw fit...but I digress.

With all of that in mind, was it wrong of Henry to push and insist that Sir Hans vacate the tavern to enforce curfew, or was it wrong for Sir Hans to disregard that order and assume it doesnt apply to him? I know its just a game and its just a silly little tidbit of the story to give the plot a reason to put you on buddy-buddy terms with Sir Hans and all that jazz...but as a history nerd who is fascinated with Feudal law and how it was actually practiced in the real world, I am intrigued.

Thanks for the time! Cant wait to see the possible responses
